here's the potty chart i made for her.

siguro nakatulong talaga na nakikita nya kami ng ate nya na nagpoop or wiwi..sinasabi namin ano ginagawa namin...saka siguro kasi maaga sya natuto magsalita..kaya she can say popo or wiwi...

tiggerlily, with my son, we used to get him up a few times at night. Nung umpisa mga 3x/night, then we slowly dropped one after  another hanggang he learned to wake up by himself to go potty.

^Thanks sis.

^ I let my baby wear pajamas, hmmm yung medyo manipis lang para hindi din mainit especially in this summer heat. And reason ko is para kung sakaling may accidents, di gaanong messy ang floor kasi na-absorb na ng pajamas/cloth ang basa  ;)

I started potty-training my daughter like 2 months before her 2nd birthday, pero hindi ako consistent kasi nahihirapan ako  :D Pero 2 weeks after her 2nd birthday ayan marunong na siya. Right now at 2.3 y/o masasabi kong 98% pasado na siya  ;)

hi mga mommies! pahelp naman, can you call a child 'potty trained' even if he can't clean himself pa afterwards? like especially after he pooped? he is 6yrs old, and his teacher scheduled an appointment for me to meet her,I think she wanted to talk about my son's toilet issues..
there was an incident na my son came home(from school) with poop on his briefs,I asked him about it,he said 'teacher said we can't go to the CR if we are doing some seatwork' WTH??
though my instances din siya na in the nick of time bago pumunta ng CR to poop! and ayun nga minsan he ends up with poop na in his briefs!! kaya din kahit andito na lang sa house, ganun nangyayari...nakaka frustrate! eh ang lakas pa naman niya kumain(im not complaining) so minsan talaga 2-3x siya mag poop in a day..w/c I believe normal lang naman since he's just a boy na malakas lang talaga kumain...

I always tell him/remind him na don't do it again...nakakastress..I don't know what to do..it's only half of the problem, the other one naman is 'how to teach him to clean himself after he poops' with using tissue and/or wet wipes..especially if he is at school..kaya ngayon dependent pa siya with his teacher to clean him...I am being patient about this kasi he is just starting out with it,but parang I think his teacher/s are not...

with all of my toddlers

Twins - 4yrs old (hindi na toddler pala)
Bunso - 3 yrs old

Messy pero all worth it kasi natuto talaga sila..

:) Ako rin, napotty train ko kagad yung son ko at 2 and a half because I gave him stickers every time he successfully told me that he's going to pee or poop and then went at the potty or the bathroom.

Nung una, both hubby and I were working kasi and nag-aalaga lang sa son ko yung mom and dad ko, who also have a business. Then when I resigned and started working full-time at home, busing-busy din ako with work and taking care of my son kaya di ko pa nastart yung potty training. Nagstart lang ako nung napressure ako sa kapatid and cousins ko na puro potty-trained na mga anak... though sila kasi may yaya, ako wala.

But I got the sticker idea from my cousin, and triny ko kagad. We bought some cartolina and put a sticker board in the bathroom, and bought a box of car stickers. My son really loves car stickers kasi. Medyo stressful nung first few days kasi maraming accidents - ginawa ko kasi is I immediately stopped putting diapers on him, and reminded him to tell me when he wants to pee or poop. So first few days madalas ang accidents, and mop ako ng mop. Pag off ni hubby, siya taga-mop, hehe.

But I was surprised that he quickly learned what he needed to do. In just one week, halos wala ng accidents and di ko na siya dinadiaper in the day, pag night time sleep na lang. He really enjoys earning stickers when he pees on the potty or the bathroom. He's so proud of himself.

I was really surprised na di pala ganun kahirap once nung nagtiyaga talaga ako. Yung first few days lang mahirap kasi nga wala ng diaper and mop ng mop. But I'm glad I did it because he quickly got potty trained. Next time tatry ko na when we go out not to put diaper...

my daughter is 2.5yo now. wala na kami problem pag pee at poop kapag araw. ang concern ko is bed-wetting, kasi super ayaw na nya mag-diaper kahit sa gabi. di naman pwede samin yung gigisingin ko sya para mag-pee dahil sobrang nagwawala pag na-istorbo ang tulog. so madalas, gigising ako around 12, nakaihi na sya nun sa kama.. :( (naglagay na lang kami ng pang-protect sa mattress) may times pa na twice pa sya nag-pee overnight, so i have to check pag nagigising ako. kaya lang pag napasarap na yung tulog ko, hindi ko na alam how long na ba sya nakababad sa wiwi nya.. :(

kau mommies, how do you deal with this?

When my son was this young ganyan din eh. What I did was I let him pee first before he gets to bed. And less liquid pag gabi na. Para sure na empty ang bladder.  ;)

^Same strategy tayo sis.. what we're doing now is to avoid liquid before bedtime.. at least an hour or 2.. at night meron pa din sya diaper kasi monitor ko muna ang diaper kung gaano kadami ang pee nya in the morning and how often in a week sya mag pee at night.. but in the afternoon, success kami sa 'no diaper' when taking a nap..

i'm happy that my daughter at 2.8 yo is already toilet trained. ayaw na nya sa potty and diaper. kapag matagal yung byahe, i insist on putting a diaper on.. aba, at talagang pinigil niya yung wiwi and pupu dahil ayaw talaga sa diaper.
