At least one should be of the same religious sect of the wedding officiant.

Thanks sis ganun pala yun, so pag solemnizing officer or reverend as long as hindi christian pwede magkasal diba?
Nakabook na kasi kme sa chapel on the hill sa tagaytay kaso parang ayaw na ng husband ko kasi sa tanuan gusto nyang reception, so 30 mins ata travel via talisay. So till now undecided kami. :-(

same here. Sa church kami kinasal but the people who were there was 2 pastors, wife of the pastor, 2 churchmates, 1 SIL and my baby. Natatawa yung pastor na nagkasal samin kasi ang DAMI daw namin. Haha. Sobrang funny nung wedding rites but it was simple yet memorable. Sobrang personalized ang ceremony.

Hello. Anyone here had their wedding officiated by Pastor Ed Lapiz? Any inputs or feedbacks?
We have been eyeing him for awhile now as my w2b is a member of his congregation and I also join her in attending their gatherings on Sundays. She already tried contacting him through his email account, but knowing he's a busy person, he might have overlooked some of the emails. We gladly appreciate if someone from here would be able to refer us to him or by providing us his contact details,if possible.

Lastly if he's not available, any wedding officiant recommendations is also appreciated. Someone who can officiate a Catholic-Christian garden wedding. Thanks a lot in advance.

Di ako taga Victory pero yes libre nga sila pero sana magbigay naman tayo ng honorarium for the effort. hehe

The Pastor who officiated our wedding was from Ellinwood Malate Church,the church rental fee inclusive na of the honorarium to the pastor. We brought our Pastor friend who knows us since we were 9 and 10. May utang pa ako sa kanyang dinner sa Yakimix with his family kasi he likes dinner over cash. Lol

Hello! Christian wedding din yun samin kasi pareho kaming born again ni h2b, yung church pastor namin ang mag oofficiate ng wedding.. =)  iisang venue lang din sa Oasis,,, sa garden ang ceremony then sa Verandah ang reception...

sis, you can get a pastor to perform a "Christian" wedding ceremony w/o changing religions.

for born-again/evangelical Christians kasi, the reason for "changing religions" kasi is not just because one wants to have a "Christian" ceremony, rather it is a personal faith decision of a person, independent of others' decisions.

many Catholics hold "Christian" ceremonies because they also want to hold a wedding ceremony outside the church building, pero it doesn't mean na nag-convert sila. yun lang, hope this clarifies. God bless sa preparations!

anyway, mga sis!!!!!!!!! this may sound a bit crazy, haha. pero actually ang dream wedding ko kasi talaga is a sunrise wedding in Tagaytay. yung tipong ang wedding ceremony ay from 5:00am to 6:30am, then reception is 7:00am to 9:00am. crazy, i know. ang problema lang, baka ma-late halos lahat ng guests namin! haha! at baka maraming mag-react negatively sa sobrang aga! baka ang dumating lang ng maaga eh tatlo: groom, bride, officiating pastor. HAHAHA!

has anybody tried holding a wedding ceremony na ganito kaaga? tee hee!

girls (and guys), just to be clear, yung mga pastors that i can refer to handle your wedding, syempre may love gift or stipend diba? just like when you pay sa church, may binibigay din naman sa priest. for the time, effort and everything. wala akong porsyento jan, i just coordinate for them kasi tumatanggap lang sila magkasal ng di nila kilala if ako nagre-refer kasi po kilala nila ako at kumbaga trusted na.

you will coordinate with me regarding the details then pag sure na kayo and malapit na ang event tsaka ko po ibigay number nila.

ayun, para lang malinaw. baka kasi magulat yung iba pag nagsabi na ako na may stipend. thanks!

^kung kilala and close mo ang pastor pwedeng token na lang. any item na pwede nya magamit. pero if like yung sa case ko, kukunin mo talaga yung service nya. starts at 3k siguro para sa gas/transpo, time, etc.
