my bf wants me to move in with him pag nagawa na yung bahay na nabili nya sa laguna, after my training. we're at the right age to live separately from our parents (actually sya matagal na. while i'm still living in my parents' house). hopefully, my parents will let me go na. hehe!

sometimes masaya isipin nga na laging kayong magkakasama hehe kaso the conservative part of me is saying NO haha wait till we get married. although halos magkasama na talaga kami whenever I am in Pinas for vacation dun ako sleep lagi sa kanila or siya sa apartment ko. feeling ko oks lang sa parents niya kasi 6years na din kami. tawag na nga sakin ng mom niya "asawang hilaw" hehe kasi nga it's like parang nagbabahay bahayan kami.

we're all adults & mature & we should know the pros and cons of all our actions..sakin ok din to pero un nga the conservative part of me is saying no hehe arte...

my boyfriend and i live together.

but it wasn't like: "hey, we're so in love with each other, lets play house!"

it was less romantic and more of: "hey, our dorm rooms are ripping us off with their over pricing. lets find a cheap apartment -- lets move in to that apartment with that other guy from school!"

we got our own separate rooms, and we pay the rent and bills separately.

its fun, but then you start getting annoyed by each other's habits, like leaving dirty dishes and ashtrays everywhere. and sometimes, we get bored and sick of each other. :P

it feels like a comedy sitcom with us.

My boyfriend opened up that topic na din. The first time he asked me, I was really opposed to the idea but I told him pagiisipan ko.

My concern kasi is baka magkasawaan kami especially because we both work from home. Besides, I spent most weekends at his condo din naman. But I do think he would be a wonderful partner. He cooks our meals and really really takes care of me. Besides makakatipid ako ng upa lol. Once we turn 6 months or one year, I might consider moving in na. I also want someone to take care of him since he lives alone and he doesn't have any family here.

hindi ba siya very constricting? as in araw araw magkikita kayo...

i stay with him almost every weekend...ayun bahay bahayan kami. pinagluluto ako. naglalaro kami ng ps3. nagkukulitan. kaso....

my boyfriend kasi likes staying at home lang kasi matipid siya.
ako naman very gala! i save din naman pero i know when to have fun.

strange this is ako yung babaeng pinay na galang gala.

Me and my bf we're planning to get our own place a month before our wedding. We need to start buying stuff for our own house kasi, nakakahiya naman kung itatambak namin yun sa house ng parents and future in laws ko. Pero live in ayoko talaga hangga't di pa married. Tempting pero may pagka-conservative kasi ako e. ;D

It's both a bad and a good idea. Bad kasi you'll know all his bad habits and how he really is in his comfort zone and baka maturn-off ka sa kanya because of those habits. It's a Good idea para malaman mo nga what he is like in hes comfort zone. hahaha  ;D

By living together, this will give you the idea of what its like to "marry" the person you are with now, without the papers - "trial stage". It could even make you change your mind of the whole relationship.. if you're really sure of him or not. Well, you can still walk away if things won't work out, it will save you from wanting to marry the person in the first place.

.not because i already have a kid doesnt mean i have to lower down my standards.

most of my friends living together having a hard time get into the marriage. tumatagal na yung panahon ng pagsasama nila but still hindi parin sila kinakasal. live in parin sila. most of the time, ang babae ang humihingi na ng kasal. kasi siyempre lahat ginawa na nila, ultimo mamuhay bilang mag asawa but still hindi parin sila pinapakasalan ng lalake. ang sagot ng guy, nag iipon pa daw kasi.. pero sabi ng girl, matagal na ang pag iipon niyan!

ang advantage ng live in is .. free sex whenever you want it. aminin isa etong factor bakit you want to move in right away.

for live in couples, lets admit it marriage takes the backseat pag matagal na kayo nagsasama sa isang bubong. parang wala na something to look forward since magkasama na kayo everday.
true you can always get out of the situiation anytime but like married couples its not easy as it sounds.

i still believe marriage brings more solid commitment to a relationship.

^yup tama ka sis.. actually lesson learned ko iyon, mabuti na lang we didn't get married. good luck sakin ngayon... miserable siguro buhay namin ng anak ko.

Going to a college far from home. I have to live away from my family. So syempre I have the freedom to do whatever I want. Yung sakin hindi naman talaga moving in but I slept over at my bf's (now my ex) place almost everyday or if not siya naman sleeping over at my apartment, so basically in a way we live together na din. We cook together and eat together everyday. I think looking back I wish we did things differently because I think living together somehow contributed for our break up. I think naging routine na yung ginagawa namin everyday to the point na nawala na yung spark or excitement? Atleast for him coz he broke up with me saying that whenever he sees me, he doesnt get excited anymore. There came a point where he wasnt missing me anymore. Masakit marinig yun kasi ako kahit na naging routine na lahat, im still excited to see him. So  ayun, we broke up and now I feel so lost.

i dont think that moving in together is wrong siguro kung ang iniisip mo kapag you move in together e papakasalan ka na niya pero kung you just both decided to live in together so you can both see each other flaws, habits or attitude and to learn much more about your partner. for me hindi naman siya nakakababa nang standard you just don't want to settle for less kaya you try to observe each others behavior para malaman mo din na kung ok ba siya o hindi or magkakasundo ba kayo in case you decide to settle down..

i agree w/ you on this idea. maybe a lot of people will oppose because of the culture we Filipinos have yet this is something practical and so true. Even if you couples have been together for so long, even years or more, you won't know the real character and personality of the person till you get along under one roof. Remember, marriage is not just a piece of paper. it's a commitment for life so you got to be sure you want to grow old with the person. Because if you commit a mistake plunging to the marriage stage, you got to have a heart to weather the storm. if you aren't strong enough then that piece of paper you've signed when you got married binds you together big time!(much stronger than any adhesive on the market  ;D )

sabi nila guys are favorable on this idea, then blame it to the conservative culture, well if you will do the intimate part, it's not just the guy who enjoys the pleasure, right :) but look at the bigger picture....don't just look for the security and assurance....look how you can blend w/ the person. see if you'll make good music together even if, the thrill and fun is  gone. if after the fact you can say that you wanted to ink the paper to seal your marriage then so be it ;)

^I could not agree more.. btw my last reply here was a year ago.. hehe..

Also, another good thing of moving in together is, I learned how to be independent, I learned how to cook, magsaing (hindi rice cooker ha), maglaba, maglinis (I don't usually do these things kase sanay ako na may kasambahay).. grabe this really prepared me for the real thing and it was hard working with your indifferences.. :) well sad it didn't work out between us, I left him and plus may souvenir siya sa akin.. I am now a single mom.. I am still looking forward to spending my life with someone and I already know what to do..

Living together under the same roof is fun, at the same time, hard. In my case, dati punta lang sya palagi sa apartment ko since he has his own place naman. Then after some time, mas madalas na sya sa place ko kesa sa kanila. When I decided to look for a better apartment, he decided that he would have a cut on the bills. So hati na talaga kami so definitely he was moving in with me.

Most of the time, I tend to be dominant when it comes to house issues. It was hard din kasi mas madalas ang interaction and communication, mas napapadalas ang away. We haven't reached that part yet, as in yung for life set up, pero so far we don't have any plans na maghiwalay ng bahay. :)
