there was a time walang food sa house. i cant go out to do grocery for days since my daughter was sick. i asked hubby to drop by robinson's to get a pack of monterey sisig (the frozen one); that item only since I cannot rely on my husband to do the grocery (i want kasi binubusisi yung items). anyway, when he came home close to 2 pm, i immediately went to start cooking the sisig. yuck pag-open i was taken aback by that maasin smell. it was that foul that i ended up vomitting. we ended up eating lunch at 4pm after our delivery from mcdo came.

i never buy pre-sliced fruits, one exception are the Dole apples in the vacuum packs.

true never trust buy 1 take 1 promos in the supermarket / malls na food yung binebenta.

ako naman, we went to Robinsons  to stroll, nakita ko meron buy 1 take 1 promo yung cadbury chocolates nila.

under our consumer act, we can exchange products we purchased within 7 days, as long as my receipt.

sana nga mag-check ang DTI sa mga groceries, again sa WALTER MART-MUñOZ, I did my grocery just yesterday, may buy-1-take-1 ulit sila, mga hershey chocolates, i inspected for expiration day "JUL 2009" and its July na!  >:( >:( >:(

Dapat talaga maging mas discerning tayong mga consumers lalo na at we're spending our hard earned money. Kahit na sale or buy1-take1 we should still check other details like yung expiry date kasi baka mas mapamahal pa tayo in the long run. Lalo na ngayon na health is wealth. There's no substitute for quality products.

Thanks as well for the heads up sa mga products na na-try ninyo na. At least mas aware tayo ngayon na such things could also happen to us.

I'd like to share my experience naman sa supermarket, it's not about the product but sa rudeness ng mga tao.

Meron kasing demo booth ng Nido 3+ sa robinson's that day, and i approached the booth kasi gusto ko makita sana yung difference ng milk nila sa enfagrow, Im planning to switch na kasi yung milk ng son ko sincew he's 3+y/o na.

Aba, yung dalawang babaeng nandun (na naka lab gown pa) eh pinagtatawanan lang ako and they were exchanging funny looks, so I said can I see the nutrition information ng milk? And when I touched the milk box, sabi sa kin ma'am dun sa milk aisle may mga Nido rin dun, and sorry we don't do demos sa mga buntis.

Second, they didnt even ask me if I am pregnant (which I am not, I'm just overweight and looks preggy lang). And isa pa, they were acting lang they were shooing me away from the booth.

I also sent a letter of complaint to Nido thru nestle website and here's the reply:

Dear *****,

Thank you very much for bringing your concern to us.  On behalf of our NIDO team who is very concerned about this matter, please accept our sincerest apology.

There is really no excuse we can offer for the reported rude behavior of the concerned personnel of the agency which was contracted to conduct the NIDO 3+ demonstration activity. Upon receiving your email and after conducting a thorough investigation on the incident, we have reprimanded and issued a warning to the person and the agency concerned, and have directed the agency to immediately implement corrective measures to ensure that this incident does not happen again.  Among the measures the agency has committed to immediately undertake is to conduct of a refresher course for its personnel on the proper way of relating to consumers during demonstration activities and the strict monitoring of agency personnel behavior during said activities.

Again, we would like to thank you, *****, for bringing this up to our attention.   Feedback from valued consumers like you  presents an important opportunity for us to improve our products and services. Should you have further concerns, please do not hesitate to contact us again.

Warm regards,
Lace Roman

^ naku sis buti nalang nireklamo mo.

One time kasi konti lang binili ko na stuff since yung mga kulang lang sa lulutuin ko yung binili ko. I was next in line nung sinabi nung cashier sakin na lumipat ako ng ibang cashier since pasara na sya. So I have no choice but to transfer sa mas mahabang linya.

SS: "d ho powdered tea"

did my grocery shopping last month at sm supermarket. bought a couple of coke in bottles. i think they're the 2 liters.

when we opened them, they were stale na! we checked the expiry dates, and they're way before that pa. i guess it how they store their merchandise. baka naiinitan.

now i dont buy sodas at sm anymore.

a few weeks ago, hubby and i bought a tray of seedless grapes from SaveMore in Festival Mall. sinilip-silip ko pa yung ilalim ng tray (sealed with plastic wrap) kasi iniisip ko baka may sirang grapes underneath. turns out, that wasn't the problem...super-asim ng grapes! as tinry ni hubby ubusin kasi sayang nga, but he gave up din. we'll never buy the packed fruits under the SM Bonus brand again >:(
