- your target sales depends on your expenses: rent, electricity, supplies, salary etc...
- i have a 4-seater salon with 4 beauticians. yung dalawa bading, yung dalawa babae who also does mani/pedi. income depends on time of the year. may peak and may off-peak. each of them earns 7k-9k during off peak and 12k-15k during peak. sometimes higher pa. based yan sa commission nila, 50-50 for haircut, mani/pedi; 30% for major services and 40% pag rebonding - medyo malaki ako magbigay, kaso hindi ko na mabawi
- salon chair can range from 5k to 13k. you can visit MTN sa juan luna sa divisoria, supplier sila ng salon equipment

- magkano ang kita ng salon kpg off peak and peak monthly kung 4 seaters ang gagawin ko?
- how much din aabutin ang electricity and water consumption based sa expenses mo?you can PM me if u want since medyo confidential na [textspeak!] questions ko.
- magkano target mo everyday?since 4 seater din [textspeak!] gagawin ko I guess medyo similar ang quota natin.

hi sis abi! sorry late reply. how was your divi trip? nakahanap ka ba ng suppliers? to answer your questions:

sis i can't say for sure how much ang kikitain mo kase it depends sa location, services and of course sa pricing mo.

our monthly meralco bill is 15k-16k. we have one 2hp split type aircon sa barber shop and two 1.5hp split type aircon sa salon

monthly water bill mga 1000php - 1200php

- magkano target mo everyday?since 4 seater din

sis combined kase ang salon and barber shop ko. if weekday target ko is mag-average ng 5k/day. if weekend target ko is 11k. pero more often than not, below the target kami

- san ka kumukuha ng supplies na hair products?

afaik, iggypop is from cavite. been a lurker of this thread, i want my own nail spa but afraid ako sa laki ng investment for the design i want. ambisyosa much haha

pa join,,, sahre ko lang po experience namin ni hubby by putting up a Nail and dayspa business. 1 month na kami! so far so good. earnings? ok, as nagpapakilala palang na business. kung walang monthly rent (15k), electricity (5000), water (1000), Misc (2000), mas masaya.  we have 3 nail tech. all around sila, trained. from nails, face spa, eyelash extension and massage. 2 of the 4500 ang salary + 10% commission (dito sila bumabawi), and 100% tip. then [textspeak!] isa is 4000, baguhan pa pero trained na.
mahirap mag maintain ng tao,, pero ang like namin ni hubby, close parin kami sa kanila pero with limitations. dapat una palang ilalatag mo na sa kanila rules and regulations mo. ang kabilinbilinan namin sa kanila, be honest. kung ayaw na nila, mag sabi sila para makahanap kami ng bago, walang iwanan sa ere.

I'm running our salon business for 6 months now. So far so good naman. I would highly recommend to start this business on a peak season para pagdating ng lean months may pangtawid. =)

For peak season, I would suggest to have at least 5 staff: 3 hair stylists and 2 nail techs. For lean months, 2 stylists will be fine and you can keep your nail techs. Starting salary depends on the skill and location of your business. Better do research on your competition's salary range.

Hindi everyday maraming clients sa ganitong business. Kaya crucial ang hiring at customer service training sa staff para siguradong maraming returning customers at referrals.

Pinaka-challenging ang mag-maintain ng tao sa experience ko. Lalo na ang mga bading. They come and go sa ganitong industriya. So dapat masanay at be ready. Ingat din sa mga cash advances and as much as possible, ilatag ang lahat ng rules sa umpisa pa lang. Making it black and white with them is way better.

I just want to share that I'm going to franchise a nail salon and spa and place it at Waltermart.. 350,000 yung franchise pero parang 800-1.4M yung initial na capital na kailangan for everything. Pero in 8 months kasi yung 1 branch, nabawi na nia yun lahat. Medyo malaki lang talaga pero sa business naman talaga dapat magtake ka ng risk.. So, ayun nashare ko lang =)

I'm planning to start on my own home service massage business by last week of September. Need help sana please. This is what I have so far..

Things I'd need:

-therapists (sweldo nila is commision based, what's a good hatian?)
-towels/blankets
-oils (where can I go for my supplier? meron ba sa divi?
-scrubsuits (san din pwede mahanap to?)
-candles (id want this to be an option for my clients)
-cellphone (3 - yes, gusto ko lahat ng network)
-car (looking at the carry na van)

Also, would I need a business permit to run this?

My mom is a massage instructor at TESDA PALAWAN, My aunt and cousin were reflexology and massage instructor here in manila, so I'm planning to get her best students in Palawan incase I pushed thru,un nga lang kailangan ko mag rent ng space for them or yung magiging spa will have a staff quarter.

my nakita ako seminar sa trc/dost gov website regarding starting a spa biz if may interesado dito magseminar mag join forces tayo para makamura. 1375 kasi per head.

ALSO: cheapest suppliers are inside tabora and the one near Starbucks Binondo is far expensive.

3 of my cousins also work in a spa so the senior one showed me where her boss buy the products though hindi ko po marating mag isa kasi pasikot sikot.

I really love to start one in makati since home service spa is "delikado, mas risky as magastos in my opinon.

@twistedsunshine_ : Hire ka muna ng staff mo sis kasi major factor yan sa success ng homeservice massage. Better if they have the DOH & Tesda certificates na kasi isa yan sa requirements sa pagkuha ng business permit. Our pasahod is commission + monthly allowance. Free na apartment, housewater, gasul, drinking water, electricity and cable tv. Furnished na yung house nila, damit nalang nila dadalhin. They buy & cook their own food, may tip naman sila. The rest on your list is madali na bilhin basta you have the manpower na to start with. Pinakamahirap talaga sa business na to ang pagmaintain ng tao. Di maiwasan may aalis kasi na-pirate, may natatanggal kasi may ginawa na di maganda. Almost 2 years na kami and thank God, stable na employees ko now, more than a year na sila. Sumasakit pa rin ulo namin paminsan minsan pero manageable na unlike before. Discipline them early rin para alam ng staff sino dapat nasusunod. Yung ibang umalis, gustong bumalik, pero di ko na tinatanggap.
