Hi sisses! would want to solicit comments on "Kids Spa & salon" business. Yes, kids from 0-14years old get a massage, haircut and venue for spa parties. Also a place for the whole family, parents can tag along their kids for massage as a family bonding. Mom can also get a facial while her baby is getting a massage. it's either RN or underboard-nursing grads trained to be therapist yung masseuse. Intensive training kasi babies and kids ang ihahandle nila.

Me and my husband want to realize this goal soon through a franchise. But need feedbacks, thoughts and comments pls. High end yung target market and so critical yung location, dapat prime din. TIA!

Need ba talaga isurrender ng buyer all the vouchers that he/she availed para lang maconfirm ang appointment? Meaning, d pa nagagamit ng buyer yung voucher pero nasa owner na lahat. Ganun po ba talaga ang procedure?

Hi everyone,

We recently acquired a salon business and we're giving it a makeover. Sa dating owner, they only use local nail polish brands like Caronia and Bobbie. Some customers ask for Orly and China Glaze, so bumili ako ng ilang polish from the imported brands. Ang suggestion ng staff is to add a fee to the rate, if the customer wants to use Orly or CG polish. The fee is P50 for either hands/feet, P100 for both hands and feet.
Ang tanong ko lang, reasonable ba or should I just make a price increase? Ang rate namin ngayon for basic manicure is P80 and P110 for pedicure.

Hi!! I've been a lurker in this thread. Sadly, quiet dito for some time. I need help. Im eyeing this space for rent, 12,000 daw per month for my nail spa. It's a 50 to 60 sq m space that will open on january. So ok sana kasi i have time to plan and research and do trainings. Pero do you guys think reasonable ang 12k space rent?? O mahihirapan ako bumangon at makuha ang aking ROI? Thanks!!

^its in quezon city, Foot traffic is not much but it is beside an upcoming hospital, still under renovation. So i thought once naopen na yung hospital dadami ang foot traffic. It's along the highway so kita talaga ng mga dumadaan na mga sasakyan. Competition is very little din. I think there are only 3 visible salon/spa sa area. There's a condo on the other street, an exclusive subd nearby and church.

Hi sis Elize, i agree with sis amethyst na if you plan to open a salon, it would be best to have it on ber months. 12k is a really good price considering it's a big space na. I own kasi a nail salon and spa in Waltermart mall and my rent+electricity+water+ other charges is 41k for a 30sq. meters only. But it's all worth it kasi super daming tao lagi, kapag puno kami, they can roam around first then just get back na lang. it's also important na my parking space talaga.

Thanks for the heads up!! my problem kasi is, bago ang building/commercial area na pagtatayuan ko, nasa finishing pa sila so if dun ko itatayo, i have to wait talaga. And naisip ko since may itatayo ding hospital sa tabi niya, as in tabi niya talaga.. Dadami foot traffic once naopen na yung hospital. At yung isang street is sakayan ng jeep so i guess kahit papaano mapapansin siya ng mga tao.

Thanks at nalaman ko na di pala ibig sabihin na along the highway e benta sa mga tao. And january is not a good month to open a spa.  now i have to scout other possible areas.

^you're right. Specially about franchising. Ngayon halos lahat ng buiness pwede mo na ifranchise basta may puhunan ka. But it really doesnt end with having a name, minsan nasa kalidad talaga ng service na binibigay mo.

Question lang, so is it not good to open my nail spa on January?? Will i have to wait for the 2013 ber months pa??

Hi sis, I think that's just fine batsa maganda ang location. Like yung saamin is 15k a month.

yes sis, ok na yun. our rent for a 31sq.m in waltermart mall here in bulacan is 38k.. mas mahal kasi ang electricity and water charges sa mall..plus pa yung other fees..
