I am searching for a good therapy center that offers ABA therapy. my son's dev pedia said that he is within the autism spectrum pero she is giving us the benefit of the doubt since na baby ng husto ang son ko. she gave us 6 weeks to change his environment and start with therapy.

I called Shine pero wait list na daw sila. I've heard good things about that center kasi. Do you guys know any centers that offers ABA therapy? thanks in advance!

He recommended Canopy pero wala syang contact info. I called Therabilities pero ipipila raw kasi wala pang slot. Gusto ko sana kahit nag thetherapy na sya sa therapy center, gusto ko rin sana maghire ng home base na OT. TIA

Yes sis. Actually, pinapag hearing test muna sya then ABA therapy and then some changes sa house namin. Ano ba dapat mauna?

^ i wouldnt know sis kasi i havent seen your kid naman. baka you may want ABA na home based nalang.

The one who does the initial screening should ideally be the OT sa mga succeeding sessions or not necessarily? Tia

^ not all the time, mostly oo, pero better if siya din, at least nakapag establish na ng rapport with the kid and of course nakita niya first hand ang baseline skills ng bata

For those who have ongoing OT at nagsoschool din. How does your sched look like? Kasi my daughter now attends toddler class and she will have
2x a week OT. Morning ang class, naptime sa hapon. Dko alam kung kakayanin nya pa mag OT sa hapon.

^baliktad most of my kids sis, OT morning then tsaka na class.inaantok na kasi bata pag afternoon specially after lunch or siesta, or pagod from school. hirap talaga din kasi sa afternoon, nakakatamad na din for the child and sa maghahatid, most parents prefer morning nalang sa therapy.

actually may initial screening sya this week. mas preferred kasi namin for now ang center based training since di pa gawa yung playroom ng anak ko. wala din kasing space dito sa bahay now.

we're from caloocan sis. what do you do with 18month old kids? son ko kasi, hirap mapa-sit still. he will sit and listen to you pero after a minute or two, lakad ulit.

Ako currently i am handling (youngest) is 1.8 years old, or 20 months old. Sumunod is 25months old. Yun 25 months old homecare ko siya then meron din siyang therapy sa clinic

Sis sachism:Before, I worked as a school-based OT. Bale SPED yun school, so yun mga kids ko, they have OT sessions during their pull-outs except for acads time... Ideally, maganda sana if she can attend therapy after naptime. May kid ako (4, not a toddler, but you get the situation) attendling junior casa at OB, so he attends school ng morning, goes home for lunch and naps for an hour, and then i see him mid-afternoon. Re your question about screening, screening kasi means seeing if the child really needs OT services. Kasi there are times the doctors refer kids to us for OT, but, yun pala, hindi naman din kelangan. Now if the doctors send you for OT for evaluation, more or less, wala ng screening kasi evaluation na nga. OTs are bound by the profession's law to follow doctor's order. Only an OT, licensed one at that, can eval your kid.

So I need to know pala kung screening or eval ang order ng devped nya? Most likely eval I will check out Core and Possibility Weavers on Monday.

^Most probably sis evaluation. Mga doctor's referrals sakin may 1 out of 10 lang ang screening . Hehe
Saan ba ang area mo ulit? I can suggest saan centers

Yun mga ng PM sakin ng OT and ST. I am working on those, don't worry. It's just that most therapists wouldn't go for home lalo if malayo sa kanila (transpo time included). syempre as much as possible gusto ko yun kilala ko, para di naman ako mapahiya sa referral ko diba?

I'm not sure if this is the right thread to post/ask about this but feel free to

I have a teenager with bed wetting problem, she does this everyday. I need
help as to where I should bring her for consultation/therapy. I've read
somewhere that the cause might be emotional stress.  Our relationship is
being affected by this problem.

I'm new here. i have a 2. 8 year old daughter feeling ko may speech delay cya kasi spa cya masyado nakakabuo ng sentence peru pag may tinuro ka sa knya na word sinasabi naman nina she can count tapes identify pictures maraming words na din nasasabi. pero hirap cya mag combine ng words. pero minsan nagagawa naman niya, I'm confused tuloy. feeling ko minsan I'm a failed mom i don't know if i should look for a speech therapist. help naman po
