^ welcome sis! dami kong childhood memories nung 90s, nakakamiss :)

Grabe crush ko din noon si Nick Carter tapos natsismis pa na babae daw sya haha.. tapos bakla daw si Geri Halliwell ng Spice Girls, lol.

At since hindi pa downloadable ang songs noon, uso ang magrecord ng kanta sa blank tape. Gawain ko mag-aabang ako ng songs sa radio tapos irerecord ko, then bago magsalita yung DJ stop ko na haha.
Kaya naging avid listener ako ng RX 93.1 kasi tinatapos nila yung kanta, unlike sa LS and other stations, epal lang ng DJ haha.. usong uso ang countdowns noon, lalo na yung kay Triggermann.. sa RX naman, yung Daily Survey at Yearend Countdown ni Louie D.
Hindi na masyadong booming ang radio ngayon since may Youtube na. Maski MTV.

Uso ang mga CD compilations like Cruisin, Contagion, New Wave, etc. At ang mamahal pa hehe. Namiss ko yung component namin, pataasan pa ng watts noon haha.

Yung ate ko natuto maggitara, favorite nya yung Bring Me Down ng Rivermaya, Father and Son saka Line To Heaven. Lol.

@euwie, oo uso noon yung bass, alam mo yung So So Def? meron kaming tape nun hehe..

At dahil walang internet para sa song lyrics, uso ang songhits. Regular akong bumibili ng Smash! songhits, may special edition pa ako nung Eraserheads at Introvoys.

Haay those were the days.. when life was very simple. Nakakamiss. :)

90's Pop Music! Sobrang adik lang sa pop songs ng boybands! Pati girl singers like Britney, Christina Aguilera etc. Tuwing Christmas Party, sasayawin yun sa klase! Hahaha.

Collection pa ang cassette tapes na naalala ko noon ay P100-150 ang benta. Talo pa ang presyo ng panood sa sine! Hahaha. Kaya tama, gaya niyo, record nalang sa blank tape sa radio.   ;D

Grabe din ang Pinoy bands - yung Huling El Bimbo na kulang nalang maging National Anthem na. At yung mga pausong steps ng group dancers like Streetboys and Maneuvers! Classic!  8)

Nakakatuwa naman magbasa dito. naalala ko tuloy mga ginagawa ko din dati hahha!

- yung magrecord sa tape galing sa radio, tas naasar pa ako pag nahaluan ng jingle ng radio or boses ng dj hahha kasi hindi ko naistop agad.
- bumili ng pirated cds ng compilation like yung Lost and Found, Chorus Girls, Cruisin, etc. Ang mahal parang 250 yata ang isang CD hehe
- Kunin ang lahat ng song titles ng kanta at go ka sa Raon, para magparecord sa tape.
- Nung nauso ang CD ang una kong binili eh Fra Lippo Lippi at Backstreet boys. Then feeling mayaman na nung nagkaCD player. Level up from Walkman! hehe
- Songhits and magazines din! Wala pa kasing internet eh hehhe.
- Tapos mga posters ng BSB, streetboys, NSYNC and Britney Spears hahaa!
- OPMs are the best during 90s. Introvoys, Neocolors, Eheads, True Faith, RiverMaya, and a lot more!
- Natry ko din tumawag sa Radio nung nagkaphone kami. That time ang hirap hirap mag apply sa PLDT kaya nung kinabitan kami isa yon sa pangarap namen ang makatawag sa radio hahah! Magrerequest ng kanta, greet and all.
- and yes, Disco pa ang tawag before, Fat willy's, Abg's, common ground, Insomnia, Mars and lahat ng R&B and Hiphop music na pinapatugtog. Kaya ngayon favourite ko any Magic 899 pag Saturday because of these songs that bring back our clubbing memories nung High School. Bone Thugs, TLC, JLo, TQ, Jarule, etc.
- ^ I remember Grin Dept at Urban Flow, medyo jologs pero ang sayang pakinggan haha!

And ang fave album ko dati is yung MTV Soul'd Out with Too Close. :)

Tapos meron din ako nung album ng AngTV. And of course, 98 degrees, BSB, N Sync, Spice Girls, Hanson. Hay ang tanda ko na. ;D

kids today will never get to experience rewinding a casette using a pen/lapis tapos para hindi maaksidenteng mapatungan yung ginawang mixtape, tatapyasin yung dalawang butas sa taas ng casette. At pag trip i-reuse ang casette, you just need to ipit a piece of papel on the butas.... shucks  :P

90's is the last era that we had real good opm songs...

This thread makes one feel nostalgia to the highest lovel!

- Yun pagre-record ng songs from radio stations. Super bad trip pag may humabol na ad or nagsalita ang DJ. LOL
- MTV Asia was famous then. Teens could practically watched it 24/7. Lahat na ata ng countdowns nalista ko nun.
- Boybands' members then were manly. Si Nick Carter lang ang payat na super sikat. LOL
- I'm reminded of the never-ending Hanson vs. Moffats rivalry. hehe
- Best of OPM Bands: Eheard, Rivermaya, Afterimage, Yano, TrueFaith, Neocolors, Introvoys etc.
- Best of Girl Groups: Literal na girl power! Spice, All Saints, Atomic Kitten, The Braxtons, etc.
- The Queen then was Britney Spears. Christina A might have beaten Britney vocally but iba si Britney. She's a performer, at susme ang daming nag-ala Britney outfit nun.
- True, super sikat ang 'disco' songs nun. Lick It, Ragga Muffin Girl (?), Mr. Bombastic etc. LOL Panahon ng dance groups, Streetboys, Maneuvers, UMD.
- Time of Nirvana, Alanis, Third Eye Blind, Bush, Cranberries etc.
- Amen to songhits!  ;D

Susko, ang gastos pala natin nun! Effort kung effort sa paghahanap ng copy ng songs!

ay grabe ang gaganda talaga ng mga kanta noon. Lalo na yung mga lovesongs, tagos hanggang sa puso! nyahaha.
Hanggang ngayon gusto ko pa rin ng mga kanta ng Backstreet boys, Boys II Men, 98°, E-heads at iba pa. Ang iba ay nasa playlists ko pa. hehe

True. A lot of the songs on my playlist are from the 90's - Nirvana, Metallica, U2, and the boy bands. It brings me back to those times that passing my chemistry test and major problem ko. ;D

come to think about it, halos walang baduy na kanta nung mga panahong yun..it's like every song of any artist for every genre that existed that comes on the radio every single time sounds pleasing to the ears. And anyone who tunes in can relate kasi they all make sense - OPM man or foreign.

^ I agree. Ewan ko ba, naiinis ako ngayon kay Daniel Padilla, puro magagandang songs ang nirerevive niya ngayon (Prinsesa, Ako'y Iyo (something) and Hinahanap hanap kita).

Then recently nirevive nya rin yung Nothing's gonna stop us now for their movie Crazy Beautiful You. Inis na inis din ako. Pero I realized, going back, bakit di ako nainis kay Angelu at Bobby when they revived It Might Be You? lol!

^kasi ang mga love teams noon talagang swak sa isa't isa. Yung mga nabibigyan ng recording contract yung may talent tlaga magsulat at kumanta, kahit yung mga artista mga galing sa teatro - hindi tulad ngayon na basta na lang ipa-package dahil lang sa may itsura pero hindi naman marunong umarte o kumanta. Ang OPM ngayon puro na lang pa-kyut at malayong malayo sa henerasyon noon.

Dahil depressed ang madaming 1D fans, this reminds me of the time when Geri Halliwell left Spice Girls in 1998.  :( Super na-sad ako nun. Pero natuwa ako sa single nya nun "Look At Me." Somehow nawala yun kinang nila nun nawala na si Geri.

Hindi ko alam kung mahihiya o matatawa ba ako na tumatawag ako dati sa radio stations to request a song. Tapos ang hirap maka-contact so "flash" "redial" salitan na pindot ang ginagawa ko sa phone. Tapos hindi din panapatugtog yung request ko. ;D

Maganda pa music during that time. The bands, solo artists, etc. Ngayon, ewan ko na. O tumatanda na talaga ako at hindi ko masyado ma-appreciate ang mga kanta ngayon. ;D
