sis mei-mei, I understand your situation, it is quite similar with what I'm going through now. I am married now. I bought a new house when I was still single, my bf and I used our savings for the downpayment, yung monthly halos ako lang nagbabayad. My mother was not able to invest a house kasi nga byuda sya and have worked abroad. When I bought the house of course she was very excited. Lahat na lang sya ang dedecision.... kelan ako pwedeng maglaba, kelan ako tatanggap ng bisita at kung sino ang pupunta. Tapos, when we had our misunderstanding, pinapalayas nya kaming mag asawa. She said me karapatan sya dun dahil kung hinde sa kanya, hinde ako makakapag aral, makakatapos at makakahanap ng magandang trabaho para mabili yun. We have heated argument to the point that I answered back that she has to be grateful that I've been a good child to her but as a parent, she should not oblige her children to payback. I am not a parent yet but this "payback" thing, it never crossed my mind that I will expect anything from my future children.
^ i agree sis...pero iigsi talaga buhay ko sa ginagawa ng nanay ko sa kin.....
