hi sis lysa thanks for the inputs......btw ask ko sana ilang months ang preparation na ginawa mo para makapag set up ka?magkano ba ang tamang capital para dito? thanks in advance sa reply.

It really depends sa pwesto nyo. Kase yung travel agency namin nag pa renovate pa kme ng buong area tapos medyo mahal din magpalagay ng stickers and signages. Medyo magastos din ang payment for permits and other materials. I started preparing last February lang attending seminars and nag start mag renovate ang office.

Siguro total naka P500K kame kase medyo maarte yung mom ko so madami syang pinaayos :)  Pero kung maliit lang ang capital just make use of what you have at home na mga gamit :) Pinaka kailngan mo lang naman is fax machine, PC and a fast DSL :)

Mga sis just saw your posts, I just opened my Travel Agency here in BF Resort Las Pinas.

Make sure na credible agencies yun kase kayo mapapahiya sa clients nyo in the future.

Kung wala kayong capital muna I suggest start small muna at home, advertise with your friends or offer to help them find good rates for their travels.

Pero if you have a good location with reasonable price of rent I suggest setting up an office. Madaming nag wawalk in at syempre yung iba they prefer to see an actual travel agency office for their transactions.

If you have any questions I am more than happy to help :) Pero for the rest pa back read naman kase andun na yung mga sagot :)

sis, home-based yung travel agency mo?

mga sis, if home-based ba, need pa kaya ng business permit?

Madaming nag o offer ng cheap seminars tungkol sa travel agency, pero later on you'll find out na it's a networking pala.

Hi sis! Ill be opening my travel agency soon... on going na ang renovation ng place and im working on the permits na rin. What do you think? Thanks! :)

Sis depends kase sa budget mo. Mas mabilis ang system with Abacus but you still have to ask your IATA supplier regarding their price na ibibigay mo sayo before mo masagot [textspeak!] client mo :)

And Preferred Sales Agent na ako ng Cebu Pac kaya i have my own system for that so kahit walang amadeus ok na ako :)

hmmm...typical example:

we have a client na nagcacanvass ng tiket papuntang Vietnam this coming month. i gave her 15k+ round trip airfare, she asked two agencies in Manila and one agency in Los Banos, same day na binigyan ko sya ng quotation, actually ako pa yung pinakahuli nyang hiningan ng quotataion...  sa akin din sya nagpatiket sa huli kase cheaper daw yung rate namin.  :P

goodluck to all! :)

Thanks sa info sis..yan kasi ang dilemma ko kung papakabit ba ako agad or not... pero i think papakabit na nga ako... btw.. magkano ba ang service fee ng iata mo? para lang malaman ko kung mura na ba yung nakukuha ko na supplier or not. hope you could help me.. salamat!

@lysa: Sis, will send you a PM regarding sa set-up natin kung gawin kita supplier for Cebupac ok lang?

Another thing pala... nagbayad ka rin ba ng surety bond sa cityhall ng pque? sa Manila kasi they are asking me for a cashbond of 500K.

Madali lang yun just pay sa cashier then may form na pipirmahan then bibigyan ka na ng certificate of being a ship broker :)

goodluck to all of us!
