MIKELLY -- to put it in context --  the clinical definition of "OC" is different from the way we loosely termed/used the "OC label" here to describe some of our quirkiness or uncommon (but not abnormal) standards.

Some people who are "close-minded" are not OC; but the real clinical-case OCs are generally close-minded kaya nga daw hard to treat.   :)

i think OC get irritated so easily lalo na pag di nasunod yung gusto, yung expectations or rules natin sa work man or sa house... ;)

btw yesterday may duty kami and i've meet a super OC CI, ayaw niya kami palapitin sa kanya after our duty hanggat hindi kami naghahandwashing as in,though ako talaga before and after nung duty namin naghahandwashing ako...nakakatawa lang pag nakikita mo yung sarili mo sa iba, ;)

sa sobrang OC kasi niya, hindi siya tumitigil kakaikot sa bahay esp. pag may nakikita siyang hindi organized since my kid siyang kasama at home.  Gusto kasi niya lahat organized though sometimes hindi talaga maiiwasan.  Also, she's been close-minded because no matter how many times namin siyang pagsabihan to rest or relax, she will not listen because hindi talaga niya matiis na hindi mag-ayos or maglinis ng house.

meron akong kakilala lalake OC din sa house.

He ot married last year ang nakakawa siya pa rin ang nagliligpit ng bahay nila kahit na me asawa na siya.

minsan nagrereklamo sa kin yung girl kasi sabi niya he never let her clean up the house since they stayed together.

told the girl that  she's lucky for having a husband who's cleaning up the house. tee hee!!!!!

lam mo sis mahirap mag adjust sa taong OC then yung partner mo hindi, like me and my hubby before, lage namin pinag aawayan yung mga simpleng bagay para sa kanya but for me hindi yun simple...

one time i saw his CP,wallet and watch sa ibabaw ng TV,eh ilang beses ko ng sinabihan na wag maglagay ng kahit anong gamit kung saan saan lalong lalo na sa TV,sa inis ko tinapon ko sa basurahan ng room namin, syempre gabi yun, before kami matulog hanap siya ng hanap di ako nagsasalita, alam niyang ako nagtago, kaya tinawagan niya phone niya, biglang nag ring sa may basurahan, nyahahaha sabi ko next time hindi ko dyan itatapon,sa labas na ng bahay, ayun naging leksyon sa kanya.. ;)

I bring my old clothes and things sa bahay ng parents ko while my husband brings his old stuffs sa house namin..eh we're just renting the house lang naman.

I'm not uber OC naman, basta before I go to bed kelangan maayos ang kama yung tipong aayusin ko muna ang bed sheet bago ako humiga.

Kitchen utensils namin kung saan ko nilagay dun lang dapat, kaya kapag nakita kong naiba ibabalik ko sa dating pwesto.

I want my clothes to be properly folded kahit pang-bahay lang sya, may sariling way kasi ako ng pag-fold.

yung mga hanger gusto ko naka-arrange according to color.

glad I found this thread. Super backread talaga ako and I learned a lot of tips with being a homemaker. Between me and my husband, ako ang OC, at least whenever he's around, 'cause I take care of his kalat. Makalat siya minsan and I can't help it. Or kahit naman ako, I have days that I just feel lazy to do anything.

One thing I'm sure of though, super OC ako pagdating sa clothes, I don't like wrinkled shirts or pants, and everything is organized as to formal, casual or everyday wear, by color, by sleeves, by length and different color ng hangers pa ;) so it won't get mixed up with other clothes. And I don't mind spending time steaming clothes just to get rid of kusot. Hindi talaga ako mapakali ;D

ay naku sis, i can relate about all the gusot. it just bugs me so much. i end up having it ironed again and again and i think i have spent so much on electricity na. i dont know if its my maid or my iron. we use a washing machine with spin dry and i use loads of fabric conditioner na (downy) but still the tinsy-winsy gusots are so hard to remove via ordinary ironing. so frustrating! i have even used that Glide product where you spray on clothes for easier ironing - but still the same problem.  ::) ::) ::)

sis, where did you buy your steamer? i found one at ansons but i find it expensive at 15k. any alternative for home use lang ...

^gusot pala not kusot.. :D

I have a personal steamer, maliit lang siya, just got it for 3,500 ($79) here in Hancocks, ang mahal naman ng 15K for a steamer. Anyway, I wash and dry my clothes, delicate cycle lang lagi, so less gusot, at pag meron pa talaga, steam ko siya before I hang them. You can buy flat iron na steamer at  the same time, I just don't know how much it is.

I have learned a lot with aquacharly.. hat's off to you sis!

SILVERONFIRE  thank you too, for giving me the opportunity to be of help.  By nature kasi, I am not a madamot person.  Eh pano ko ba nalaman lahat ito?  I was born messy, definitely hindi naman ako genius -- madami ako natutunan kasi other people shared their knowledge and experiences with me.   (Some people kasi, pag nag advise ka eh nagagalit or they think you are putting them down.)

Yes, before the kids arrive, it is good to establish the tone of your lifestyle.  Remember ha -- you must spend only minimum time on house and house management.  The bulk of your time should be spent on what brings you more joy -- time spent with husband, kids, career -- even reading a book lang.   All these organizing activities' objective is to give us more time for what is important to us, and also -- so that our family enjoys the lifestyle we choose for ourselves.

Rules are just rules -- you can adjust these now and then -- to better fit your lifestyle.  No one's rules are better than anybody's remember that -- but we can consider what others do as a guide to what we do.

Tama ka -- "nice and neat" when he is around.  But remember too, kelangan everything looks effortless (do not make dada, do not do your chores) when he is around.  Also, if you are organized --  you can perpetuate the illusion that men are suckers for -- that he is the center of your universe.  LOL, but true.

Somewhere along the way, because he is convinced (though he may not admit verbally) that you are managing your home well -- madali na lang when it is his turn to be organized.  He will "drop" easily -- kasi he is already "sold" onto the lifestyle you are perpetuating.

I wish you all the best with your new life.
God bless.

sis acquarly , i salute you , talagang lahat ng post mo binabasa ko.... i look forward for more of your post, parang gusto ko na din tanong what's in your bag? kung papaano ito kaorganize.... lahat actually  gusto ko tanungin when it comes sa organization.
more power and thanks sa help and tips mo =)

Scary ... scorpion.  Hanapin mo ang partner or family, meron pa yan for sure.

Hindi kaya, QUENNA eh centipede lang yon?  Even that is scary -- naka encounter ako nyan sa resthouse namin noon sa Laguna. Dropped from the ceiling.   Gigil na gigil ang mommy ko coz we all did not want to sleep in that 1 room for the longest time.  :)
