WiFi Router

May prob yata yung router namin, kasi, kahit naka-ON yung router and the main PC minsan madalas bigla na lang mawawalan ng signal. I doubt it it's normal. Anyone who experienced the same thing? Paano i-troubleshoot?

share ko lang yung sinabi sakin nung staff ng PC EXPRESS sa market! market! last wednesday night..

ang router daw talaga nag hahati lang ng connection between 2 or more PCs or lappy.. it depends parin daw sa internet provider natin ang connectivity.

may effect din daw yung location natin. if it's open area maganda ang connection. then kung madaming walls, other equipment like TV, Radio etc maapektuhan daw talaga ang signal..

btw, i am planning to get ASUS router okay naman daw ito.. saka malapit kami sa service center ng Asus hehe

nakabili na kami ng router, it's 2.5k linksys by cisco wireless G

sis sabi nun napagtanungan ko sa Villman, yugn Linksys daw kasi namimili ng provider which is globe daw. na-experience na daw nila yun sa store nila. maganda daw ang linksys kasi from Cisco saka kilala pero mas recommended daw nila yung D-Link.. dunno if it's true..

Using DLink here at home and ok naman siya. Paminsan-minsan nawawala ang connection kapag more than 24 hours ng on.

same here. ginagawa ko re-set ko lang [textspeak!] switch ng router let's say 10 sec. tapos on uli. ok na siya balik na ang connection.

soy for my ignorance but how does wifi router works if you have your internet connection at home? Thanks

wifi router allows you to setup a wireless network at home. with a wireless network, you can share your internet connection to all the PCs (or any wifi capable gadget like PSP, ipod touch, wifi-enabled phone, wii, PS3, etc) connected to the network and thus, allows multiple users browsing the internet at the same time. You can even share files or a printer with the other computers attached to the network.

Patanong naman po....yung netbook ko may nade-detect na mga wifi around the neighborhood although secured siyempre...ito po ba yon? Meaning, they have installed wifi routers at home? Secured siya ng password diba para not anybody can connect, tama po ba?

Kasi parang weird naka-laptop nga ako pero nakatali naman ako sa linya ng dsl ko,wala din...gusto ko sana pwede ako sa bedroom although nasa den yung modem...ito po ba yung use nung router

^ yup that's right sis. You can access the internet from anywhere in the house as long as the signal can reach you.

mine is linksys cisco wireless G, and im using pldt dsl, okay naman sya maganda un signal stable.
