hi mga sisses! pwede po mag ask..neighbors po kc kami ng sis in law ko..mga 20 steps away...sya po ang may landline..gusto namin mag share ng dsl bayantel..mag work po kaya ang wireless router? or better to set up a cabled one? saka kailangan pa bang i paalam sa isp yun? baka kasi kailangan pa ng code or any assistance from them sa pag set up at mahirapan lang kami..

one question pa po..pag po ba naka dsl ka, pwede naman gamitin sa dial up yung telephone line? i mean pwede ba sabay? naka dsl ka at the same time gagamitin mo yung landline, like pang outside line..or pang dial up...curious lang po, pasensya na sa kababawan ng tanung hehe

pwede naman kayo siguro mag share... kaso baka yung nasa kabilang bahay mahina na yung signal... pag di kaya ng wifi... connect ka na lang through cable... yung mga wifi routers typically 4 ports yun so pwede apat na cabled connections.

no need to inform bayantel, they wont help you set that up anyway... yung mga routers eh plug and play naman sila, i set up mine out from the box in less than 5 mins... although pag napagana mo na dont forget to setup a password... baka maki wifi mga kapitbahay ninyo hehe... gawain ko ito dati hehe

you can always use the telephone kahit naka on yung dsl mo... pwedeng pwede ka mag dial up...

bamzki: yep it could work depende sa lakas ng wifi router. may mga routers na up to 20 meters lang ang kaya ng signal meron din naman farther than that. although mga physical obstructions like walls, trees can reduce this range further. try nyo muna na ilagay yung wifi router nearest your house. pag mahina na talaga saka kayo gumamit ng cable. ang haba din ng cable na yun ah =)
no need to inform your isp.
and theoretically, pwede mo pa din gamitin yung phone as dial-up kasabay ng dsl. pero bakit mo naman gagawin yun?

may wifi router ako. tanong ko lang if mas maganda ba na nakataas ang router or nasa baba lang. same lang ba yon? nasa floor kasi router ko. may wall kasi kaya pag nasa labas ako ng house tapos sarado yun door ng room 2bars lang sagap ko.

hello mga sis, musta?

mag travel kami ng entire family ko sa cebu tomorrow till march 9 kaso i still have to work (online job). tapos dadalhin ko na lang din ang wifi router ko para at least maki share na lang ako sa internet connection ng tita ko. my question is, mag apply ba yung password na ginamit ko sa router if gagamitng ko na xia sa ibang place? xenxia na po sa tanong, i just want to make sure na hindi ako magka problema sa work ko.

sa amin hindi naman mataas, elevated lang, okay naman

sa SIL ko naman, nasa baba yung router, as in tabi ng CPU, pah nakikigamit ako nasa second floor naman ako, mabilis naman

I'm using LINKSYS wireless - G...
I've been using this for more than a year na and so far so good naman, I don't have any problems pa with my connections or whatsoever.

I have also Airport Express Base Station router (APPLE) that I'm not using, it can reach 150 feet away... pang campus sya.

ok ang linksys wireless g router. my husband bought it for me P2400 nung december. linksys online support helped me in setting it up.

^yup, ok nga din daw ang belkin routers sabi ng friend ko.. that's what they use daw in their office...

i changed my router already.. i'm now using linksys compact wireless G router..
i had problems with the old model i was using before (dell brand). this time around with linksys, i don't get disconnected.. and i like it because it's compact, space-saver!
