^Passport should do. But I don't think they require that kasi nung ininvite ko nanay ko, I didn't need tp provide my citizenship status. Ang mahalaga lang sa government ay malinaw kung ano ang purpose at saan manggagaling ang funds para gastusin while in Canada.

mga sis , mas mahirap ba makakuha ng tourist visa either canada or US kung idedeclare mong  isa kang employed nurse dito sa Pilipinas? may mga naririnig kasi ko na nurse ka pagdududahan ka agad na ang purpose ng trip mo ay humanap ng trabaho don. kaya sabi sa kin wag ko daw i declare na nurse ako kaso paano naman yun. i dont have any plans of overstaying there.
 i have enough funds sa bank ko and I have my own house and car kaso sa ITR ko talagang mababa lang kasi nga nurse lang naman ako dito. ok lang kaya yun.

sis dizzylizzie, as long as you can prove that you will come back and you wouldn't be staying there to look for jobs.. important din if you have strong family ties, will someone be inviting you in Canada?
If you will be invited by someone, its really a must to provide the embassy valid facts that you have strong ties in Phils. or wherever country you maybe.  If your purpose is travel and tourism, you have to prepare also at least a tangible and plans of your travel like Itinerary. I think its ok to declare that you are a nurse as long as you have a valid proof and strong ties to come back.

I've read everything on this forum, pero parang walang similar sa case ko.

I am almost 33 years old. My husband and I got married last January 12, 2012 lang. He's a Canadian permanent resident and he went back to Edmonton 2 weeks after our wedding.

He's a civil engineer and he's capable of sponsoring me para makapunta dun as PR din. But then I'm not yet ready to leave the Philippines for good. Aside from the fact na di ko pa maiwan ang parents ko (I'm an only girl in the brood of two), my brother and I are managing our businesses.

So yun, I am applying to have a multiple entry visa so I could just visit him whenever our schedule permits. Lalo na that we are trying to conceive din kasi we are not getting any younger.

I was confident at first kasi feeling ko the visa officer would think naman na di ako magt-TNT sa Canada since pwede naman akong maging PR legally through my husband (and in less than a year, for sure makakasunod na ako dun). Pero may friend ako na visa officer sa NZ Embassy who mentioned that my having a husband who's a PR may be taken against me. Kasi baka hindi na ako umuwi. So yun, bigla akong nag-worry. Pero kung magiging objective ang consul, di rin naman ako makakapag-apply sa Canada ng PR kung tourist visa lang ako so I will really go back to the Philippines.

May alam po ba kayong similar ang case sa akin? Thanks so much!

^I don't see any reason for declining your application. Hindi sila paranoid kung sino magiging TNT or hindi. Ang importante lang sa kanila ay kung may legitimate reason kung bakit ka pupunta and that you can support yourself while you are here.

^ Kung magiging objective ang visa officer, wala naman talagang rason para i-deny niya ako. Kaso di ba minsan depende rin sa moods nila. Kaya nga suwertihan din ang pagkuha ng visa.

Hay sana nga mabigyan ako. Bumaba kasi ang confidence level ko dahil nga sa sinabi ng friend ko na pwedeng i-take against me ang pagkakaroon ng asawang PR. Kasi though malakas ang ties ko sa Pinas, malakas din ang ties ko sa Canada kasi nga nandun na ang asawa ko.

Pero ang mga tourist visa holders are not allowed to apply for PR naman when they're in Canada. So talagang may rason akong bumalik sa Pinas. Pero basta, nakaka-praning pala mag-apply!

^same situation sis. got married march 30, husband naman is based in toronto (PR also). hindi pa rin ako ready. did consider applying for a tourist visa rin, pero eventually, husband decided to sponsor me nalang para mas madali. i can go back here naman anytime.

Hi, safe ba na mag submit ng original documents like Land title, car registration and passbook?
Diba pick up ng courier ang application(with all the requirements) then courier din ang magbabalik lahat?
Kasi stated sa website nila na original docs dapat i submit.. worried lang ako baka mawala docs..

^ Safe naman daw. May special arrangements talaga ang embassy sa courier para sa safety ng mga documents.

sis lululemon I just submit certified true copy nun Land Title, passbook hindi ako nagbigay ng copy ang pinadala ko 6 mos statement nun bank account, car registration photocopy lang din. Pero kung wala talaga choice kaylangan ipadala, safe naman bumabalik yung mga documents kase sealed envelope yung bumalik sa amin.

Parehas pala tayo. Pero di ko pa kasi kaya sis na umalis talaga. Pag naging PR kasi ako, may certain time na kailangan akong maglagi dun. I do not have that time dahil nga sa business. I also plan to give birth here kung sakaling maging pregnant ako. Ang usapan namin ng husband ko, susunod ako talaga dun after 5 years pa. Hay!

^nahihirapan na din kase ako ldr sis. siguro naman makakakuha ka agad ng tourist visa sis, maiisip naman siguro nila na kung talagang gusto mo magstay dun ng matagal, e d sana nagpasponsor ka nalang kay hubby since its easier that way di ba. at saka may business ka naman here. goodluck sis!

Foster parents ng cousin ko sa Canada ang magpprovide ng letter of invitation saka yung mga documents na they will sponsor my stay there as a tourist..

^ Sa tingin ko sis, magiging "high risk" ka sa tingin ng visa officer. Aside from you being a nurse, parang maku-question kung bakit foster parents ng cousin mo ang mag-sponsor sayo.

Bale kasi aunt sya ng second degree cousin ko.. so pwede naman siguro sabihing aunt ko din sya?

^ Di mo made-deny sis na nurse o nag-nursing course ka kasi may tanong sa application na highest post-secondary education. Unless nag-master's ka ng ibang course?

I guess you can always lie and say na aunt mo talaga siya. Pero ako I wouldn't dare lie sa Canadian Embassy. Ang sabi nga sa mga forum na nabasa ko, the Canadian government has a way of knowing. They could always investigate kung gugustuhin nila. If you are planning to migrate to Canada someday, lahat ng dapat isa-submit mong documents ngayon ay tama at totoo kasi baka magka-problema ka sa PR application mo someday. Let's remember na may database sila at di natin made-deny ang mga previous declarations natin sa kanila.

I guess wala naman masama kung di mo talaga aunt yung mag-sponsor sayo. Yung iba nga mga kaibigan lang ang sponsor eh. Dapat lang ma-establish mo kung ano ang purpose ng visit mo sa Canada at kung may enough personal funds ka to do that. Hindi sufficient na may sponsor ka. Dapat may personal money at assets ka rin na mapapakita.

hi mga sis, ano kaya chances ko of getting a tourist visa to canada? I am 25 turning 26 this june and single. I work as a junior officer sa isang government bank earning around 40k+ monthly, gross. I don't have properties yet because I spend my money traveling around Pinas and nearby asian countries. I have been to HK, macau, bangkok, vietnam pa lang and by the end of this year plus SG, Malaysia and Shanghai.

I have no relatives there. I just wanna see the Niagara falls and kung ano pang pwede makita in about 5 days lang siguro. Mga how much kaya magagastos ko pag ganun? I don't mind staying in hostels kung meron ganun dun.

^based sa experience niyo, how long ang waiting time niyo bago lumabas yung Canda Tourist Visa?, in most cases 2 weeks or less lang ba eto? Or may mga cases din na tumagal more than 2 weeks...ang sabi kasi sa akin usually exactly 10 working days daw..unless loaded yung embassy.

Yung sa website kasi 10-15 working days pero siyempre standard lang eto, di actual experience..

Medyo nahuli kasi ako nag file. Dapat dumating yung visa ko in 12 working days or less if not maiiwan ako sa Canada trip

So dunno if loaded yung embassy ngayon
