Hello gurls.
I'm glad I was able to find this forum about TRV.
May question lang po sana ako. Ininvite po kasi ako at ang younger sister ko, 15y/o, ng employer ng mama namin sa canada. Btw, I'm already 24 and working part-time only.Caregiver po si mama sa canada. Yung employer ni mama, parang medyo hesitant na magbigay ng Certificate of Employer, di pala medyo, hesitant talaga. Hehe. Kasi invasion of privacy ek ek daw.So ang pinadala lang po niya, invitation letter, scanned copy of her passport and birth certificate (na itsurang ID). Okay lang po ba na si mama na lang ang magprovide ng proof na may pera siya to support us sa pag visit namin sa canada, kahit hindi naman po siya yung nag-invite samin? and kahit nakalagay sa letter nung nag-invite samin na all expenses ay icocover niya? I think sa isang tao lang dapat manggagaling yung invitation and yung proof.

I just want to ask if pwede na ba ipada yung package sa embassy mismo or kailangan pang tumawag dun sa call center nila to make an appointment for pick up? and it's our first time to apply for a canadian visa and my mom is planning to visit her friend. is it better to put her friend's name on the application or huwag na lang? tia

Hindi nga user-friendly yung site nila. Na-miss ko pa yung 2 additional forms exclusive for Filipino applicants. Buti na lang sinabi sakin nung tumawag na ko for pick-up. Madami sigurong nakaka-miss.

strict ba sila sa paper size ng application forms? mag print na sana ako di ko sure kung anong size ng paper gagamitin ko. 

yung form na declaration of common law and use of representative di ko naman kaylangan nun need ko pa rin bang isubmit put n/a na lang?

kung wala ka naman common law union at hindi ka naman gumamit ng representative - then no need to submit that

Nabasa yung entire thread pero wala pa ng post regarding whether single or multiple CAD visa for an Alaska cruise that starts and ends in Vancouver.

I know may rule sila na na if you exit canada, and went to the US, then back to Canada, the single entry is still valid. Clear yun pag land tour. Pero sa cruise, medyo confusing kasi iba iba interpretation...

Legally valid yun kasi Alaska is part of US territory, and may nag Alaska cruise na round trip na single visa lang.. but yun mga travel agents nag advice na multiple na raw kunin para wala ng gulo..

Kasi raw yung ibang ship officers daw di aware sa rule and maka ma deny boarding pa so sayang yung cruise fare and ma stuck ka sa vancouver..

Lalong gumulo na may remark sa Canadian consulate website for cruise passengers na once daw nag leave ng port yung ship and nasa international waters.. di na raw valid ang single entry... pero sabi naman ng canadian embassy website, as long as di ka nag enter ng other country besides US, valid pa..

So contradicting yun kasi kahit na nasa international waters ka, di ka pa naman ng enter ng ibang country..kaya lalong gumulo dito.

Madali sabihin na multiple ang kunin.. pero ang problem is double ang price ng multiple visa, so mas masakit pag na deny, and siyempre mas lalong magiging strict ang evaluation mo pag multiple entry than single entry, so mas may chance ma deny.

so better single ba or multiple sa ganitong situation..

^^ i have never been to canada. but it is better to get a multiple entry visa. i went on a us-mexico cruise last year. i was not required to get a mexican visa by mexico (i asked their embassy here in the Phil. before we booked for the cruise).
but i had to have a multiple entry US visa.
para safe mag apply ka na lang ng multiple entry visa kahit na mas mahal yun. sayang lang din kung single entry tapos nasa cruise ka na tapos mastuck ka sa isang lugar kasi single entry visa yung hawak mo. it's too risky to go on a cruise tapos single entry visa ang hawak mo. baka masira lang ang vacation mo pag naipit ka sa isang lugar.

i want to get a canadian visa before my canadian citizen aunt retires here in the Philippines. kaso iniisip ko kung willing ba talaga kami gumastos para pumunta ng canada for a week. nasa US kasi half ng family ko, kaya sandali lang ako pwede mag vacation sa canada.

just call the call center number then set for an appointment pick up, tapos pay mo nalang courrier fee na p350.

i went on a us-mexico cruise last year. i was not required to get a mexican visa by mexico (i asked their embassy here in the Phil. before we booked for the cruise).
but i had to have a multiple entry US visa.

sorry not related to canada, but thanks for this clarification, coz im going to USA din and cousins there wanted me to check if I needed pa a visa for the usa-mexico cruise, kase isa sa plan yun pag punta ko dun..buti na lang you posted and since mutiple us visa naman nabigay sa akin, so i guess no problem...super thanks.

@ dimplesgon,  bring your return ticket to manila when you join the cruise. hinanap kasi ng immigration officer nung papasok na ako ulit ng US.

depende po sa immigration if i-re-require or hindi , so after nyo mapasa ang mga documents , you will receive notification if needed mag medical pa. like sa officemate ko yung mommy nya, ni require na mag medical, while yung mommy ko (mas senior pa sa mommy nya) hindi ni-require mag medical, so depende po talaga... eh halos same month lang sila nag apply ng tourist visa

^ sis, first time ng mommy ko, as in first time ever nya mag travel outside the country.
Walang tatak ang passport whatsoever, no proof of income/fund, reitired na, so housewife lang.

Yung sister ko na nasa canada ang nagbigay ng proof of income nya na she will support all my mother's expenses , kaya nga we are so happy kasi walang ka worry worry.
Binigyan agad ng tourist visa.

sana pag isasabay ko din ang daddy ko at tita ko wala din medical na hingin.

Yung senior citizen na tita ko kasi, tagal na sya invite magtour sa canada, ayaw nya kasi nga ayaw daw nya ng minemedical pa.
