rics is right. You don't need so much if you won't go shopping (although the outlet shops at Brampton/Mississauga are really tempting. The TTC per day fare is about CAD 3, useful the whole day na. I bought the Toronto City Pass for CAD 65.99 for all the attractions na yun (CN Tower, Casa Loma, Zoo, Science Centre and ROM). Sulit sya

ok naman na to go to thee places kahit once lang. ang hindi ko lang medyo type na place to go is the science centre except if there is a major exhibit. but i enjoy the zoo.

hi, pasensya na po, i have no time to back read... i just need to ask all of you kung ano kaya ang possible na reason na nadeny ang father namin sa application nya for temp. resident visa / tourist visa?
He's a government employee, 61 years old, may approximately 3000 USD sya sa bank account nya, he's a widowed, he intends to visit my sister's family who is in Canada for more than a year already. Complete naman yung docs na submit namin pero na deny pa rin sya... sad... it will break his heart, miss na miss na nya ang mga apo nya... ano kaya pwede naming gawin??? help! thanks

Ano daw reason for his denial. Nagprovide ba sila ng letter explaining for the refusal?

Kasad naman, parang naiisip ko and daddy ko kung saka sakali pag namiss nya mga apo nya. 

Parang mas mahirap pa kumuha ng Canadian Tourist Visa kesa sa US.

standard na yata nila ang ganyang reasons, kahit isa lang dun magfall sa case ng applicant.

Walang specific na reason sa case ng tao.

" limited employment prospects in your country of residence, your current employment situation", e diba 61 yrs old is retiring age na.

Faith and Luck na nga lang talaga ang makakapagsabi.

Parang wala naman ako nabasa needed naka notarize maybe it's optional. Invitation letter can be sent as email, fax or letter, pwede nga rin diretso sa embassy.

Just sharing:

My mother, 75 years old, unemployed, no savings account, no property in her name, no overseas travel (so walang tatak ang passport kahit ano,) applied for tourist visa single entry, supporting documents submitted: letter of invitation from my sister in canada (canadian citizen na sya), sa letter na ka state lang na she is inviting our mom to go there to visit her apo, and mag tour duon, naka state din sa letter na sagot ng sister ko lahat ng expenses nya (ordinary letter only, NOT notarized),  photocopy of her id (proof of her citizenship), certificate of employment and compensation nya , and bank certificate ng deposit nya sa bank nya.

My mother got her visa , no interviews, no medical, and the process only took 9 working days (documents picked up june 6, and we received the visa june 17)

Hi mga sis! any suggestions how to travel from nyc to toronto? which airline would be the cheapest? and other alternatives also, like daan muna niagara falls then cross the border to canada? train from ny-toronto is out of the question kasi daytime lang ang biyahe and we don't want to waste time. thanks

^how long are you staying?

you can take greyhound bus leaving NY port authority on a daily basis. you can take the night trip and arrive in toronto early morning. if you take the bus, you can get off before you reach the us/canada border and tour the niagara falls park US side first, then ride another greyhound bus going to the other side. the distance actually from these two parks are very near, from the US side, you can already see the canadian parks, the only thing that separates the two countries would be the falls itself. i even saw people crossing on foot.

there are hotels on both sides of the falls, but if you opt to go to Toronto after your Niagara falls tour, its another 1.5-2 hrs ride, depending on traffic.

^you can go all the way straight to Toronto then spend 1 night at the Niagara  Canada side after. if you could rent a car, it would be easier for you to just cross the border. Im not sure if the rainbow bridge is the one open for pedestrian crossing to go to the US side, which offers different attractions.
