question: if one has a US tourist visa and on a vacation in the US, can I apply for canadian visa there? or dapat dito sa phils.?
plan kasi nman magvacation sa new york. my sis is in canada so [textspeak!] nya why
not magside trip din sa canada since it is already close to NY.

^yes sis, kelangan dito ka sa pinas mag-apply ng visa to Canada even if may US visa ka.

Mga sis!!! Magapply na naman ako ulit...3rd straight year ko na magapply sana naman 3rd try e GO na!....crossing my fingers.. this time im not sure kung if i should include the letter of invitation by my bf. What do u think?
I read in another forum na baka kasi isipin na d na talaga ko babalik at magstay na ko sa CA. Im leaning towards not including his letter and just tell them that im going on vacation....Nakapag vacation naman ako sa ibang countries including the US last dec. Lagi na [textspeak!] kami nagkikita ni bf sa ibang countries other than CA

So should I include his letter of invite or no? whatchatink?

hello my mga sis! this is my first time in this site. i'm just curious if anyone here had recently apply for a tourist visa in canada? I did last June 7, 2010 but up to now I haven't received any word yet from the Canadian Embassy. I tried calling pero wala naman sumasagot. Anyone here na kagaya ko.

pag na deny ka ba sa pagkuha ng U.S visa, malaki chance na ma deny ka rin pag kumuha ng canadian visa? o pwede parin makalusot?

If you just got denied the US visa recently, yes -- the probability is high you will likewise be denied a visa to Canada.

Mind the reason for the US visa denial and correct that when re-applying for the US Visa or for another visa at another embassy.

ha ha! the kabit got denied kasi kahapon sa U.S Embassy. next week ata kukuha ng canadian visa. i'm crossing my fingers! thanks aquacharly!

do the canadian embassy and US embassy share the same system kaya?  D ba wala na tinatatak ang US if denied unlike before?

yes sis.  kasi MIL ko na deny ng visa lang last year.  but we were still able to get the schengen visa kasi la naman tatak yun US embassy sa passport niya.   Now namin try to her the US visa.  Baka having the Schengen visa will now help.

M LIM   actually, my sister always says (she is the one who owns a travel agency)  that it is harder to get a Canadian visa.  Kahit na daw may US visa na, na de-deny pa Canadian visa application.   

Baket, may ambisyon sumama si kabet sa honeymoon nyo?  hahahaha..

Baka no need now to stamp the denial for the US visa application since the computer systems have been upgraded, pati nga biometrics kaya na.   They must surely have an entry for each application filed by a person and the action thereon taken by the embassy.

It does not mean that once denied, forever denied, or denied by all.
Kaya nga you gotta mind well the reasons for a denial, and learn to correct that deficiency ... so history does not repeat itself and you get denied again.

anyway, humingi na sila ng tulong from our travel agency. doon magpapa pass ng requirements. (honestly, gusto ko kausapin our travel agent. nagpipigil pa ako. GRR)

If the US Visa Application was denied due to incomplete docs .. the consul does not stamp the passport... and the applicant may be told to come back with the required documents on x date.

However, if the consul denies the visa application based on his assessment of the documents presented and answers of the applicant... yan, may tatak sa passport.. the date of the interview is stamped, that is all, but everybody in all the other embassies  know what that is for:  visa application denial.

Maganda nga kasi sa Canadian Embassy, "pass your papers" no need to show your face, unless you are called to clarify certain matters.   Hindi sya marunong mag organize kaya nagpatulong na sa travel agency for the documents that must support the application.

Actually nga, it is hardest daw to get a Canadian tourist visa.. the embassy does not care if you have a US visa, Australian/Japanese visa.    But who knows?  She just might squeak through, lol.

^^im so lucky kasi nabigyan ako ng 1 year multiple entry visa... No question asked. Btw i have several visas na dn [textspeak!] with other countries like US and Japan kaya baka advantage na din.

how many days is the visa processing sa pinas?

sa AUH kasi one day lang daw so i might fly there to acquire one if it takes more than a week sa pinas.

When I submitted mine 5 years ago, it took them 1 month to process it. Although it may be because I submitted it thru mail and did not appear in person. So easy to file and so efficient when you have all the requirements ready! I did get the visa I wanted with multiple entry. Now, I am a permanent resident in Canada.
