I also have scoliosis and i have body brace yung plastic hindi yung metal thingy and from my tummy to my shoulders lang sya my doctor said na i have to loose weight. hindi nga sya obvious kasi i'm fat but when i loose weight hindi naman sya obvious eh or maybe i need to loose more. I don't wear na the body brace at pag sumasakit i take pain reliever but it's not the ordinary pain reliever mas strong sya

I've undergone spinal fusion in 2008 and it's one of the best decisions I've ever made..although I've lost the capacity to dance like I used to..It saved me from several complications I might develop at a later time..my spine was at 50 degrees..I had my surgery at Manila Doctors Hospital but my Spine Surgeon is from Cardinal Santos and is a product of UP-PGH with trainings internationally..and because I'm feeling so much better..I lost to follow up LOL (stubborn patient)

@cai2179 We share the same doctor. Si Dr. Franklin din sakin. I have thoraco-lumbar curve naman. It's been years since nagpacheck up ako sa kanya, last resort na kasi is surgery like yours, grabe super haba ng incision, scary and mahal din magagastos.

I had this siguro HS. College ko lang kasi nalaman, when my classmate's mom, who happens to be a doctor, noticed why there's limp when I walk.

Last check ko 25-30 degrees ako. Ewan ko lang ngayon. Yeah there's that never ending back pain. I did pay a visit to a chiropractor pero grabe di ko kinaya ang exercises. I recently took a session of Acupuncture and ventosa and I felt lighter for some 2 weeks.

But the hardest part is yung criticism from the people, dahil nga sa may balakang yung curve ko, may hip discrepancy na ko which results to my left leg being 1 inch shorter than my other leg.  Mahirap din maglakad kasi uneven eh pero ganun talaga eh, I sometimes think na mas worse pa nga sa ibang tao so I'm still blessed.

I have scolio din.. Ako i experience pain pero tolerable pa naman. I dont take pain reliever as much as possible, kasi more of ngalay yung sa back ko.

I have slight dextroscoliosis also, diagnosed 12-14 years ago na.. Omg
Pero i don't feel any back pain or any deformation, naisip ko lang sya palagi na i need to get a check up again baka lumala pa, pero oh my yearsss na.. Yikes..

My titas have it, i got it from my father's side..

Nakakaiyak naman mga posts dito.  ang hirap ng may scoliosis, iba yung lakas mo, dami limitations sa mga pysical activities, kailangan mo din maging conscious sa posture ( napakahirap), at ang pain/ ngalay sa likod nakakainis.

ang galing..i had my operation year 2006....pero ako may humo arinako sa likod kahit naoperahan na...pero medyo umayos naman...

kasi naman almost 75 degrees na ako bago ako nagpaopera...

Hello mga sisses, lumabas din sa APE result ko na may Dextroscoliosis ako but is anyone here ang may idea if yung Yoga is makakatulong para macorrect yung posture ng mga taong may ganitong case?

^pilates is more advisable for scolio, pero dapat one-on-one session kasi dapat tutok yung instructor. Mahal lang but totally worth it. It helped me kasi prior to my operation I did pilates tapos di lumala yung curvature.

~76° yata, down to 23° na lang ngayon. Delikado na daw kasi if lower pa sabi ng doctor. Pero ok na yun, I gained 2.5 inches naman. Haha. How bout you, ilan degrees ka na lang after nung surgery?

Mga 24 degrees..pero ako may hump pa.. Ang galing ikaw kasi wala... Kaya pede ka na mag backless ako di parin carry...

Naoperahan din ako dahil sa scoliosis sa Philippine Orthopedic Center. Malala na talaga ang likod ko nun at korteng "S" na talaga ang katawan ko. Sabi pa ng doctor may chance na hindi na ko makalakad after. Kaya sobrang thankful ako kay God kasi hindi naman ako naging baldado afterwards. Magagaling ang doctors dun, hindi ko nalang din maalala ang mga pangalan. I was just 13 that time, year 2001 un, 25 na ko ngayon.

Ako sis nagpapa masahe and may nireseta sakin yung rehab dr ko sa st. Lukes na vigel ointment. Pwede sya bilhin over the counter.

wala sis! I let it be. I went to my derma mga months after surgery, hayaan ko na lang daw coz it will fade on its own. Pero kung talagang gusto ko daw mawala agad, she suggested I use Melfade which can be bought sa clinic niya. I didn't use it.. hinayaan ko lang, I don't do modelling naman so for me it's really not that necessary. hehe

Hello!

My recent xray said i have mild dextrocoliosis (right side) and i was really surprised since im 25 years old and my last xray (2011) was normal. Pwede pala yun! Hindi talaga ko familiar.I thought scoliosis is pang bata lang and pag older na is di na mangyayari.

I think it's because of my desk work and carrying heavy laptop everyday. May mga first time cases din ba na mga 25 or more na?

Any tips to help sa ganitong cases like sa pain and para hindi mag worsen?

Also, can you recommend a good and affordable doctor?
