so maybayad pa rin kahit na naka warranty ang laptop? di ko yata natanong to. [textspeak!] rin kasi namang sinabi sa akin. pinafill-out lang ako ng request for service na form and hinanap yung receipt ng laptop ko.

no sis...magbabayad ka lang if you decided to permanently pull out your laptop...whether or not na solve ang problem...pero kapag kasama ang laptop mo sa warranty wala ka yata babayaran..

finally!!! naayos na rin nila ang webcam ng laptop ko. LCD and motherboard ang pinalitan. kasi nung LCD lang di nasolve so nagorder ng motherboard. hassle masyado kasi by part yung pinapalitan nila. now i got it back for good. parang bago... with all the plastic wrapping kesa nung bago ko binili. mabuti na lang ok rin service nila. if available ang part normally the next day may feedback na agad.

^ok lang naman sis. i can use this for work properly naman talaga. yun nga lang webcam ko ang may problem before. but so far, ok naman itong new replacement.

mas gusto ko talaga dito yung size niya. di kasing liit ng mga small netbooks. di rin malaki like most laptops.

i bought na a compaq pero b1285. yun lang kasi yung 12in na nakita ko sa asianic.
it's pre-installed with home vista(pero 30-day trial lang muna para matest)...
problem ko lang is kapag nakapag-startup na sya, diba nakikita na yung desktop...after a few seconds, nagblablackout yung screen and bumabalik ulit kaagad.
i wonder if anyone has experienced the same thing. i asked the technician pero sabi nya normal daw yun sa vista. what do you guys think? i tried changing the power options pero ganoon pa rin.

^sis, ganyan rin yung experience ko before... but after the updates naging ok na lahat. so far, ok na ang performance ng b1285 ko pati yung cpu temp. i'll try full setup (with all my needed appz) na mamaya to check if ok pa rin performance. vista and browsers pa lang kasi nainstall ko dito before nung pinacheck ko sa service center.

you downloaded the updates sis sa hp website?
i do have another problem pala. hindi mainstall ang xp dito. when i called asianic technician, sabi vista compatible daw yung unit and hindi pwede xp. ang labo diba? sabi naman nung friend ko tumawag pwede daw.

^vista ultimate ginamit ko kasi yun lang ang may license ako. but i do know na pwedeng-pwede ang XP dyan. may mga xp drivers sa hp site... meron ring iba na hahanapin mo pa talaga.

may mga naginstall ng XP dito... try to check na lang yung ibang comments ng mga naginstall ng XP. normally may links sila sa drivers na ginamit na nagwork...

^ thanks sis! i found the drivers na and hopefully mapa-install ko muna windows xp dito then the drivers na.

does your vista run smoothly in your unit? they say the unit is designed daw for vista but i think the 1G ram is a little low.

and btw, i do experience the high temp in my unit also.

i'm using nalang a cooler...

i'm glad at may thread for hp/compaq here.

i have a problem with my bro's hp pavilion dv2415 laptop & just turned one yr pa lang. Last august i had it repair sa festival mall because of blank screen or black-out for 3 weeks. When i pressed the power button walang lumalabas as is black screen lang. What they did, nireheat nila ang board and it works naman but only after more than one week bumalik ulit yung problem so i sent it back again for back-job. They told me na ire-reheat lang daw nila ulit para bumukas and I asked what seems to be the problem why it appeared again ang sabi sa akin video chips daw ang problema usually daw ang ganung model mahina daw ang video chips. If i want to change the video chips i need as well to change or replace the mother board.

Now, i'm using the laptop again kaya lang i'm thinking na baka bumalik ulit ang sakit. My bro told me na dalhin ko na nga daw sa HP service at balak nya na rin ibenta to buy a new one.

does anyone has an ideas or suggestions to prevent this prob?

^^brendz, ok naman ang vista ultimate dito. dinagdagan ko kasi ng another 1gb ram. after the motherboard replacement, di na umaabot ng more than 70 degrees yung cpu temp ko. normally nasa 50-60 degrees na lang.

ok naman siya sis. i find it a lot faster than Acer AspireOne, Asus EEEpC or MSI Wind considering its running on Via Chip.

eto ba yung new BIOS version? if yes..siguro you can try to google "HP limited warranty service enhancement"

just bought Hp Pavilion dv691ous 15.4" screen 200GB 3GB DDR2 memory. hindi ko pa masyado na explore. hope walang problem.
