Close ba kayo sa Dad nyo?

yup...i'm very close to my dad...in fact it's his birthday today. happy birthday papa! we love you! mwah!

Yes, inspite of everything -- we had a roller coaster life while we were growing up coz he had a mistress.  My mom did not like to kick him out nor to walk away -- and the mistress just kept on waiting, waiting and waiting.  So although my dad came home every night, and we were financially well taken cared of -- the tension was really something! 

Yes, we are close -- but he is fading away.  Alzheimerz.

nakaka iyak naman un moments nyo ng dad mo... sa case ko kasi, hindi kami close... pero hindi rin naman kami magkaaway... dumating lang siguro un point na mas kasundo nya un 2 younger brothers ko... syempre, nag iisang girl ako so, mas lamang un mga activities na nagugustuhan nilang 3... pero, same as yours, kahit di kami ganun ka close, naiisip ko rin na sana same din ng magigigng asawa ko ang father ko... kami lang kasi ang barkada nya... may mga dati syang friends, pero hindi un tulad ng iba na mas lamang na sila pa ang magkakasama... hindi rin palainom ang father ko..he smoke everyday, pero he only drinks pag may occasion... I love my father.... we love him...

^yah super close kaya nga up to now kahit may family na ako i still support for his medical expenses! sakitin na kasi! and i miss kapag magkakasama kaming magkakapatid together with him grabe ang biruan at tawanan,sometimes magsasayawan kami nasa gitna ang tatay namin

Yes!! I miss my dad so much. He died 4 years ago.  I miss him so much.  He always cheers us up and never fails to give us advices especially re boys.  Like, how do we tell if a guy is a player and what usually runs through a guy's head (kasi he used to be a player pero hindi nya inaamin).

I'll be 40 this year but still very much a Daddy's girl   My only sibling, my brother, is my Mom's baby naman so I guess quits lang kami.

Growing up, my Dad worked really hard to give us everything we wanted and needed. So much so that he didn't get to spend quality time with the family. He was always going home late and spending too much time away from home due to the nature of his job. It was wrong but that's how he was raised --- in the old school mentality that men are providers of the family and the women take care of the rest. He was very strict with me, never allowed me to go out without a chaperone. I had a curfew right up til the time I got married! I used to really hate my Mom for it because she was the vocal one and my Dad was just really quiet. Little did I know, she was merely imposing his rules. When I began to understand that he was the stringent one, I started to dislike him (not hate, I can't ever hate my Dad) because I felt I was missing out on so many things that my friends were allowed to do. But it's funny because although I felt bad about his restrictions, I never even thought of disobeying him, running away from home, rebelling or anything like that.

He's quiet, a man of few words. Not expressive at all of his feelings. But he and I have this unspoken thing. Even if he is in the most masungit of moods, I know how to approach him and soften him up. It's like I have this magical effect on him haha He is great to my two daughters who are the apples of his eye (of my Mom's, too).

Bottomline...my Mom and I are close as well but it's my Dad I've always been closer to. In fact, I remember one incident, a fight that I had with my Mom and she kinda accidentally blurted out, she knows naman daw that I love my Dad more than I love her. Maybe it's true...I love them both dearly but my Dad is super super special to me
