Using the husband's surname, will you or will you not?

i didn't like that i needed to...

according to the person who fixes my bir, sss, philhealth, pag-ibig, etc. may issue daw. i even debated with him sabi ko allowed naman na hindi mag-change ng surname ha. pwede daw pero like sa philhealth, hindi ko pwedeng gawing beneficiary ang husband ko. ngek! pwede daw anak ko pero hindi ang asawa ko. dba weird? hindi ko alam kung sure sya sa sinasabi nya. hahaha.

wala naman issue kay husband kung gamitin ko surname nya or not. swerte sana ako ganun thinking nya, kaso itong batas parang ayaw payagan na hindi magpalit eh. kainis.

ahaha i am still using my maiden name,sa fb ko hypenated siya or kapag sinisipag ako.pero request sakin ni hubby kung pwede daw ba gamitin ko ang name niya kapag nagong doctor na ako at walapa faw doctor sa family nila ;£ ang lagay eh...hehe

I just attended this government required seminar for Filipinos who married foreign nationals. They were about to write my husband's last name (though my passport is still under my maiden name), I asked them write my maiden name and hyphenate my husbands. Medyo naguluhan lang si ate typing pero at the end of it all I got the certificate with my hyphenated last name. Planning to do this with all my government documents.


Ayaw ko talaga maging Mrs ** my husbands last name **. Kasi parehas na kami ng MIL ko at Grandmother in law. No waayyy thankyouverymuch.

pero if i would have a choice i'd still incorporate my maiden name. isa lang kasi ang guy sa aming magkakapatid, wala na ibang maagcarry ng family name namin.

using my maiden name   akin un e 
civil code does not require a woman to use her husband's surname.
it merely permits her but does not require her.
to avoid difficulties, i always have a copy of our marriage certificate.

Immigration did not even ask me for it, nor did they ask me who I was travelling with.

i'm using my husband's surname. but i only changed it after 1 year pa ng wedding. nung umpisa kasi ng marriage namin i was still working, and my employment pass and my passport, all documents na work-related was in my maiden name. but when i left that company i started using my husband's surname na.

Yes, I'm now using my husband's surname after a year of marriage. Nagkaproblem kase ako sa bank loan because all my ID's nakalagay dun yun maiden's name ko pa. kapag married na pala and nagloan ka included ang husband sa loan pati sa pirma. so ang requirements is ID's na ang surname is yung surname ni hubby. ang gastos and nakakapagod pala mag change status. BIR, Philhealth, kuha ng marriage contract sa NSO, postal ID.. yung SSS and passport hindi ko pa naaasikaso. siguro asikasuhin ko sa susunod na payagan uli ako makapag leave.

After our wedding, I updated my name and status in SSS, TIN and Phil Health.
Regarding my license and passport last Nov. 2012 lang ako nagpapalit ng surname. Nagkakaproblema kase sa documentation every time na magtravel ako abroad. Para less stress sa discussion with HR, pinapalitan ko na lang.

hyphenated na lang gagawin ko since 3 letters lang naman ang surname niya, ang  surname ko naman nasa 8 letters so di ganon kahaba.
