Using the husband's surname, will you or will you not?

I'll use my husband surname.. bakit naman hindi??!!

mga sis i have  question. coz im not using my husband's surname in all my docs.and nd pa din updated into married un BIR and SS ko. now im planning to go abroad, wud it matter if hindi ko gmitin surname ni hubby? like status ko is married them im still using my surname? hnd ba ma question un sa embassy?

Hypenated right now. I was not able yet to change it to his surname for the passport, credit card, etc. It's a hassle nga kasi both our surnames are long, kaya minsan I just use my maiden name.

di ko pa din na change status ko sa nga IDs ko, so maidenname pa din gamit ko, pero sa mga new documents gamit ko na surname ni hubby kakalito nga lang minsan sa pirma.

not really sis. same tayo ng case, except am already working abroad. i have a son who uses his father's surname (of course) pero hindi pa naman kami na-question even once when we travel by ourselves from the phils to abroad.

dito naman, hindi rin naku-question yung paggamit ko ng maiden name at work or even in other documents and yet declared married sa status. i guess, they respect my right to choose which surname i want to use.

same case here sis. Nung nasa Dubai ako [textspeak!] naman silang pakialam married nga status ko pero ndi ko ginamit yung surname ng husband ko still nakuha ko pa rin yung family benefits ko na included yung ticket fare and insurance coverage ng asawa ko I'm working in the government pa nun so mas strict pa ang policy nila at ito pa Islamic country pa yun.

So ngayon naman I just decided na i-adopt na for the citizenship...(were moving to Spain) and bilang respeto na rin sa kanya kasi sobrang bait ng asawa ko eh gagamitin ko na.

i want to use my husband's surname kaya lang hassle kase magpalit ng mga IDs kaya parang ayaw ko na tuloy. kung di lang talaga importante to di ko gagawing magchange ng last name eh.

^^ sis, hassle nga noh. now, d ko pa rin gamit surname niya. hyphenated usapan namin pero natatamad pa ako. sa fb lang yata ako nagpalit ng last name. hahaha

sa ibang chinese country, walang binabago na name kahit magasawa.

ayan, finally may isang ID na ko na gamit ang last name ng pamilya ng asawa ko. gusto ko rin nun, kase ka last name nila ... ay namin na pala... ang isang expensive tequila brand.

before,sobrang gustong gusto ko, but my work hinders me from using my hubby's name. ang dami kasi aasikasuhin. visa, passport, etc. pero ngayon, blessing in disguise na rin siguro. naghiwalay kami ni hubby now lang e. at least kahit paano parang single pa rin ako. hehe.

ako naman, hindi ko ginagamit surname ni hubby kasi sobrang common. 

recently, we had our immigrant visa granted kahit na magkaiba kami ng surnames. hehe.

^^it's your right to retain your last name naman, hindi na kini-question yan. i also applied for a visa last year, hindi naman big deal.

i use my husband's surname. mas maganda kasi surname nya eh. 

mas soshal last name ng asawa ko, brand ng isang mamahaling alak. yun nga lang, hindi ko pa nagagawa mag change ng name, hinihintay ko mag expire passport ko, sayang naman kase. hehe, kuripot.

mine's hyphenated, why not used his kng married na naman kayo? isa pa, it't the thought kaya nga nagpakasal, to be as one with him. isa pa, wag na natin bigyan ng kalituhan ang ating mga anak kung mapansin nilang magkaiba pa ang mga surname natin with our husband. hehe

sis, chinese country din kasi ang singapore, taiwan, malaysia, atbp. hindi lang china ang chinese country, fyi

they're chinese-speaking countries, not chinese countries. they're not even territories of china nga eh (except for HK & Macau of course).

bago ako tuluyan ma off-topic: in vietnam, married women do not change their last names din, i believe.

mine's hyphenated, why not used his kng married na naman kayo?

kase nakakatamad magpalit ng IDs & documents? hehe. seriously, isa yan sa factor kaya di ako makapagpalit ng last name, pero fino-follow-up yan ng father-in-law ko, not my husband haha!

pero dahil mahal ko sya kahit ayaw ko pasakop sa surname ng pamilya nya, gagawin ko...

haha!  di pa kami married pero usap usapan na namin to.  gusto ko kasi hyphenated.  ayaw niya.    someone told me mahirap daw pag hyphenated kasi confusing daw for paperwork, totoo ba yun?
