I hyphenate, since I established a career using my surname. But what is frustrating with our government (SSS and DFA, especially) and (some of our) banks is that they refuse to adopt my hyphenated surname! That is the law for goodness' sake! Our government really sucks! They do not implement their own laws.
i think it would be a slap in his face if ever a girl decides not use his family name. kaya for me in the future i'd use his family name pero syempre depende parin yon kung mabaho yong family name - isip isip muna.. LOL!
il definitely use his surname, after all its a part of getting married, you have to become one . . that includes using his last name.
