Dito rin nagsisimula yan. Ang babae hindi na mahiwalayan ang bf dahil may nakuha na sa kanya at first time niya. Chances are nagiging clingy na. :o Kaloka!  Tapos biglang magrereklamo bakit ganito mga lalake and so on.

^^The Bible clearly states that in cases of infidelity, you can divorce your spouse. This is because he/she broke the covenant. In Christian churches abroad, they also allow divorce if there's violence at home.

Sa akin lang, ang weird. If you're a Christian who believes na hindi dapat mag-divorce. It's your right to exercise your belief.

But why do many (not all) Christians deny others of their right to exercise their beliefs.

If you want to find someone who will not divorce you, find someone with that same belief.

@rae:

I've learned that in this life, there are really no guarantees. Like nagkaroon na ng infidelities, pananakit, all kinds of abuses.

Mahabang story pero they don't even know each other personally bago magpakasal. So kinasal sila pero naghiwalay rin which is I don't know the whole story kung ano ang nangyari.

I'm still using his last name kahit divorced na kami kasi ayokong gumastos ng 200k.

I actually think it should be legal. The reason why it should be legal is because it promotes healthier relationships and it scares out egoistic jerks and adulteresses.

If a relationship is already broken, whether a divorce exists or not, the couple will separate anyway. So why make it difficult for them to start anew? Hindi lang sa cases na merong abuse of any sort. Sometimes people DO marry the wrong partners. Bakit naman sila pahihirapan pa to find someone better di ba.

Actually parang meron na ring divorce in the Philippines in the guise of an annulment but the downside are
1. There are very limited grounds and the most common ground used is psychological incapacity so  kailangan  pang ilabas yung mga kasiraan/weaknesses nung husband/wife mo para makita nang court na psychologically incapacitated nga sya.

2. Annulment is costly so usually mga may kaya lang nakakapag pa annul.

I hope that if ever we will have a divorce law they would include irreconcilable differences as a ground just like in other countries in that way hindi na kailangan pang lumabas na may psychological problem.

I wonder why some of our countrymen are too proud that we do not have this law na  kung titingnan mo ang paligid ang daming broken families. I think that it is a form of hipocrisy.

I will be extremely happy if divorce will be legal in PH.

^ Nice. Let us know when it's out.
^^ I agree. I respect their beliefs. I just hope that they also respect the beliefs of other people and give them the option of divorce. If you're catholic naman, you won't be allowed divorce pa rin. So, I don't see the problem.

i think yes. i have a happy marriage kaya lang some women are not.  some women are battered and unhappy. im in favor of divorce but on certain grounds like physical abuse.  it's still up to the couple to keep their marriage in tact with or without divorce in the philippines.

this is long overdue. stories of battered women is too many to ignore.

Altho, baka kasi maging commodity nalang ang marriage and that couples will stop trying to fix a marriage dahil alam na meron agad escape. so no motivation to work harder for the relationship :(

I agree with this. I feel sorry for women (or men) who are battered but cannot leave their marriage just because there is no divorce here.

I don't believe sa "fell out of love" story, sorry. I believe in Sanctity of Marriage.
