no, di ako nag inburgering. Di pa siya required noon e. But I took dutch lessons for a year tapos kumuha ako ng staatsexamen. Pero kailangan mo siya talagang kuhanin na ngayon. I'll ask some filipinas here where you can find such reading materials. Pero pag nandito ka na, madali na lang humanap niyan. Mahirap ba??!! Well, depende gaano ka kagaling sa languages..pero in my experience, dutch language is a very difficult language to learn. Lalo na ang pronunciation nila...urrgghh...

Plano kasi namin friends (were atleast to go on a Euro tour.
We are all based in Dubai.

May nakapag apply ba dito na grupo?

Has anyone tried applying a Schengen visa for their nanny? What are the requirements? Same lang ba with US visa? Do we have to fill out the  "Employment contract by the DDTEFP" (Cerfa "employment contract No. 13647-02) form from the website?

I've been trying to call the Embassy of France for 3 days now but walang sumasagot. I even tried to email them because i also have to request for a reschedule (since we're leaving earlier than expected), but i didnt get any reply...

^sis, experience ko with the French embassy they rarely answer emails. But I was able to get in touch with them through phone at the alloted schedule time (tyagaan lang). Situation ko naman before I wanted to find out if hubby needed to get a schengen tourist visa for our trip last year even though he already was holding a valid schengen business visa. Our trip was purely leisure so if he'll use his business visa baka hanapan sya ng papeles. We were advised to get a tourist visa from the embassy of our main destination which was Germany.

What's nice lang with the French embassy, they are liberal when giving out visas specially if one has had schengen visas before. I was given a 4 year valid visa good for 90 days each stay way back in late 2008. So, I still have 2 years to enjoy my visa    Yung German embassy naman is the opposite. As in ang kuripot, kung ano yung dates of travel namin yung lang yung binigay na visa kay hubby. And to think may valid business visa si hubby expiring 2013!

You will know right away.
After the interview you will be told of your application's denial/approval en punto right there and then.  And if denied,  why.

Remember this,  when visas require personal appearances/interviews  (Embassies of France, Spain, Japan & USA per my personal experiences)  -- you will know for sure whether your application is approved or not immediately after the interview.   Hindi na nila pagmunimuni pa if approve or deny ka nila after the interview. Right there and then  the  "judgment" is told to you straight to your face.

^my last visa application wala din interview sa akin. I was with hubby kasi who was applying for business visa. He was picking up a plane from the Airbus factory in Toulouse. Nag submit lang kami ng papers & that was it!

My first time to apply for a schengen visa, isa lang tanong sa akin. "When are you leaving?" Kasi I wrote in my application form under purpose of trip  "To accompany my husband who will be training at Airbus".

My next application, wala nang tanong-tanong. I just handed in my application form together with all the required documents. Voila! They gave me a 4 year multiple visa.

^^^ako din walang interview nung nag apply ako ng schengen visa application, they only ask when is my flight  date, then after that binigay na yong schedule ko to pick up my visa.

wow, sana ako din madali lang. yung mga originals ba yung ibinigay nyong documents? or photocopy? sasabihin ba nila kung alin ang gusto nila? or they ask one by one kung xerox or original?
