Congrats! sis melodymedley.  You're an inspiration to me not to give up and there is hope for a solo traveler like me.  By the way, are you also single?.... Happy Trip and Have a great time there! :-)

My tips (naputol sa taas)/thoughts/insights:
1) Be there early (duh). May waiting time.
2) Make sure that the document has a readable font. The lady in the window returned to me some of my additional documents reflecting my additional assets for submission because she said that the font was too small and the consul will not be able to read those. She's right. My fault. 
3) I don't think it is worth reapplying if you will not submit any additional or new information.
4) I am glad I did not reapply in another embassy. I stuck with the truth. I was asked why I did not try to apply in another embassy. I simply said nothing changed in my itinerary and I will still stay in Italy the longest.
5) Single and a DIY solo is a red glaring flag. Even if you have all the other documents, this does not mean you will be granted the visa.
6) "In the end, everything will be okay. If it is not okay, then it is not the end"
