Schengen Visa Application

i called Austrian Embassy hotline. 13euro charged sa credit card per call.

my appointment is on sept 7. meron pa silang sched for aug 30 kaso i will get my new passport by sept 1 pa. sana talaga walang maging problema... minimum of 2weeks daw yung processing nila. but when i checked sa website, usually 3weeks ang processing. mukhang aabot ako sa trip ko sa oct pag naapprove ako.

sis  was backreading and chance to read on your post.  How long was your austrian visa released?  how did you make your appointment for the interview? TIA

^hi sis. during my interview, i was told that i will get my the result after 3weeks. pero less than 2 weeks pa lang yata i received a text message from them that i can pick up my passport with visa na.

how did i set my appointment?
i called their hotline sis. it's a paid service. on the onset of the call, hihingin agad yung credit card details mo. cant remember exactly how much. around 800pesos ata. convert mo na lang sa euro. they will just ask you for your passport details and what type of visa you are applying. tapos bibigyan ka na ng available dates for interview. tapos, they will email you your confirmed appointment with application form.

sana sa akin rin maging madali... nag-aaply pa lang din ako ng passport tapos after visa naman...yung mother ko or uncle ko ang magbibigay ng invitation pero ang plano ko talaga mag work dun...pero sabi ng uncle ko tourist daw muna.. sana maayos ang process...

^ you don't need to actually tell the consul that you are going to work there. sabihin mo tour lang. pag na approve ka na then by all means, stay there and work basta legal ha =)

^There is no way you can convert a tourist visa into work visa if short stay visa lang ang kukunin mo.

hello everyone, anyone tried applying for switzerland? kanina lang yung interview ko and binigyan ako ng "claim stub" on March 21. Does it mean my visa application has already been approved? or do i have to wait until march 21 to know the result? kinuha naren nila yung passport ko..

medyo worried lang ako kasi walang formal announcement such as "congrats, we are granting you a visa".. something like that..

am i expecting an approved visa or processing palang yung decision nila?

hello everyone, anyone tried applying for switzerland? kanina lang yung interview ko and binigyan ako ng "claim stub" on March 21. Does it mean my visa application has already been approved? or do i have to wait until march 21 to know the result? kinuha naren nila yung passport ko..

medyo worried lang ako kasi walang formal announcement such as "congrats, we are granting you a visa".. something like that..

am i expecting an approved visa or processing palang yung decision nila?

sis, ganun talaga sila. Once they get your passport and give you a stub good as a visa granted na yun. If they were to deny you, right there and then they will tell you.

sis, it doesn't matter how they spell Manila as long as correct spelling ng name mo and valid yung dates ng visa. Congrats!

they don't tell it outright naman, schengen visa isn't as meticulous sa a US visa but you have to have all requirements. and if you are really going there just to visit, nothing to worry, don't have to be paranoid or guilty

hi everyone! need help/ advise.

hubby & i plan to spend christmas in paris this year. how soon can we apply for a visa? and madami kasing promo fares now, is it safe to buy a ticket already then apply after? mahirap ba kumuha ng visa sa french embassy?

^You can apply for a schengen visa not more than 3 months of your estimated departure date. So, if you'll be spending Christmas there you can schedule an interview appointment in October.

Don't buy tickets yet! Around September/October there will be a lot of promos on airfare. Since you'll be be travelling during winter, that's low season so expect really good deals in airfares.

Not that difficult to apply at the French Embassy. They're pretty straight forward. Medyo galante pa sila magbigay ng visa validity. They gave me 4 year multiple entry visa when I applied way back in 2008.
