Schengen Visa Application

^^ sis, no problem with my documents i can present payslips, reservations etc. if i'll apply on my own. lets say he will sponsor me? are we going to include ba sa affidavit of support na ang purpose namin is to get married there? that's our main goal naman talaga. i will resign on my job once ma approved na yung visa (that's if i will apply on my own) yung sure na talaga makakaalis ako. 

^sis maribeth, we want to marry in France first then sa Pinas. Pero for less hassle baka unahin namin dito ayoko rin naman mag TNT dun. hahanap pa kami infos kung pwede sa ibang bansa pakasal like Sri lanka or Thailand (like somebody advise us) then go back to France as a married woman if that's the easiest way na magkasama kami. i dont think if it would work..

I got the visa na.  I went to the French embassy yesterday, and I left my passport to them for the visa.  Then nakuha ko na kanina.  Medyo tanghali na kasi ako nagpunta kahapon, wala na daw yun pipirma kaya pinabalik ako today.  Wait lang pala nila yun passport ko.  I got 6 months multiple entry visa.

sis, you said you applied online. how did you do it? i mean, yung embassy ang nag refer sayo dun? thanks =)

^sis, if you backread you'll see that angellove is in the Middle East and applied there. Dito sa Manila walang online application, you have to apply in person.

^sis I am also in the Middle East right now that's why I'm asking her specifically. I was surprised lang kasi when I inquired sa embassy, nobody told me about the online thing

If I got it correctly, ang tinutukoy ni angellove na online ay yung pagchecheck nya ng status ng application. Yung travel insurance nya pinurchase nya online.

Nung nag apply sya, she completed her requirements and dinala nya sa French embassy. Greece ang first entry nya pero sa French embassy ang nagpaprocess ng visa dito for Greece. Me tinatanong lang daw na ilang questions then pinapabalik sya for the result.

She waited online for the result kaya lang weeks na wala pa din. So she went back to the french embassy and got the result.

mga sis, magkano aabutin ng mga fees for applying the visa. we plan to have our honeymoon in Spain but since the visa will permit us to enter other countries, maganda na rin.

mga sis can i apply ba for a schengen visa a year ahead of my planned trip while im still a student? im afraid kasi that i might have a slim chance of getting a visa if ill apply right after graduation or while waiting for the exam results... and also while being there (norway) as a tourist im planning to look for a job then if may job offer na, balik dito sa pinas and then apply for a working visa. ok ba ang plano ko? thanks sissies!

^sis baka ma-deny ka din. Non-refundable pa man din yung application fee nila. In the application form kasi they will ask for your departure dates kasi yun ang ilalagay nilang validity sa visa mo. And if you tell them next year pa baka pabalikin ka when malapit na departure dates mo.

The usual lead time for applying is 2 to 3 months.

Hi I am leaving for Spain two weeks from now. So, I'd like to ask what other documents to bring when I travel?

I know that I should bring my passport with visa, travel insurance, tickets and invitation. Did I miss out anything?

About travel insurance, saan pwede kumuha ng dummy travel insurance? Since hindi naman advisable na bumili hanggat di pa approve ang visa mo. I tried calling Blue Cross (Philippines) and sabi nila wala daw silang ganun. Sa kanila, it's either bibili ka or hindi, walang letter sila na binibigay na pwede mo ipresent sa embassy.

If sa travel agency naman, saan pwede? I dont plan to ask assistance from them since sa abroad ako mag-aapply ng visa.

About credit cards, if gagamitin ko sya as additional documents, pano ko sya iprepresent sa embassy? Photocopy ng card? Billing statement?

^Not necessarily as long as you have a means to support your stay i.e. on a travel tour or at someone's invitation your visa application shouldn't be a problem.

Wag mo na lang sabihin na maghahanap ka ng trabaho while on tour at baka hindi ka bigyan ng visa.

^You have time pa. Call to make an appointment as soon as possible. Upon interview and submission of documents it roughly takes 21 working days to process the visa.

^The first time I applied for a schengen visa, I only had an airline booking. Di ko pa sya binibili, booking lang. Same thing with the hotel, reservations lang. Ask help from a reputable travel agent, they would know what to do.

oooohhh thanks for the tip! our travel agent (marsman) already made a booking for us  will print that one na.
