I am been living here in Finland since November 2005.

Anyway, I have another concern. How do we get that booking certificate from an airline. 'Coz I don't know how get it without paying for the whole amount. The embassy requires that we present the certificate but of course, we should not spend for the ticket before the visa gets approved.

Can anybody help me here?

^sis check with any travel agent they can help you. You don't have to pay anything yet when requesting for an airline booking.

Uhmm.. Hi everyone! I have a question.. Do we have to buy a travel insurance even if we have no assurance yet that our visa will get approved? (It's one of the requirements in the embassy)

If it's a requirement then you have to buy one. In both my experiences though (Austria 2006 and France 2008) to follow na lang yung travel insurance namin. I just showed the embassy staff the travel insurance upon claiming of our passport.

^ there's always a chance sis.. most especially that you have a reason to come back (school)

anyway... failure is when you expect to get what you want without doing anything... in other words, apply lang sis Who knows?

He just needs to prove that he can support both of you during the trip.  So he needs to send a faxed letter to you and you need to attach it with the application form.

In my opinion, it depends on your point of entry.   Some embassies are stricter.

All are equally counterchecking requirements.  The point is you should apply in the embassy of your fisrt point of entry.

sis, you can't choose ... you have to get your visa from the embassy of the first country you're going to (your point of entry) ...

There are two ways to determine what embassy to apply for your Schengen visa when visiting several countries:

1.) Port of entry. Applicable if no main destination in one's itinerary or equal number of days will be spent in countries to be visited.
2.) Main destination. Applicable if one will be spending most number of nights in one country as compared to other countries to be visited.

A friend is inviting me to go to Finland, the problem is he is still a student, pwede ba sya mag-provide sa akin ng letter of invitation? Wala naman kase syang work as his source of income.

If ever, pwede kaya na ang Mommy nya na nurse na lang ang gumawa ng letter of invitation?

Lastly, kinoconsider ba ang letter of invitation even hindi kami blood related, like family friend lang kami?

^Best to have his Mom write the letter of invitation at sya ang may source of income to support your stay. No problem also maski hindi kayo related.

Hi!

I am from Finland and I advice that your mom´s friend makes the letter and state in the letter that:

1. She is willing to house you and feed you.
2. You are close family friends. 

Yun lang.   Okay na.

You can pero sa totoo lang mas suspicious ata na for example you choose Lithuania as point of entry eh gusto niyo pala magliwaliw sa Spain.  Parang the more honest you are about your itinerary, the better.
