Anybody who applied a Schengen Visa who's currently in Dubai? How was it?

Ang weird ng interview, yung kasabay ko, ang tagal ng interview, ako yata 1 minute lang.  Pero yung kasabay ko, I think she's going to visit her in-laws, pero ako naman, OB ang reason for travel ko.

I don't know how your experiences were, but in my case, we had to book the flight before I submitted my application.

If the embassy got my passport after the CI and interview, possible pa din ba na i-reject ang application ko for the visa?

SOP nila to collect the passport so regardless of whether they approve you or not, they will get it.

Your chances depend on the country you are going to and the work you do.

^sis, depends on the embassy yung pag collect ng passport. When I applied with the Austrian embassy way back in 2006, they got my passport.
This year when I applied at the French embassy, they did not. They just gave us a receipt that we paid for the visa and they told us to come back on a certain date/time with our passports. When we went back that was the time they affixed our visas to our passports.

i applied for germany.  training.  may invitation letter, etc.  sa pagkakaalam ko, wala pa na reject ng visa sa company namin.  nakakahiya pag na reject ako huhuhu.

dagdag suggestion, in my old job i did endorsement letters for clients needing schengen visas.

an endorsement letter from your company can also help or kahit personal mo pwede rin.  state lang your point of entry and the dates you'll be traveling, if your travel plans are all set indicate hotel names rin or  places you'll be staying  and reason for travel. sometimes we write lang the countries theyll be going to.

it was just a simple standard letter lang that played with minsan. and then show up lang at any embassy of the country you'll be visiting or schedule an appointment sa point of entry mo....unless kung strict sila now na dapat sa point of entry ka lang mag aapply ng schengen visa.

i do this rin for my sister sa europe trips nya nakatulong naman.

Regarding the letter of invitation, ok lang ba na plain letter lang with the signature of the sponsor? Kasi may nabasa ako na kelangan pa notarized by the city state council. My Schengen Interview is this thursday na, problem yun kung kelangan pa ipanotarize sa kanila. =(

^sis the letter of invitation should be notarized, with the official seal of the city state council. otherwise there's a big chance na hindi iaccept yun as an official document/letter of invitation.

^^sis, your sponsor should pick this invitation in his own city/municipal hall. He will need to show his latest salary slip to show that he can really afford to invite someone. The form costs around 6 euros (if I am not mistaken).

Perhaps you can ask your sponsor to fax it to the embassy where your interview is?

mga sis my sister and wants to join a locally organized tour group to europe..march 10 na interview for visa sa french embassy..ang purpose ko is as tourist..ang papers ko to submit ay un empoyment cert,bank cert.(pang show money) any ideas kung ano ba usually mga tanong sa interview? un show money ko,hiniram ko lang un..questionin kya nila kung super malaki un money if bank employee lang ako?or pwede ko ba sabihin pamana sa akin yon?hehe .will it help na malaman nla na im traveling with my sister? sabay ba kami sa interview?or kanya kanya kami?

mahaba pa ang pilahan sa french embassy? if ever ilang araw ko ba malalaman kung approved?advance ba malalaman?kc mamaya pag labas nun,almost time to go na nun tour(april03)tapos denied pala..tapos naka empake na ako't lahat..dyahe naman diba...hehe tnx..

sisses question, ok lang ba  sa manila kumuha ng insurance coverage then sa iba ako mag apply for visa? i'm currently staying kasi here in dubai and its easier for us to get the visa here. possible kaya yun?

^sis, you can always ask the insurance company kung papayag sila na origin mo is not Manila. Otherwise, get your travel insurance there na lang. Mura lang naman ang premium.

^sis, sorry my agent is out of the country at the moment. But you can ask any travel agency kasama sa services nila yan.

I've tried both Blue Cross and Philam AIG travel insurance. The premium would depend on the length of travel and the destination. May konting kamahalan sa Europe. Just to give you an example, my travel insurance last year for a month in the US cost me less than Php1,000 at Blue Cross. While my 10 days in Europe cost me almost the same amount.

ang tagal ng pila sa french embassy nung pumunta kami..8am andun na kami,til 12:30 na kami natapos...hehe..ang serious looking un mga consul..3 of them are filipino..kaya marunong sila mg tagalog...sna naman na approved ang visa namin
