I have a Philippine passport as well and I have received visas for Egypt, Poland, Lithuania, India from Finland.  As long as you have a residence permit in your country of residence (whether temporary or permanent), they would accept your application.

However, if for example, you were a tourist in Denmark and you applied for a US visa there, most likely you will not be entertained there UNLESS your visit to the US is supported by a company/consulate/official organization and they have pre-arranged your consulate visit.

Yup, it's because I am not a permanent resident of Australia, I was just there to take up a course. I guess that was the reason why they can't accept my application.

That's because Resident ka na ng Holland sis. Same din sa kin. Resident ako ng UK pero Philippine Passport Holder. I applied in London. Na approve naman. Saka if you are married to an EU national, you don't need to pay for the visa fees.

Hays, ang dami talagang hassle kapag filipino passport ang hawak. Like one time, we were in the Malaga, Spain. We wanted to go to Gibraltar, naku, hindi ako pinapasok kasi wala akong UK visa. Kaya naman ako kumuha na ng Dutch Passport.

^ Yeah. Since UK territory ang Gibraltar kaya kailangan ng UK Visa. Tama ka sis, minsan hassle talaga pag Filipino Passport holder ka.

Pag ibang National na kukuha ng Schengen or any visa in particular, 2-3 days release agad. Since ang Philippines kasama sa Terrorist Country List, it takes 4 weeks or more ang processing.

Sis you have a Dutch passport na di ba, did you retain your Filipino Passport ba? Dual citizen ka ba? Curious lang ako. 2 years pa bago ako makakuha ng UK Passport.

Hindi talaga ma a approve kasi, hindi ako nag apply, inquiry lang yung ginawa ko. At least the Finnish embassy in Australia replied to my email. The Finnish embassy in the Philippines never replied. Ewan ko kung bakit, inis nga ako eh. Pero nag apply na lang ako nung bumalik na ko sa Philippines  from Australia. I got a single entry visa.

Mga Sis, help naman po. I am planning to go to Portugal summer next year. Di ko alam kung meron ba Portugal embassy dito. Sabi nila nagsara na daw. Kailangan po ba pumunta pa ako ng Portugal Emabssy sa Singapore  to apply for a tourist visa? Kung meron man agency, can you please refer me to them? TIA!

No sis, di ko ni-retain. Pero considered as a sort of dual-citizen kasi pwede pa rin akong pumasok ng pilipinas without visa. And pag kasama ako ng family ko, they can stay up to max. of 1 year.

@doriemee - sis, why don't you apply at the Spanish embassy instead or at any of the Schengen countries? Make sure lang you include them in your itinerary. Schengen countries are the ff:
Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Iceland, Italy, Greece, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, Spain and Sweden.

mga sis question.  yung nakalagay sa visa (spanish embassy galing) from oct 24 to nov 3 valid for 15 days (business kasi yung purpose).  kaya lang if you look at the dates specified sa visa 10 days lang yun.

ibig ba sabihin na you are allowed to enter any country in europe within the 24th to the 3rd and your stay is good for 15 days?

10 days lang yan. They (i.e. airport people) will look at the dates not anything else.

^^That's kinda confusing nga      I looked at my old visa (single entry) and eksakto talaga mga dates and the number of days allowed to stay. Di kaya typo?

For my new visa (multiple entry), validity is until 2012 and valid for a 90 day stay naman.

dati kasi nung 2000 yung binigay nila was may 12 to july 17 valid for 50 days and if you count it, yung dates indicated is more than 60 days.

My fiance is italian. I need advices and tips in applying italian visa. There is no fiance visa. I'll be having 2 months vacation this december at italy and will be going there for good on april,2008. So shall I apply for tourist visa instead? Below are my questions that I badly need an answer:

1. Is it hard to get tourist italian visa even i have invitation letter and bank warranty from my fiance?

2. How many days will it take for visa approval?

3. Will courier get my forms even I'm in the province? Which is faster, picking it up here in manila or province?

4. How much money should I have in the bank? travel pocket money?

5. Is there interview also?

^Tourist visas are really easy to get, in my opinion.

I got mine from Toronto and it's relatively easy than getting one in the Philippines. Alam mo naman yung mga consuls sa Pinas always on the look out for TNT candidates.

applying the schengen visa from italian embassy is not that easy even though you have a letter of invitation nowadays.  in fact we know lots of denied cases not just for filipinos but from other nationalities considering they have completed the requirements, letter of invitation and supporting documents from the sponsor.

with regards to my querry a while back.  ok na...validation dates is for you to enter any eu member country if you get multiple.  so mas impt na you stick with the # of days given to you by the embassy and not on the dates nof validity.
