Schengen Visa Application

Hi mga peeps.. Meron naba sa nyo nakakuha ng Schengen visa, issued dito sa Philippines? San embassy kayo apply? Any helpful tips how to secure one? Excited nko for a Euro tour, but am quite nervous sa interview? Mahigpit daw kasi mga embassies ngaun eh.

Get a travel agency since they can arrange the visas for you. I think you need to make a personal appearance at the French Embassy and the rest. The Italian Embassy is not as strict though. A US visa will greatly fast track your application

Years ago, I got mine from the Dutch Embassy. I had all the necessary papers so I didn't had any interview. Mabilis pa nga ang processing eh. My mom travelled 3 years ago and wala ring problema basta you have all the requirements. Kaya lang, mas mahirap na ngayon ang makipag-appointment. And going to the Dutch Embassy, hindi na lang basta-basta nagpapapasok sa loob. Strict na sila talaga.

thanks sis sa replies. I got an appoinment with the Dutch embassy. Btw ms maribeth, what kind of docs did u present? I got a business, what particular documents do I need to present aside from the bank documents?

Our travel agent arranged everything for us so appear na lang kami nung day of the interview. We got ours from the French Embassy. We have US visa so we didn't really encounter problems. Yung mga docs na dala namin: certification from our bank, certification from work/empployer, certification from the school of my kids (na talagang enrolled sila dun), our itenerary, travel insurance. Pero years ago na yung samin, siguro same procedure pa din naman.

got my schengen visa this year lang, coursed through our agent, we didn't have to make a personal appearance..

but for the swiss visa, we had to make an appearnce but it's just with a consul or something

Why don't you get information from the embassy of the EU country that you will visit? The requirements should be on their websites.

Got mine in Swedish embassy (that was my host country kase).  Mabilis lang naman at madali ang processing.  Nasa site din nila lahat ng info.

I got mine from the French embassy two months ago. Ok naman. Although sabi nila mas mabilis daw sa ibang embassy talaga.

Travel insurance is required sa lahat ng Schengen countries sis. We got ours from a travel agency. Most agencies offer Philam or Bluecross, pwede din mag walk in.

Regarding travel insurance, I availed of Philam's travel insurance thru a travel agent, years ago. It wasn't that expensive if you will compare it with Assist.

Philam's travel insurance was around 4.5k

Sis, got mine in a travel agency in Malate.  Very near the Malate church.  Yung Swagman.  Sila na rin nag-ayos ng passport ko.

Sa Swedish embassy kase, basta complete ang requirements, mabilis lang talaga ang processing.  A week or two lang ata.  Inabot lang ako ng kulang-kulang 2-weeks because late na nakarating yung notice saken.  Pero nung compute-in ko yung processing time, 1-week lang.

Just go to their site and you will find all the requirements. Pero if you have a letter of invitation, you don't need to show your bank statements.
