sis, ok naman [textspeak!] decision mo...ako nga rin eh graduate ng computer science kaya lang nabuntis ako kaya hindi ako nakapagaral ng caregiver baka nextyear kasi [textspeak!] mga relatives ko is willing talaga tulungan ako lalo ka na may kapatid ka pala dun...

share ko lang po:

1998 - my youngest sister migrated sa canada, canadian citizen na sya now.

2004 - my eldest sister felt na she wanted to go to canada, so ang naisip na way is mag enrol at mag aral sya ng caregiver course for six months, then my sister na nasa canada will help look for an employer duon.

aug 2004 to march 2005 - enrolled/ studied caregiver course  nag practicum at ojt din po sya - so tinapos nya po lahat ng dapat.

exacto my sister in canada got married and got pregnant during those times also - so ang naisip is sya na lang ang magiging employer ng sister ko - bale i hihire nya to take care of her baby (our pamangkin)

so eto po yung process nya:

EMPLOYER PART:

aug 2005 - my sister in canada gave birth

sept 2005 - she started posting/looking for a caregiver duon sa canada (dapat i po post mo pa sa newspaper) kasi sabi dapat ma justify mo why you need to hire a foreign caregiver, dapat you prove na you tried hiring there pero talagang wala.

oct 2005 - my sister in canada applied sa HRDC in Canada (about her need to get a foreign caregiver) 

Nov 2005 - na approve ng HRDC Canada yung hiring

EMPLOYEE PART:

Feb 2006 -  naglodge/submit ng papers nya yung sister ko dito sa embassy

Apr 2006 - received an acknowledgement letter from Embassy indicating her file number

Jan 2007 - asked to undergo SPEAK TEST

Jan 29, 2007 - nag SPEAK TEST sya, after 2 weeks

Feb 2007 - received a letter from embassy na she passed the Speak Test na and was asked na mag pa MEDICAL and submit T4 of employer

Feb 2007 - nag pa MEDICAL sya , and accdg dun sa clinic - ok daw lahat ng findings

March 2007 - submitted the T4 of employer to embassy

July 2007 - embassy called and she was asked to go to EMBASSY for INTERVIEW

July 26, 2007 - date of EMBASSY INTERVIEW

Today, August 2, 2007 - SHE RECEIVED HER WORKING VISA.
(the visa was delivered sa house)

mga sis may alam ba kayong agency na mag hi hire ng caregivers to canada. katatapos ko lang. ang problema ko dnt have any relatives abroad friends lang ng mom ko.

@kaibigan , just wait a little while since ( most ) applications were usually processed at least or w/in 2 years compare before na 3 years ang processing

HELP: pano malalaman if yung training center is accredited ng canadian embassy?

sis Lauren GT..thanks for the advice, actually that was what im planning to do..but for now, still seeking advice from people who has the same situation like us and did it successfully.. i think i cant take the risk of goin back home coz i know we nid to get re-entry visa right?..and it will take time..what if we cant get the re-entry visa anymore?...i think i was traumatize for the "long wait" experience i had while processing my papers before...i have another option...what if ill wait til i get my immigrant status then fly back to manila, get married...,come back [textspeak!]..change my status to married then sponsor my husband? [textspeak!] ya tink?

anybody who has the same situation like us? we need advice thanks!

btw, my working visa has a note which says" not valid for re-entry" ..thats why i have doubts of goin back to the phils...is ur visa multiple?

what you can do is come home, get married before your 2 year requirement for the permanent residence application is over and then as soon as you get back, update mo ang embassy that you changed your status and would include your now husband in your records. As soon as you finish your 2 year requirement, when you apply for your immigrant status, kasama mo na si hubby sa application as your legal spouse. you will then get your immigrant visas at the same time.  ganun ang gagawin namin ng fiance ko eh!

it's not a multiple entry visa. just single entry BUT you can reapply for a re-entry visa before leaving Canada, if you're not comfortable applying for one in the Philippines. And personally, i know of 2 people who went back to the Philippines after only 1 year of staying here in Canada with a working visa (live-in caregiver). but if you have doubts about it, the best thing to do is call immigration and ask.

the option of sponsoring your husband AFTER you get your Permanent Residency status is good too. If you don't mind the extra waiting time that would require.  it's really your choice

We're really planning to get a caregiver from the phils for our baby, ano-ano pa ba ang requirements, meron bangg kailangan na certain family income to be able to qualify, also, kailangan ba na may sariling bahay na yng mag-iisponsor? Salamat po...

accidentally i opened this site pls help me [textspeak!]...& i think this site can help me... i read a lot about caregiver interview... can u help me f [textspeak!] interview s caregiver kc my speak test ako n read [textspeak!]... [textspeak!] yon? panu & [textspeak!] kind of question ask don? same din b yon with the tesda exam? para din daw ielts... pls i really appreaciate f u could help me. im getting nervous hehe.... as of now la pa me n receive n letter fr the embassy i submitted last nov 06 then received a letter/ file # last feb but till now i didnt get any reply...

WE HAVE THE SAME CASE,,I LODGED MY DOCS LAST NOV 06 AND RECIEVED FILE NUMBER ON FEB 07,,UNTIL NOW,NO NEW YET..THEY SAY SPEAK TEST ARE MADE UP OF THE TOPICS THAT WE HAVE LARNED THRU OUR CAREGIVING COURSE..OTHERS ARE SAYING THAT IT IS ALSO  MADE UP OF PRACTICAL OR DAILY CASES THAT ARE HAPPENING IN OUR DAILY LIVES..IN OTHER WORDS,,WE SHOULD KNOW WHAT TO DO OR TO FUNCTION INDEPENDENTLY IN A HOUSEHOLD SETTING..ONE MORE THING,,THIS IS WHERE THEY OBSERVE OUR PROFICIENCY IN ENGLISH,,IF HOW PROFICIENT WE ARE...THAT'S ALL I KNOW!!""HAPPY WAITING""TOO!!
