ano na balita sa papers nyo? sa akin wala pa din eh.  Following the timeline ng ibang applicants, it takes, 8 to 10 months para makatanggap ka ulit ng instruction for interview. nakakakaba habang tumatagal no?

Kaibigan, yes I did advertise in the newspaper locally first before I went through the agency. That's what the agency told me to do to prove that I can't find the right person from the local ad. Yung agency na nagprocess ng papers sa immigration. Do you know how long it will take to get the LMO from immigration? I just started processing the papers last July.

What do you mean pini-pick up na ng couier ang documents? Is it from your house that the courier will pick up the documents?

 i think the LMO will be coming out from the HRDC,,not immigration??am not just sure..i guess about 2 months the LMO should be ready..yeah they pick up now the documents,your bro will call the canadian embassy hotline (mahal daw tawag dun e) kung san pipik apin yung mga papers nya..di ko din alam yung hotline nila,,kasi i lodged my docs at the embassy's drop box.
where in canada are you? im bound for calgary, alberta pag ok na lahat..in God's time..

Mga sis, i need your advice po. kasi nag sponsor ako ng friend ko sa pinas as caregiver, ang kaso wala syang caregiver course. graduate sya ng educcation and 10 yrs ang experience nya in teaching (elem). sa tingin nyo magkaka-problema kaya sya sa papel nya? or hanapan pa kaya sya ng course nya? ano po ang maipapayo nyo?

if you have read my posts almost same din ng time frame yung sa sister ko 2005 nag start application processing ng employer then last august 2007 nya rin lang nakuha visa nya.

and sis bwize - after matapos ng bother mo caregiver course nya - dapat meron din syang mag OJT at experiences na certificates isasama nya sa application nya.
pero tama si sis kaibigan asikasuhin mo na yung part mo as employer syan sa canada yugn mga requirements like posting ads sa newspaper, justification why do you need to hire a caregiver outside canada etc - may guidelines po iyon check mo sa website

Super helpful nung post mo re: Immigration kase hindi ni-declare ng mom ko na daughter nya yung sister ko sa baka magkaron ng problem.  Scary naman pala yun. 

I'll tell my sister ano dapat i-expect.  And I also heard na once you get your VISA dapat makaalis ka na kaagad 'cause kapag nagtagal, pwede ka i-deny ng Immigration officer.

siw bwize - bale kasi as employer sa HRDC ka dyan sa canada mag aaply na gusto mo mag hire ng caregiver overseas then i aassess nila application mo if ma ga grant yung request mo na pwede ka nang mag hire ng caregiver overseas (you also need to follow if ano ano ang requirements nila) then pag lumabas yung approval nila alam ko may paper yun eh (forgot ko lang ano tawag) ipapadala mo yata yun dito sa philippines sa brother mo tsaka lang sya pwede mag lodge ng application nya sa embassy dito sa phils , dapat kumpleto na rin yung papers ng brothers mo in his part like certifications, documents etc) then tska sya tatawag sa call center sa immigration hotline para mag send ng courier na mag pi pick up ng docs nya.

bale sa sister ko oct 2005 sya nag apply sa HRDC then nov 2005 lumabas na agad approval to hire foreign caregiver so 1 month processing lang.

i think masasayang lang time and effort mo sis, kasi wala namang caregiver course yung friend mo - malabo yun ? eh kung yung iba ngang may caregiver course, certificates, ojt etc etc na de deny pa - what more if wala kang caregiver course.

i think BASIC Requirement yun - kasi if i remember it right yung sister ko during her SPEAK TEST and face to face interview - questions asked are based sa mga napag aralan sa caregiver course.

oo sis dapat consistent ang sagot ng mom mo as employer and your sister as employee, if hindi dineclare ni mom mo na daughter nya ang i-eemploy nya dapat careful sa mga isasagot ng immigration officer dun sa canada sa time ng arrival ng sister mo dun (sabi dapat daw formal- laging i aadress na "im her employer") baka magkamali at masabi na daughter nya eh tapos di nakalagay sa application.

i wonder lang...kasi i saw a questionnaire coming from canadian embassy before na pina fill up sa employer AS SUPPLEMENTARY INFORMATION -

may question kasi dun na " ARE YOU RELATED TO YOUR PROSPECTIVE CAREGIVER? IF YES, WHAT IS THE RELATIONSHIP?" so whatever sinagot ng mom mo dapat panindigan nila yun

you know what sis,you may want to call the embassy ang ask yourself. kasi ang alam ko, yung mga midwife and nurses hindi na kelangan ng Caregiver Course certificate because their job is 'similar' to what they will be doing here. what more yung teacher who takes care of kids talaga at school di ba? my mom works at a daycare (Kids and Co.) and she has colleagues who were teachers back home who came here to Canada as live-in caregivers. Try and find out please. we don't want to rob you the chance of helping your friend back home and your friend naman of coming here di ba? call and confirm.

hello mga sis it's been awhile  i just finished a nursing aid course but i still need to be certified by taking oral & written exam, hassle anoh? before daw wala naman ganyan dito sa usa basta matapos mo lang yung course at ma-meet ang clinical hours na they required okey kana well i could still work by showing my school certificate pero hindi ganun kalaki suweldo wow!!! may leveling ang suweldo unlike if certified mas big pay siya... anyway mga sis share your experience naman so yun lang... i guess i have to read my textbook ang review 25skills in preparation on my oral exam, madali lang kung mag-aaral dibah... so wish me luck mga sis

hello..nag submit ako ng papers sa embassy sept 18 then yesterday oct 8 dumating ang acknowledgement receipt ko and nakalagay doon 12 to 18 months nga daw ang processing ..grabe ang tagal pala noh?

akala po pa naman madali na lang ngayon compared noong mga 2 yrs ago na sobrang tagal. y kaya sobrang tagal sa atin?
sabi ko sa friend ko mag HK na lang sya para madali kasi doon in 1 yr ay wala ng interview chuba-chuba then andito na in 3 mos.

Read an article in a local newspaper here that the wait for processing of caregiver papers can take longer in different countries bec of the bulk of application. According to the article, in the Phils, there has been an outstanding number of caregiver and skilled workers applicant thats why the embassy is hard up in coping with the backlog.

re hk , merong interview but as a usual procedure nothing special    yung HRDC lg naman yung matagal i processed sa canada but once you received that after a week and as long as your papers in order ,  the canadian embassy will give you your visa  mind you , they're not strict here and most of them were nice , thank God for the chinese  ot  compare to those employees in OUR phil consulate here , they're not matapobre

Hi, its me again. I read this in CIC website on how to obtain the work permit (see below)

I'm the one sponsoring my brother to work for me as caregiver. Does he need to show any financial proof when he gets his interview in the future? Kelangan ba meron din show money? Around how much money should my brother has to show?

You must also do the following:

Satisfy a visa officer that you will leave Canada at the end of your work permit.
Show that you have enough money to support yourself and your family while you are in Canada.
Respect the law and have no criminal record. (You may have to provide a police clearance certificate. See Have a medical exam or criminal check done in the Quick Find section on the right-hand side of the page.)
Show that you are not a risk to the security of Canada.
Be in good health. (You may have to have a medical examination.)
