Can photoshop blur the background of a photo like it was taken on a DSLR camera? Like one part is focused and the rest is blurred?

^yes, what I do is select the subject (with either the wand, lasso, or pen tools, depending on the picture) then invese selection so that now it's the background that's selected. Then I use the gaussian blur so that the background would blur.

hi mga sis and bro! very quick question lang po. any suggestions on what tool i could use to extract a subject from the photo? i'm not sure po kasi if i should use the pen or lasso tool. and any additional tips when extracting subjects from photos? TIA po!

There's another plugin from www.ononesoftwarecom , the Mask Pro. But mas like ko original filter ng photoshop which is extract nga kasi mas  maganda result ng ginagawa ko. Well, sanayan lang siguro talaga. Hope na nakatulong ako...

being a mum, it frustrates me to have nice LAYOUT IDEAS especially during our kid's party preps. i have to shell out big bulk just for the layout...i am expecting our 2nd baby and as early as now i wanna learn how to maximize adobe ps for my kids' parties...

please share your tips for the clueless (and outdated) mums like me who wants to 'empower' ourselves and become independent  on this matter and make our future kids and loved ones' parties more special (with these labor of love)...

how to teach ourselves do adobe and other layout softwares (for tarp, invites, giveaways etc.) ? can we download it free on th web? i'm sure many of our sisses here will benefit on those infos...many thanks in advance!

ano po ba dapat na version sa isang begginer???gusto ko po matutunan gumawa ng layout ng invitation at tarp.thanks po

^ for begginers try photoshop cs instead.
dyan ka muna sa mas mababa then kapag alam na alam mo na, try cs2 or cs3.

yes, you can try selecting the areas na ndi mo ib-blur, try the magic wand (if the main subject's color is completely diff from the background)
or the pen tool,
then select inverse,
then for more realistic images, try feathering it first, kahit mga 2-5
then blur, motion blur is better,
