powerbooks or national bookstore

sana tama na dito ko post to.  saan po ba mas mura [textspeak!] mga books... powerbooks or national bookstore?

same owners. but powerbooks is a specialty store for books (wide range) only as opposed to national bookstore which also caters to all office/school supplies and everything.

i wonder why though that some books are really priced higher in powerbooks than those in national. hehe.

i like scanning books in powerbooks. if i decided that i want to buy it, i'll go to national (kuripot ako!). but sometimes wala talaga sa national so balik powerbooks.

i love powerbooks, especially their flagship store in greenbelt! last week i spent the whole afternoon there!

^^same here! pbooks for novels while national bookstore for supplies.  Medyo hindi ko na nga nagagamit ngayon [textspeak!] laking national card ko dahil s powerbooks and fully booked.

i'm beginning to love Powerbooks only because you can open the book and browse through it (actually, you can read it pa nga may upuan pa sa megamall branch.

same here. i love spending time at powerbooks gbelt. nung wala pang gbelt branch, sa mega ako parati...and i finished reading tuesdays with morrie inside the store. kung may time lang ako matatapos ko ren basahin yung ibang books eh. hehe.

and it's a good thing na may java man inside powerbooks stores

Teka lang, sis diba nakakahiya when you read a book there for like two hours tapos di ka naman bibili? may gusto kasi akong tapusin na book eh. medyo nahihiya lang ako mag-stay for more than 30 mins. reading it tapos di man lang ako bibili.

The last time kasi, may binili naman ako.

sis,  hindi sya nakakahiya. there was an article about powerbooks that came out years ago (when they were only starting), and according to the manager, they allow people to read books even if they won't buy anything because this will encourage them to read more. people can read to their heart's content. so there's no such thing as "overstaying" sa kanila.

besides, i don't think mapapansin nila (staff) that you've been there for a long time. it's not like they will keep an eye on you. and if they do mind, somehow they will let you know...but they don't mind at all naman eh   actually, sa ibang customers lang ako mahihiya kung sakali....kasi pag wala na silang maupuan and they also want to read, dun na ako tatayo perhaps i'd still try to browse the book i'm holding but i'll give up my seat.

hmmm...if you want to finish a book and you really feel conscious staying there for a long time, maybe you can do installment reading nalang. pabalik balik ka (like everyday? hehe). nagawa ko na ren yun dati eh tambay ako ng powerbooks noon

if books tlaga ang hanap mo (not school supplies), better ang powerbooks. kasi mas organized sila... but if you want a one-stop shop for all your school and office supplies, mas ok ang national...

mahal kasi ng 10 pesos up yung books sa Powerbooks.
ewan ko ba kung bakit.... 


pero ang gusto ko nga lang sa Powerbooks e puwede akong makapagbasa dun ng book kahit ilang minuto pa. unlike sa NBS.

ay, thank you sis. ipagpapatuloy ko na ang pagbabasa ko ng "Goddess Rules" sa Powerbooks. 
I'm determined to finish that book although its really thick. whew! sana magawa ko ng tatlong balikan! mahal kasi, 649. I forgot thename of the author pa, pero kaaliw talaga sya.

national bookstore is.. well.. supplies lang.. and people there are not-so accommodating.. no offense!
