^yes to less eating out!
Ang laki ng tipid pag sa house lang kumakain and you cook everything. Yun nga lang sometimes when you factor in the time you allot para mag meal prep and stuff, nakakatamad haha.

Joining..

1. Bawasan ang utang ko sa parents ko (car loan)
2. Continue paying for hubby and mine's insurance
3. Start savings accounts of our newborn
4. Iset aside ang allowance ng parents ko
5. Avoid installment on CC.. pikit mata muna ang pang sho shopping ng gamit sa bahay. Focus muna on baby..

High Yield Savings Account, maybe CIMB? 4% annual sila unlike other banks. I have this through Gcash App.

Hi guys! I just saw this thread and I know it might be too late to share, but here goes:

1. increase our family's net worth by 240k by the end of the year
2. get term insurance

We are working with a 5-year financial plan which started in 2019. This works for us as we see a bigger picture of what we want to achieve and motivates us to work harder to reach our goals.

If there was anything that changed in our goals this year, that was to get purely health insurance for critical illness. Although our HMO covers critical illness, it's only good until I'm working for my current company. Aside from that, health insurance might be expensive when I get older if I decide to get it later. Good thing someone helped me realize this early on.

About the market going down, it was really a surprise to us. Good thing we had some extra cash to buy stocks at low prices. 😁

Hello!

For purely health insurance, maganda yung offer ni FWD na "Set for Health".  You can claim up to 3x ng coverage mo, provided the illnesses are from the different categories that FWD has set.  Aside from that, if the insured dies, makaka-claim pa rin sya nung full coverage nya, kahit na nag-claim na sya before nung 3x.  So ito talaga yung selling point ni FWD para sa akin, kasi sa ibang insurance companies offering health insurance, advance lang ang makukuha ng insured.

Just curious, since this is all about financial goals.. If you have an extra $10,000 in your bank account (dollar account), will you keep it on the bank? Why? And if not, saan siya dapat ilagay/iinvest and why? :)

It depends first kung fulfilled na yung mga buckets mo for diversification:
1. Can be your emergency fund - good place is CIMB coz the interest rate is 4%, higher and better than time deposit coz its liquid.
2. Can be for insurance, single pay vul is a good choice you earn plus you are insured
3. Keep it in the dollar account for forex naman if tumaas ang value ng dollar then malaki magagain mo once you convert to peso
4. Investments: stocks, MF, crowdfunding, etc.
5. Business
