2020 financial goals

my 2020 financial goals:

1.  stick to my budget
2.  build up my savings
3.  build my emergency fund
4.  make sure to deposit 500.00 monthly to my son's account
5.  continue paying for my son's manulife insurance (coz na-
lapse siya this year, bad mama
6.  save and do the 52 week money challenge
7.  continue paying my manulife insurance monthly
8.  continue paying my prulife insurance monthly
9.  lessen expenses
10. follow dave ramsey's baby steps - especially paying off all debts.
11. prioritize needs over wants

Hubby & I have zero debts/loans. Our #1 rule in life- ayoko ng utang.

My goal is to save 100k in my PH account by end of 2020.

1.) continue paying my govt mandated contributions as voluntary member (Im a full time mom based in AU).

SSS:  600/month or (7,200/year)
Philhealth:  275/month or (3,300/year)
PagIbig:  200/month or (2,400/year)

2.) after baby is born, will open a savings account for him. ($50)
1,700/month or 20,400/year.


3.) I dont plan to buy clothes/shoes for myself as currently I have more than enough. Hubby normally transfers money so will make sure part of it is untouchable haha.
7k/month or 48k/year.

I also plan to put my sss maternity pay to my account (about 30k).

Hubby has his own 2020 financial goals as hes the one paying for everything, good luck sa kanya, but we already planned our travels next year as a family: NZ, HK & PH. So hopefully hindi masyado magastos!

Ayoko ng utang kasi nakita ko yung struggles ng Ate ko paying their loans. 4 ata yun. How they ended up like that Im not sure but they have 2 kids who go to private school tapos minsan wala pa work asawa nya.

*Less travel this year since more on self-improvement ang main goal ko. 1 trip lang plan ko this year.

I got married last year and am expecting a baby next month (unplanned pregnancy) kaya medyo naubos ang savings ko at back to scratch ako.  I have a day job plus a writing hustle on the side. Yung husband ko rin is working full time. Plan ko rin ituloy yung pagpapautang para pandadag sa daily expenses. It?s kinda risky but nag work naman sya last year for me so Im taking a shot ulit this year pero maliit [textspeak!] na amount illabas ko. Nangangapa talaga kami ngayon kung paano iincorporate sa budget si baby once he?s out. But hopefully makapagdevelop kami ng budget and spending habits at mapataas pa monthly income namin this 2020.

Save 50-70% of my salary, depende pag may OT.  I'm still undecided whether to pay off my car loan or start investing.  By December 2020 ko na lang iisipin.

Nakapag-open na ako ng MP2, pero i need to print out and bring a copy of the form sa PagIbig. Ang useless ng online application LOL. Pupuntahan ko nalang siguro sa long weekend.

-may peso sense challenge ako uli pero yung 17k lang para mas mabilis matapos then uulitin ko nalang, ayaw ko na maghoard ng bills and coins ng matagal
-save pa din monthly sa savings account ko and sa account ng anak ko
-In a few months matatapos na loan ko sa SSS at magloan ako uli
-Pa-consolidate ko na din PagIbig contributions ko and magloan din ako (2008 pa ata last loan ko dun)

I am going to resign this year and my ultimate financial goal is to update all our balances since we are done with our car mortgage mag travel goals muna kami and then will make sure to have our savings updated and save to open for our business to open
