Hello, mommies!
Update lang. i just had my check up today. After nung IE, my OB said 1cm na ako. I might give birth na daw next week around Feb 3. Im super excited and anxious! Then may nireseta sya pampalambot ng cervix. Ask ko lang yung old-timers dito. Gaano usually kabilis progression ng dilation ninyo? We were hoping [textspeak!] na mga second week of feb pa lumabas si baby kasi we are still waiting for his father to come home from abroad. But yes, i know na madami talaga unexpected na nangyayari regarding sa timing ng pag labas ni baby. EDD ko pala is feb 25. Salamat!

Hi sis sa first child ko, 2 days before I gave birth, during routine check up, 1-2 cm dilated na ko. My ob told me that if I didn't give birth that same week, she'd have to admit me the next week.

Then come delivery day, 7.30am ako na-admit sa birthing room.
-- 11am, 5cm dilated and 100% effaced.
--1pm, 6cm dilated, -3 pelvic station, 2-3 mins contraction.
-- 5.30pm, 8cm dilated then ni rupture yung water bag ko.
-- 6.34pm I gave birth.

I still know the details kasi sinulat ko.

Generally, mas mabagal daw pag first child ang 1st stage of labor. This link might help https://americanpregnancy.org/labor-and-birth/first-stage-of-labor/.

Have a safe delivery...

We had another BPS last Friday + nag NST na din kase last Tuesday hindi ako nakapasok sa work dahil naninigas yung puson ko tapos nagka-sinat ako. Normally, nafifeel ko yung paninigas sa tummy mismo but not sa puson area, nakaka-praning! So just to be sure, nag NST na din kame. Normal naman, heartbeat is strong & steady and no contractions recorded.

Ibang iba kase sa 2D and kita mo talaga yung features niya.

May 37th week is February 23, I'm praying na sana wag maging leap year birthday ni baby, kawawa naman hehe.

Thank you @glamorosa_09!
Mag start ako mag take nung eveprim tomorrow, let?s see. I had a thick brown discharge kanina. My OB said dahil raw sa IE yun.

Hi,

I'm currently on my 37th week (rainbow baby) and we opted to have elective CS by Feb 1. Ang laki ng baby ko per ultrasound, around 3.8 kgs plus cloudy at may particles ang amniotic fluid ko at sabi ni OB baka daw poop ni baby kaya we decide to schedule the CS.

Dahil di ko naisip na ma CS ako, i just prepared essentials sa hospital bag ko. Tanong ko lang sa mga graduate na and may previous experience if i need to double my pack items since mas matagal ang hospital stay namin ni baby.

Thank you in advance mga mumshs.

I'm just curious.. Nag prepare kayo ng birth plan? Or do you plan to prepare one?

May na-draft nako hehe combination from sample na we received from our birth class and google hehe.

May categories pa kase yung sakin -- Privacy/Environment, Labor, Delivery, After Delivery, After Birth, Breastfeeding, etc. Baka kaya humaba hehe.

Dinagdag ko lang na no counting or coaching while pushing unless we ask for it.

- "No time limits on pushing"
- "I'd like to push when I feel the urge (maybe not with each contraction)"
- "I prefer to have an undefined, unhurried type of labor".

Parang given na siguro yun.

There was one na never daw kasi syang na-constipate kaya no idea sya.

Pag tumigil ang contraction during pushing stage, best bet mo ang cleansing breath, it will also allow you to rest. And then slowly mo ma-fifeel ang contraction again (hindi sya biglaan), so bwelo ka by deep inhaling and then push. Syempre mauubusan ka ng breath, and then as they say 45-90 seconds naglalast ang contraction. Kung 10 seconds yung first push mo, may ilang seconds pang natitira. What I'm aware of right now is that I have three breathing options in between pushing while contraction is going on -- (1)cleansing breath, (2) parang hyperventilating breath, and (3) the hee-hee-hoo-hoo. So plan ko, after one push, when I run out of breath, I will try two hee-hee-hoo-hoo breaths and then  push again, and then hee-hoo-hee-hoo again, hanggang mag subside contraction ko. That is, if all goes well, pag hindi ako nanghingi ng epidural.

^thank you!

Had a routine checkup today again. Mawawala kasi sya for a few days starting next weekend. Im 37 weeks and 2 days. Niresetahan nya ako ng Eveprim 3x a day nung 36 weeks and 5 days ako pampalambot daw ng cervix. Sabi nya if di pa rin mag start labor ko by Monday. Iaadmit na nya ako sa Tuesday then she used the term ?augmented labor?. Bale 38 weeks ako by then. Worried lang ako kasi based sa nabasa ko, parang too early pa to do that procedure. :( Ok naman kami both ni baby. Wala naman problema or any threat as of the moment.

Practise nga talaga and presence of mind kung kaya pa. That was the hardest stage for me, but fortunately the shortest. Pero grabe talaga yun. Sana hindi ko na maexperience yun.

Ang hirap pag aalis ang ob. Parang no choice naman. I'd be worried too dahil gusto ko rin ng spontaneous labor. Napa research tuloy ako sa augmented labor, first time to encounter it. Pero ginagamit yata sya sa spontaneous labor na mahina ang contraction and mabagal and progress.

I'll be 38 weeks na rin next week. My ob waits until 40 weeks bago mag-induce. I had my first child ng 39 weeks and 3 days. Hopefully magdecide nang lumabas itong bata before the 40th week. Gusto ko na sya maamoy.

^I remember watching a video about that nga! And then meron din nung J-breathing and moo breathing haha. This journey is so overwhelming!

First time ko din marinig yung augmented labor today eh at napa Google nga ako. Lol. Pero I told my OB na Id rather wait for nature to run its course muna bago ako magpa admit tutal mag 38 weeks pa lang ako and wala naman complications si baby. But praying for a safe and smooth normal delivery pa rin at sana wag mastress ang baby ko :( stressed na stressed na kasi ako the past days. Anyway, good luck sa atin! Praying for your safe labor and delivery too! :)

From what I've read and sa naturo during our birth prep class, if there's no medical reason na i-induce ka, eh hindi dapat? Kase dapat natural lang? Unless talaga may threat na to you and your baby.. Medyo madaya naman ata si OB dun? Pero siguro nga dahil aalis siya pero kung ok lang sa'yo na may possibility na iba ang magpaanak, then I suggest you tell your OB na you're having 2nd thoughts about this. And of all people, your OB should not be the one causing you stress.

On a lighter note, grabe ang Grand Baby Fair ha, haha! ;D

Hay totoo yan mumsht. I was crying in after nung checkup dahil sa stress. My baby and I are okay. Wala naman nakikitang complications. Anyway I texted her and told her na yung suggestion nya to induce me agad does not sit well with me. So ayun sabi nya in case mag labor na ako habang wala sya, ieendorse na lang nya ako sa reliever.

Re baby fair, pumunta rin kami. Grabe yung tao! Yung target lang talaga namin is yung car seat. Nakatipid kami siguro mga 1700 pesos hahaha. Pero parang di worth it bumili dun ng diapers kasi mas mura di hamak sa lazada and shoppee. Pero sulit yung Wow Bag no? Kahit na karamihan samplers laman hahaha.
