I think they?re hoping that the case be reopened and that Paco goes through re-trial which obviously won?t happen anymore because it was already ruled upon by the SC. Speaking of the Chiong sisters, may post sa FB claiming that the sisters are alive and may pictures pa but I read din na it was pointed out that it was the sibling?s wife yata.

Re: Chiong Sisters Case, pag binasa nyo yung buong case, though sobrang haba talaga, eh andun lang yung sagot sa mga questions na naisip nyo after watching the documentary.

1. Re: DNA issue, di na need nun kasi may positive identification from the family and yung fingerprints nya eh matched kay Marijoy. "Rusia testified that Josman instructed Rowen "to get rid" of Marijoy and that following such instruction, Rowen and Ariel pushed her into the deep ravine. Furthermore, Inspector Edgardo Lenizo, a fingerprint expert, testified that the fingerprints of the corpse matched those of Marijoy."

2: Re: Paco's alibi, yung mga witness na pinresent nya, contradicting yung claims. "With respect to Larra?aga's friends, the contradictions in their testimonies"

Example is yung professor nya na sabi eh umattend si paco ng lecture pero si paco mismo ang claim eh nagexam sya nung time na supposed eh umattend sya ng lecture. "Rowena Bautista, a teacher at the Center for Culinary Arts, Quezon City, testified that Larra?aga attended her lecture on Applied Mathematics on July 16, 1997 from 8:00 o'clock to 11:30 in the morning.This runs counter to Larra?aga's affidavit stating that on the said date, he took his mid-term examinations in the subject Fundamentals of Cookery from 8:00 o'clock in the morning to 3:30 o'clock in the afternoon."

 Yung sa logbook, may irregularity sa entries. "Larra?aga's 10:15 entry was written before the 10:05 entry which, in turn, was followed by a 10:25 entry. Not only that, the last entry at the prior page was 10:05. This renders the authenticity of the entries doubtful."

Yung hindi pinayagan yung pagpresent ng witnessess regarding dun sa wala sya sa list ng passengers, eto yung excerpt: "he did not produce any evidence to show the last time he went to Manila from Cebu prior to such crucial date. Xxx No less than four (4) witnesses for the prosecution identified him as one of the two men talking to Marijoy and Jacqueline on the night of July 16, 1997."

Hinila sya pabalik ng van then after nun, hinatid si Rusia near Ayala center. Di na nya alam yung nangyari after nun. "Upon Josman's order, Rowen and Ariel led Marijoy to the cliff and pushed her. After leaving Tan-awan, they taunted Jacqueline to run for her life. And when Rusia got off from the van near Ayala Center, the appellants jointly headed back to Cebu City."

His testimony was corroborated by disinterested persons kaya credible,  while yung alibi ni paco at witnessess nya eh puro friends and relatives.

I strongly suggest na basahin talaga yung mismong case decision. Ot lang, nakakapagod magcopy-paste lalo na kung cp lang gamit mo 😂

Re: why si Paco yung na pin down as suspect -- some speculations I read was because the Larranagas are part of the Osmena clan, who was at that time Erap's biggest presidency rival. The Chiongs are allegedly involved with Peter Lim who runs the biggest drug dealership then. Erap was also big on drug dealing then (and jueteng also if I remembered correctly) so people said protected ni Erap si Lim. The Chiong family had to have something to throw against Lito Osmena to taint his image for the presidency post. That way, protected pa rin ang business ni Lim and ultimately the Chiongs as well. That's what they said. Paco had quite a notorious reputation in Cebu (which the Larranagas didn't deny naman), he even had a previous complaint of harassing (and almost kidnapping) a 13 year old way before this Chiong case happened (Give up tomorrow didn't bother showing these things ano?). So he was quite an easy target.

Because of this Chiong case napabasa tuloy ako ng Vizconde case. Same sila ng defense eh, na Hubert was in the US the date the crime happened. Pero based sa nabasa ko mas strong ang evidences ni Hubert noon kesa dito kay Paco.

I also understand Mrs. Chiong since we all grieve differently naman talaga. What I don't get is she's considered Jacqueline dead all this time kahit walang body. She'd talk about her as if she's sure she's really gone for sure. Ewan ko lang ha, kahit ako nga na namatay dad ko until now I talk about him like he's still here. Much more pa kung wala namang proof na namatay talaga diba? Yun lang, it just baffles me na sure na sure syang wala na sya. Kasi tingin ko a regular person would never assume death ng family unless andyan talaga yung proof na wala na.

Kakaduda yung security guard kasi tinanong sya kung confident ba sya na the right people are in prison tapos sabi nya "not totally confident, ninety percent l think. It's bothering me too much". I'm still intrigued with this story. Sabi pa nila it was a trial by publicity. Grabe talaga ang media noon tapos may reenactment pa ng mga actors while the trial is ongoing.

Done watching Jacqueline Comes Home. It should Thelma Going Home. Haha! I wanted to watch the movie para maging fair at para di ako one sided. Napanood ko na rin naman ang Give Up Tomorrow. Nagbasa na rin ako ng maraming articles and videos ng mga news about that case to look on different angles. Syempre kaya talagang pinush ko to panoorin to weigh things between this movie as well as the docu kasi you know naman this case or story ay trending talaga sobra ngayon at talagang nakakapukaw ng atensyon kasi nakakalungkot at nakakagalit yung injustice sa bansa back then until now naman.

Naging kwento ni Thelma yung movie halos. Naging kwento ng isang ina. I thought kasi they will show talaga yung case ng Chiong Sisters especially kay Jacqueline kung san ba napunta kaso hindi. Kay Thelma talaga umikot ang story, yung mga pinagdaanan niya as a mother na nawalan ng dalawang anak na babae. Konti lang yung narration about the case. It's more of Thelma as a mother and Chiong 7 as the bad ones. Nilinis at ginawa nila maganda image ni Rusia ron na parang anghel sa grupo. Binago nila names ng Chiong 7 don, may "Sonny" (Paco) at "Jeff" (Josman) at ginawa talaga nilang sobrang salbahe nung mga taong sangkot. Yung sa movie imbes na Chiong 7 lang nahatulan gaya nung footage sa Give Up Tomorrow na live dati eh sa movie lagpas, parang 10 or more than pa yung nakapilang nahatulan. Pinandigan nila na si Paco ay di nag aaral sa Manila kundi talagang stalker ni Marijoy the whole time. Yung body identified agad don ng father pero sa nangyari talaga na napanood kong footage eh di nga makilala yung body na natagpuan. Btw, sa movie sa Tanauan natagpuan yung katawan. Di ko sure kung dan ba talaga natagpuan pero yun sabi sa movie, May hearsay about kung nasan bangkay ni Jacqueline, sa dagat or ilog siya tinapon. At iba pa.

Siguro kung di to based sa true story eh mafifeel ko yung story kaso may background na ako and ayun, wala talaga, di ako naconvince nung movie. I thought it's really about the Chiong sisters case kaso naging kwento siya ng isang ina.

Watch niyo na lang then kayo magweigh.

PS: Kahit naman ganto naging thinking ko sa movie at sa case, I just want to congratulate the casts of Jacqueline Comes Home. Galing umarte

Napaisip lang talaga ko sa ilang bagay:
1. Sa movie, si Paco umpisa pa lang talagang ginawa agad nila panget yung image then paano ipapaliwanag na sa movie eh matagal at lagi sinusundan ni Paco si Marijoy pero diba ng aaral siya sa Manila or QC? Sige let's say umuwi si Paco nung July 16 pero paano yung mga nakaraang araw na sinasabi nila sa movie na sinusundan ni Paco? Kasi ang term ay stalker talaga at kitang kita naman sa movie na nasa Cebu lang siya the whole time at di nagpuntang Manila. So meron siyang katawan sa Cebu na stalker ni Marijoy and katawan sa Manila para mag aral sa culinary arts school? Yung totoo.
2. Bakit pinakita ron na talagang sadista at talagang mga salbaheng tao sila Paco? Tsaka kung talagang di close ang Chiong kila Paco, paano nila nalaman yung ibang bagay gaya nung babaeng minahal ni Paco sa movie pero di siya minahal? Paano nila nalaman yung ganung bagay? Eh wala naman si Rusia sa eksena sa part ng movie. Diba? Nagtataka lang ako kung paano nila nadescribe yung Chiong 7 na ganung mga tao talaga eh di naman daw nila kilala personally yung mga yon.
3. Bakit ginawang good talaga si Rusia sa movie? What for? Pinalabas na sunud sunuran at good boy talaga siya at napipilitan pero sa totoong buhay eh marami siyang kaso. Ang ironic talaga eh.
4. Kung talagang kasama si Rusia the whole time, bakit di niya maituro kung san ba talaga si Jacqueline? Kung paano pinatay or nawala kasi sa movie, hearsay lang ng mga farmers kung san napunta.
5. Bakit kailangan pang isama si Judge Ocampo sa movie just to say na nagsuicide pero balak niya magretire ng 70 years old pero 67 siya that time. Naguluhan ako kung para saan yun.
6. Bakit di shinow don na dapat tetestify si Dionisio sa drug lord bago mawala daughters niya?
7. Bakit identified agad ng tatay ang body sa movie? Eh sa footage nung 1997 eh hindi nga makilala yung body pero nung kumuha ng finger prints, match daw sa doc na kung anuman.
8. Bakit walang DNA test na nangyari? Para maconfirm na anak ba talaga nila yung natagpuang bangkay. Siguro naman eh may ganun na that time naman diba?
9. Kung narape talaga yung natagpuang bangkay, bakit di sila kumuha ng samples sa vagina nung nakuhang body to match sa mga suspects, diba? Kung matched edi confirmed kaso wala namang gumuwa.
10. At the end, hearsay lang ng farmers kung san napunta si Jacqueline. Sabi ron ayaw daw nila sabihin kila Mrs. Chiong kasi baka madamay pero bakit nalaman sa movie? Gulo nung part na yun tsaka edi sana sinabi ni Rusia kung totoo. Kung talagang kasama siya, malamang maituturo niya or macoconfirm niya kung totoo nga ba sinasabi ng farmers.

Di ako kaisa sa mga nagpost na iboycott ang movie na ito dahil kahit papaano ay binigyan ko ng chance na maipaliwanang ng Chiong sisters or family ang nangyari kaso yun na nga...

Watch niyo if you want to confirm sa mga sinabi tsaka for sure may mga mapapansin kayong iba pa.

May 5 stages ang grief sa usaping medical.. so maybe si Mrs.Chiong eh nasa stage na ng "Acceptance".

Kanya kanyang stages yan.

Yung iba na hindi matanggap na patay na kamag anak eh nasa in "Denial" stage.

DABDA. = Denial, Anger, Bargaining, Depression, Acceptance.

It is not unusual na tanggapin na na patay ang isang mahal sa buhay kahit hindi pa nakikita ang katawan.

Kaya nga may mga cases na matagal ng akala eh patay, at tinanggap na, tapos malalaman na buhay pa pala.

Maybe, Mrs. Chiong felt it is much easier to move on kung i accept na niya and expect the worst scenario.

Grieving and Coping up eh subjective talaga.. Depende sa tao.

Re: Marijoy's body: her body was found 3-4 days after they went missing. So imagine a corpse laying on a mountainside exposed to the elements for 3 days, natural may decomposition and ravaging na yung cadaver. It shouldnt be a big deal if hindi nakilala at first ng family, sympre they are hoping nothing bad happened to their daughters tapos ayun may patay na. Mahirap tanggapin yun. Pero yung description sa clothes ni marijoy sa missing poster nya is exactly the same sa bangkay. Orange shirt and jeans, naalala ko pa yun.

Peter lim connection: kung totoo man na may kaso si peter lim and pinapatawag si mr.chiong, sana may maglabas ng court docs showing it as proof. Kasi for me parang hearsay lang sya, wala ako nakikitang evidence of this case at that time.

One of the actresses of Jacqueline Comes Home (Donnalyn Bartolome)  is now complaining about how the ending of the movie was kept from them and they didn't know how it was going to end. The movie turned out to be a focus on Mrs. Chiong and there was zero reveal on Jacqueline's whereabouts as they were lead to believe. Nafrustrate daw yung actress kasi she was defending the film and telling people it will finally reveal what happened to the missing girl (kasi yung source nila is the mother) and the movie turned out differently pala. I don't know if ploy din ito to get the people curious enough to check out the movie though.
