is taipei child friendly? husband and I are looking into different countries to travel with our kids. we're considering taiwan because the airfares are so cheap

May mga nakasabay naman kaming parents with kids sa trip namin and they were able to cope up naman.

Yung mga lakaran sa MTR nila parang i can compare to HK, so medyo yun lang ang challenge ng konti dahil may lakad na involved, although may mga ramps and elevators naman if you have strollers tapos very polite pa ang mga locals so pinagbibigyan ang mga may kids sa seats/pila. Syempre pag naka taxi or private van napaka easy and comfortable na.

Also they have restrooms bawat station nila so sa mga elderly and kids who need to pee palagi no worries naman. 

Sa pasyalan naman, basta wag lang umulan keri na rin. In short, be prepared for long walks.

I don't mind the long walks, child friendly facilities etc. but more on mga pambatang attractions.

Not so much on theme park kasi too small pa anak ko, more on Animals and mga pretend plays type.
sa nababsa ko merong zoo which is great kasi mahilig ang son ko sa mga animals.
Aside from that hinde ko na alam kung madami pang iba na matutuwa siya.

Yup they have the zoo, also the gondola/cable car ride, hot springs (if you're into that).  What they also have are large spaces parang park-like example Sun Yat Sen and Chang Kai Shek where free to run around ang kids, marami kaming nakitang family na nagre-relax. Meron din themed cafes and restos.

But honestly in my humble opinion, pang Tita/Tito ang Taiwan. Don't get me wrong ha. Maganda and marami pa syang ma-oofer and I'm sure there are a lot of things to do over there na hindi ko pa alam, pero parang mas ma-appreciate na ng grown ups, tipong more into sight seeing, nature trips and food trip kind of pasyalan.

Hi mga sisses. Just got back from our Taiwan trip. Sobrang hassle free ang tranport system nila. I wish the same will happen here. Sobrang accessible ang mga tourist spots nila. We arrived around 10:30 am, immigration took us 1 hour and then off to taipei na after. We availed pala yung pocket wifi and airport pick up from klook. After lunch we went to Chiang Kai Chek and Taipei 101. After that we checked in at Via hotel then night time we just explored Ximending. 2nd time we went to Maokong Gondola and Shillin Night Market. On our last day, we went to Taichung. Medyo magkakalayo ang tourist spots there but worth it naman. We were able to avail of the services of a Taiwanese driver for only 3500 NTD for more than 10 hours. His car can accomodate up to 6 persons. Driver is so accomodating and ayaw tumanggap ng tip. He just requested us to recommend his services to our friends. So mga sisses if you need a car and a driver in Taiwan, just pm me so I can give his contact details to you.

Missing Taiwan already. Bitin kasi 3 daya lang kami. Hope to be back soon.

Mahal ang taxi nila. Pero sobrang convenient ng mga trains and buses - once lang kame nag cab.

^Thanks sis. Dami ko kailangan research kasi, from accommodation to attractions. Madali lang din ba navigate transpo system sis? Hindi naman mala-Japan?

Next month na our trip to Taiwan and i want to stay sana until night sa Jiufen kaso limited yata transpo nila pabalik ng Taipei and mahal naman if dun pa mag-overnight. Anyone here who stayed in Jiufen until night and return to Taipei via commute? Musta po byahe? Sobrang hassle ba?

^we did. May buses naman na dumadaan kaso since super tourist-y nung Jiufen, ang dami nakapila kaya super tagal mag-aantay. January when we visited, sobrang lamig at di na namin kinaya mag-antay ng bus kaya nag-taxi na lang kami to the city. Keri lang naman yung taxi since 6 kami, onti lang difference kung magbus kami. Kailangan mo nga lang ng matinding haggling skills kasi napabawasan ko yung unang alok to 50%. Natatawa na nga yung mga Pilipino na katabi namin sa pila.

We'll be in Taipei 3rd week of Sept.  Baon kami ng umbrellas and light raincoats just to be safe.

Wow! Andami pala natin na pupunta ng Taiwan next month. I read na combination of summer and rainy season ang September. Let's bring umbrella na lang para pwede gamitin both under the sun and rain. 😊😊😊

^ yan din naisip ko, umbrella na may UV protection    lagi kasi ako nanonood ng Taiwan vlogs lately, napansin ko parang half day maaraw tas half naman umuulan. tinatantiya ko lang kasi gano kainit baka same lang satin yun init, di ko kasi sure kung ano damit babaunin ko. kung mag jeans ba ko o magshorts.

May I also suggest magdala ng raincoat (meron sa mga Daiso) or yung pocketable parka ng Uniqlo kaysa duon pa bibili mas mahal. Kasi nung kami pumunta ng May (spring ) medyo mababasa talaga pag payong lang. Imagine na lang yung mga ulan natin dito level.

oct. 7-10 kami sa taiwan. sa accuweather rainy sya,  talaga bang accurate yun? malamig or mainit kaya ng time na yun?tomorrow hotel din ako nag book through agoda pero wala palang breakfast yun, any other hotel recommendations within the area or okay naman na yung tomorrow hotel?  2 lang kami ni hubby.
Also advisable ba mag book na now pa lang sa klook iniisip ko kasi paano pag maulan, pwede ba yun ibook a day before pag andun na kami sa taiwan? thanks sa sasagot
