Nakakatuwa talaga, we were looking for a resto - Lin Dong Fang, di namen mahanap hanap yun pala nag change na ng place. Yung isang parang college student. He asked us, sabe lang nya "help? need help?" tapos he walked with us na lang to help us find the place, since hirap nga sya mag English. Di ko yun makakalimutan.

Tapos sa taxi, down to the last NTD isusukli talaga sayo.

I forgot to add, must buy ang Uma Hana bags, milk tea carrier, purses nila. Cute ng prints and ok na pasalubong din sya.  Marami sa Ximending, meron din sa Shilin. Sobrang bait nung sa Shilin na nabilhan ko ang laki ng discount na binigay kasi medyo naparami din ako ng bili, hehe.

Hi mga sisses. Just got back from our Taiwan trip. Sobrang hassle free ang tranport system nila. I wish the same will happen here. Sobrang accessible ang mga tourist spots nila. We arrived around 10:30 am, immigration took us 1 hour and then off to taipei na after. We availed pala yung pocket wifi and airport pick up from klook. After lunch we went to Chiang Kai Chek and Taipei 101. After that we checked in at Via hotel then night time we just explored Ximending. 2nd time we went to Maokong Gondola and Shillin Night Market. On our last day, we went to Taichung. Medyo magkakalayo ang tourist spots there but worth it naman. We were able to avail of the services of a Taiwanese driver for only 3500 NTD for more than 10 hours. His car can accomodate up to 6 persons. Driver is so accomodating and ayaw tumanggap ng tip. He just requested us to recommend his services to our friends. So mga sisses if you need a car and a driver in Taiwan, just pm me so I can give his contact details to you.

Missing Taiwan already. Bitin kasi 3 daya lang kami. Hope to be back soon.

^thank u sis! Nadala kc ako sa HOHO ng KL, ang traffic most of the places na pinuntahan, ang ending very limited na time namin sa Sultan's Palace, sa malayo na nagpa-pic dahil paalis na rin bus. Thank u sis again! 😊😊😊

Punta kami ni husband on the first week of August. Sana wala nang ulan! I'm drafting our itinerary and wondering if we should just rent a car to travel North or mas sulit if we book it sa Klook? We don't have int'l driver's license though.

You won't be able to rent if wala kayong intl driver's license/certificate. Unless, magrent kayo with driver. Mukhang okay din naman klook. Or DIY nyo. Masaya ding bonding yung maligaw minsan.

Recently in Taiwan under a group package tour. Very siksik ang itinerary, Day 1 pa lang ang dami na namin napuntahan. Day 1 - Tamsui Old Street, Tamsui Fishermans Wharf, Yangmingshan National Park, Shilin Night Market. Day 2- Shifen waterfalls, Shifen old street, Pingxi Sky Lantern, Yehliu Geopark, Duty Free Shopping. Day 3- DIY Pineapple cake, Ximending shopping are, CKS Memorial Hall, Jade Handicraft, Taipei 101. Great tour to have with friends. Tipid pa since kasama sa package namin yung breakfast, lunch, at dinner.  Kapagod but we had fun, to think na nasa P25k/pax lang yung tour package inclusive of airfare, hotel, tour, and meals. Definitely I would love to go back...

Help me naman to decide.

Im torn between booking Hotel Fun Linsen in Zhongshan and Tomorrow Hotel in Ximending:

Hotel Fun:
-Cheaper
-Far from the famous areas like Ximending
-Super late check-in, 5 PM
-Buffet breakfast included
-Near a small night market
-Near the MRT station

Tomorrow Hotel:
-Expensive than Hotel Fun
-Lively surrounding
-Not sure what time check-in
-Includes 70 NTD 711 voucher
-Near also in the MRT station

Budget is 10k or less for 5 nights stay.
Prefer ko is yung ala-TST in HK and Bukit Bintang in KL na vibe ng surroundings ng hotel. Yung tipong any time ka lumabas is may mga bukas pang shops. Yung kasama ko prefer yung may buffet breakfast. Puro positive reviews din kasi ang Hotel Fun. Feeling ko rin kasi na pag sa Hotel Fun kami, yung sulit ng buffet breakfast is mababawi ng pamasahe since medyo malayo (30 to 45 minutes) sa centro ng Taipei.

Also, what time normally nagsasara MRT nila?

^If mala-TST gusto mo, go for Tomorrow Hotel. Breakfast buffet is good pero nung andun kami, di din naman kami makapagtagal magbreakfast kasi maaga kami nagstastart ng tour(DIY).

^agree if you want TST vibe go for Tomorrow Hotel. Check in was around 2-3 p.m.  We arrived around 12 noon, pwedeng iwan ang bags then we went around Ximending to have lunch.  We actually stayed there last May and ang lively, pag baba mo andun na agad where the action is. Maganda pa dun may 7-11 for late night snacks, cravings, etc.  Katabi lang din yung Watson's na 24-hours bukas. Super lapit din sa MRT, mga 1-2 minute walk andun ka na. Sa renovated rooms nila kami pinag stay and very spacious yung room halos pwedeng mag tumbling ganon level luwag. Mababait pa yung staff, nagpa tawag kami sa Taipei 101 Starbucks to book a slot, and ginawa naman nila. Akala mo lang at first masungit pero very helpful naman.  For breakfast, hindi na namin inavail. We actually just went around Ximending early morning and had the best dumplings and onion pancake from a street vendor, bumili na lang kami sa 7-11 ng hot drinks.

I hope hindi maulan. Bring an umbrella to be safe. Last May super inulan kami, oh well spring naman kasi nun very unpredictable nung pumunta kami. We are thinking of going back just for the food.
