^^sis bluewingedangel, no need for reservation fee or downpayment. the payment is on the day of the tour itself, specifically at the end of the tour pag ihahatid na kayo ng driver back to Taipei main station.

^sis omneecka, sa hotel fun linsen kami nagstay. 3 minutes walk siya from the nearest mrt station. Others prefer accomodations near Ximending or Taipei main station pero for me as long as malapit sa mrt station keri na. May malapit din na 7 11 at poya sa hotel. And winner ang breakfast buffet nila! Masarap at madaming choices. Umaalis kami lagi ng busog. Naenjoy din ng mother ko ang free massage chair nila. 😊

^hi sis. your best bet is a hotel na malapit sa taipei main station. nagbook ako dati sa backpackers inn taipei pero kinancel ko din kase i chose yung hotel fun linsen. may private room din naman sa backpackers inn pero wala ata sila breakfast kaya pinili ko hotel fun. hehe

Eto ren yung goal ko before, but when I visited Taipei parang lahat malapit lang since super efficient ng transpo. Nag stay kame sa Hotel B6, located sa Wanhua District.

Doable to! Kasi nag gondola kame, tapos, nag Shilin night market pa kame after.

Hindi ko kabisado [textspeak!] mga stop pero may mga train pamphlets naman na makukuha sa stations madali na sundan, pero galing kaming Zoo nun e. Tapos yun umakyat kame ng matinde para dun sa terminal ng gondola ahaha, pero masaya naman! Tsaka may service na mga cart para di maglakad na.

Doable kaya ang yehliu geopark, houtong cat village and jiufen in 1 day?

kamusta weather sa Taiwan pag May? sobrang init na ba? Strict ba sila sa immigration? Planning to go there with my sister. Housewife ako and homebased work ng sister ko. Syempre may return ticket naman kami pero kabado pa rin ako lalo na't new passport gagamitin ko.

^May kakilala ako sis na nasa Taiwan ngayon. Maulan daw day before yesterday. Regarding immigration, wala naman masyado tinanong sa amin or dun sa kakilala ko. I think lenient na sila pagdating sa tourists based dun sa sinabi din nung Filipino driver namin sa Taiwan na matagal na naninirahan dun. Need daw ng Taiwan ang boost ng tourism kaya nga daw nag extend ng visa. Anyway you have your roundtrip ticket naman sis kaya I think you're good to go. Enjoy Taiwan sis!

Can anyone share itinerary for 6days, 5nights? Travelling to Taiwan on 30 July -04 Aug. Hoping and praying na maextend ang free visa.

Any affordable hotel/hostel recommendations, please.

went to Taipei last month, here's our ITI:

DAY  1 arrived at the airport around 9:30 AM, sobrang haba ng pila sa immigration then one hour pa yung travel to Taipei Main Station. nag train lang kami then near the MRT may nakita kaming coco, so first stop nag milk tea.
12pm we arrived in main station, we looked for our accommodation first (airbnb), left our luggages cause they are still cleaning the room and check-in is around 3pm.
since nasa taipei main station lang kami we explored the area and had lunch sa katabing mall.
3pm went back to the condo unit, refresh muna
5pm off to Ximen night market, we bought some nougats,etc, and we tried sa "popular" toilet restaurant

Day 2: day tour 4pax kami 3500NT
9am driver picked us up, we asked him where to exchange money since di kami nagpalit sa airport, he brought us to another airport
Yehliu Geopark, medyo mainit but that's ok to explore, 80NT entrance
Shifen old street, we had lunch first with our tour guide and he said that's the cleanest restaurant he knew hehe, we had xiao long bao and rice with  pork / soy
After lunch , sky lanter na. they will take you lots of photo in different angle of the lantern (we had fun here).
then we walked to Shifen waterfall, there's a hanging bridge before you reach the falls. The tour guide brought his dlsr and took us good photos.
Was tiring but fun. went back to the car for one hour travel I think, going to yin yang sea, then up all the way to gold eco park. Then Jiufen,we explored the market, and tried some food like ice cream with nuts, bought some nougats and nuts,.
before heading back home, he dropped us to the bilihan ng pasalubong, then nagrequest kami idaan kami sa pinoy shop RJsupermarket at may katabi which I forgot the name of the store. Then he dropped us home.
sobrang pagod sa kakalakad so nagdinner na lang kami sa taipei main station just few steps away from condo.

Day 3 we bought all day pass 150 NT
Tamshui
XinBeitou (hotspring)
Taipei 101
Sunyatsen
Longshan Temple

rest ng 2 hours sa condo
Shilin night market

Day 4
explored the shops in xhongshiao fuxing
8pm tour guide picked us up going to the airport

marami rin ibang magandang puntahan like chiang kai shek, daan park etc, napuntahan na kasi namin dati (my 4rth time to visit)[textspeak!] next time sa province naman but would definitely not going back soon, maybe after 5 yrs

Hello! My hubby and I just got back from our 5-day Taiwan trip. Umuulan nung time na pumunta kami and nag drop ang temperature, but that did not stop us from having fun.

So ayun nga nag drop ang temperature, we weren't prepared as in summer clothes ang dala namin. Good thing sa Ximending area kami nagstay at may malapit na Uniqlo kaya nakabili kami ng jackets and pants.  We stayed at Tomorrow Hotel, naswertehan namin sya kasi aside from being affordable and right smack in the Ximending area, just across the MRT din. The hotel is basic, good thing sa newly renovated floor kami, walang ref but downstairs may 7-11 naman.

Here is our itinerary, I hope maka tulong sa pag plan ninyo.

DAY 1 - arrival, purchased our HSR/MRT cards from Klook so no hassle
             - checked out the exits for Klook meeting place
            - Check in at Tomorrow Hotel is at 3 p.m.
            - Ximending area (bought jackets at Uniqlo)/rest/freshen up
            - Shilin Night Market

DAY 2 - purchased tour from Klook - Shifen/Jiufen/Yehliu
            - dinner at Ximending

DAY 3 - Chiang Kai-Shek
            - Taipei 101 Starbucks (make a reservation beforehand)
            - ATT 4 fun  Donguri Republic/shopping
            - Lunch at Din Tai Fung
            - Wufenpu (clothes shopping)
            - Raohe Night Market

DAY 4 - Joiner for Taichung - Flower farm, Xinshe Castle, Rainbow Village, Gaomei Wetlands
            - Carrefour for pasalubong (24 hour grocery)

DAY 5 - Longshan Temple
            - Bopiliao Old Street
            - Sun Yat Sen Memorial
            - Back to Ximending, Modern Toilet
            -Check out

Mga sis, yung joiner pala recommended ni sis Chinablue, search nyo and message sa FB si Joven Morcillas Embate, napakabait nung driver si Kuya Don. If nauna ko sana sila nakita baka sa kanila na rin ako kumuha ng northern travel namin. Sa Klook okay naman kaya lang masyadong rushed, sa joiner tamang tama lang.

We were expecting to go shopping ni hubby. Naghanda talaga kami for it kasi bihira lang ako mag shopping kaya lang expect nyo na mahal ang mga clothes as in mas mura dito sa atin, but if you want Korean fashion marami sila, expect to shell out 480-600++ NTD isang t-shirt pa lang, yung mga dress mas mahal. So nag splurge na lang ako sa food/grocery and skin care lalo na yung mga mask nila B1T1. Sa shoes naman, okay lang din but mura ang Birkenstock sa kanila for some reason.

Expect the unexpected, bring payong, light jacket and rain coat para di na kayo bibili dun kasi mahal, always check weather forecast din.

Just enjoy and food trip talaga mga sis kasi ang sarap sarap ng food nila, reco ko Xiao long bao, pork pepper buns, Taiwanese sausage, shaved peanut ice cream, chicken cutlets, squid, sushi/maki, milk tea, onion pancake, mochi, nougat, etc. etc.

P.S. Mga sis, if you plan on riding their MRT, please be aware of priority seats. Nakalaan sya for PWD, pregnant, elderly. Nakakahiya lang kasi na may nakikita kaming Pinoy na hindi aware. Hindi naman nagagalit ang mga locals, but still bisita tayo kaya we have to respect their ways. Also, tahimik sila sa MRT nila kaya tone down din ang kwentuhan natin. 

Napakabait ng mga locals, wala kaming na encounter na rude doon. Very polite and kahit hirap silang mag English pag tinanong  mo, they will go out of their way to help you. May isa nga doon, nagtawag pa talaga ng kakilala just to help us find our way kasi sa Taipei Main Station napakalawak, naligaw kami, hehe.

^super bait talaga ng mga Taiwanese compared sa mainlanders. Dati the bus driver helped us reach our destination kasi napansin nya na mali yung binabaan namin.
