reasonable weekly budget for groceries

Hello! Can you please enlighten me on what is a reasonable weekly budget for groceries for a family of 4 (2 adults 2 tweens). When i say groceries andito na po lahat - food, toiletries, food from wet market , pantry items, baon sa school, ganyan. I am trying to make do with a 2k weekly budget. minsan ok minsan sobrang hapit =(  we don't really eat out so sa bahay talaga halos lahat ng meals namin

Family of 3 (2 adults 1 baby) . I allot 6k a month pero napapsobra din lagi dun.

we will do  grocery once a month (toileteries, condiments, snacks, canned goods, kitchen supplies  laundry etc)
- 4 to 5k aabot yun (depende kung nagkasabay sabay naubos mga supplies sa bahay)

then wet market twice a month lang, 500 each punta. the fresh meat & veggies that we buy sa wet market good for 2 days lang ( for that weekend lang) tapos stock ng bawang, sibuyas etc.
usually yung weekend ng sahod, gala kami niyan so sa labas kakain.

Bihira pa ako magprepare ng food pag weekdays, kanya2x kami ni hubby  sa daily allowance namin yun kinukuha.

Not included dang milk ni baby.

eh pag napunta pa ng S&R or Landers, dagdag gastos! kaya medyo nagiiwas na ako this year

Sa Landmark naman cheapest para sakin.

Our groceries range from 3500-4000 every 2 weeks which includes chicken. Ang liit kase ng chicken sa wet market. I budget 1500 for the palengke every 2 weeks. Mostly, seafood lang binibili ko dito and veggies.

hi sis, yung 2k a week na groceries kasama na dun yung spending nyu sa wet market? And how many meals a day, dinner lang ba during weekdays? And 3 meals on weekends?

^hi sis yes kasama na, siguro at most we spend around 5k a month for everything. And hindi lang accounted dyan are yung toiletries and cleaning stuff namin kasi we buy those in bulk and since 2 adults lang kami sa bahay it takes us around 2-3 months to finish them, so hindi sya kasama sa regular spending. We buy everything sa wet market, including bigas, ang binibili na lang namin sa grocery are snacks, laundry stuff, and other random items. Stay out yung househelp namin so food lang ang gastos ko sa kanya. She comes in 3-4 days a week.

Sa palengke, usually, around Php1200-1500 good for 1.5-2 weeks na yan -- meat, veggies, condiments, eggs, everything, 3 meals/day. For breakfast and lunch, food is for me, my toddler, and our househelp. Then sa dinner, kasama husband ko. Sa work na nagbbreakfast and lunch si husband, so that's included sa daily allowance nya. Then the rest of the groceries, 800-1k, good for 2 weeks already. Usually snacks lang marami dyan.

Standard budget namin for 2 adults plus 1 toddler. 10k - 20k for foods pa lang di kasama ang toiletries kasi madalang naman kami bumili parang 2-3x a year since ang binibili namin madamihan or malakihan example 6bottles of body wash, 12pcs of soap, kahit sa gamit ni baby like wet tissue in box ang binibili namin lalo na kung ito talaga ang lagi namin ginagamit. Kapag may gusto ako itry na product sample size lang kinukuha ko. Mas malaking tipid. Hindi rin kami nakakalimot sa promo and discount coupons. Hindi rin kami nag kafocus sa isang grocery lang kung saan may rebates or promo dun kami bumibili buti na lang naka subscribe kami sa weekly issue ng promos (naka newspaper style) Sa lahat ng grocery store na malapit sa amin kaya nacocompare namin lahat ng prices.

Naku ako naman nagkasala nung umpisa ng pandemic.  Family of 5 - usual grocery namin every week is 5-6k lang, then nung start ng pandemic nasa 18k kami for 10 to 12 days worth of groceries na, then ng medyo nahimasmasan bumaba ng 10k, tsaka ko narealized na kaya ako umaabot ng ganon kalaki dahil sa facemasks, household cleaning items, nagpanic buying kasi ako and that time nasa 1,300 bawat isa 4 boxes ako sa magkasunod na grocery namin, si hubby kasi 3-4 times nagpapalit ng mask dahil sa nature ng work kaya ang bilis ng masks sa kanya then bili ako ng bili ng bigas tuwing labas, sandamak-mak na honey at cleaning items. Pero since last grocery namin mas better na basta goal ko is 7-8k ng 10days worth para lang hindi na masyadong naglalabas.

our usual budget na 10k/month for Groceries and Food naging x 3 ngayong pandemic,  since 7days/week na kami kumakain sa bahay unlike before na hinde naman ako nagluluto pag may pasok sa office then madalas dine out pa pag weekends.
Lugi lang ako kasi laki tipid ni hubby sa WFH nya (gas+parking+toll+food) eh ako sagot sa food at grocery namin, Unlimited dampot pa siya sa grocery lahat ng gusto niya go lang, ako nagbabayad yung natitipid ko sa WFH, kulang pa haha

yung samin lang to ni hubby plus mga snacks ng anak ko. Hiwalay pa yung gatas at diaper.
