^ thank you sis.

There are still times na miss ko na si married pakboy pero i have to get over him. Di lang siya lalaki sa mundong ito. Di ko pa nakikilala yung guy na may potential palitan siya pero it's better to be single kaysa pumatol ulit sa may sabit.  :-)

This thread is old, but anyway just want to share my thoughts about this. I had several committed men who tried to flirt with me for the past years. But never did I ever interpreted it as an affirmation that I am beautiful, wanted or desired. I actually thought something was wrong with me since bakit for some strange reason, these men tend to prey on me. I am not flirty, in fact I am an introvert. I was clinically diagnosed before as depressed but even so, this made me more angry about cheating husbands and pakboys. Maybe they see me as a weak person who could easily give in. But they were so wrong. I may be depressed but I am not desperate. Never did I entertain them. In my mind, to hell with them. If they cheat on their wives, what will guarantee they won't do the same thing to me as well? Plus I am a firm believer of Karma. Believe me, it's true what they say that "sooner or later we will take our turns being in the same position we once had someone else placed in." I've known people who reaped what they had sown only this time by tenfolds.

Now I am married and my husband whenever we have a discussion about cheating, my hubby said that these men tend to prey ladies who'd they think could easily give in. Not necessarily because they are attracted to them, or find them beautiful (remember the cliche talo ng malandi ang maganda?) but the knowledge that they could "f*ck" them without any attachment is such a plus point. Masarap daw tumikim ng iba ng walang kailangan ibargain. Why buy the whole cow when you can milk it? These insecure men would rather pick a rotten apple on the ground than to reach for the quality ones in the tree. Mas less effort daw.

However, men who are principled, these guys would try to reach for the best apples. And in order to attract men like these, you need to become the best version of yourself. Respect attracts respect. I overheard some inuman conversations ng mga guy friends before. Whenever they talk about the girl na type nila, alam nila somehow who is easy to get and yung matitino. In fact, pagpapasahan pa nila like "natikman mo na ba si ganito?" However kapag pinaguusapan yung matino and kagalang galang na girl lagi yung tone is "Uy pare, ibahin mo si ano, matinong babae yan. Hindi yang yung tipong magpapaloko and manloloko." I always observe a hint of respect from these men whenever they talk about these respectable ladies.

So there, to TS, just continue to be the best version of yourself. You will attract sooner or later a good man. Don't be desperate. Malakas ang pang-amoy ng mga pakboys. There is always a choice to take the higher road.

Ah, I was just thinking about something like that this morning.  Kung papipiliin ka, would you rather be desired (as in pantasya ng mga kalalakihan), respected (in admiration of your skills or status in life), or feared (yes, sinama ko ang feared, yung parang iron fisted ba) by men? Alam ko naman na pwedeng mag-overlap, but usually meron isa dyan sa tatlong traits na yan ang nangingibabaw. At this point in my life, parang more on respected with a mixture of being feared ang preference ko. When I was younger, I used to think that being desired equated to being loved or respected, but now I know that is not necessarily the case. Pero of course naiintindihan ko naman that a lot of women get the feeling of being cherished when they are desired and of course it's such an ego booster, and if that is what makes them happy at the end of the day, then why not. Kanya-kanyang choice lang naman yan sa buhay. Sorry if medyo OT, LOL.
