What's the worst money mistake you've made?

Inom, eating out and gimiks with fair weather friends. Medyo malaki rin pag pinagsama sama then na off track na ako sa financial goals ko.

Not getting a term insurance first. I already have and a critical illness plan, bought separately. My other mistake is sending balikbayan boxes and not saving and investing.

Now I only send, one or two small boxes and I'm investing in ETFs. Pati weed ETFs, isinama ko na sa portfolio. OK naman ang return pero sobrang volatile ang price. Hindi naman kalakihan ang fund kaya I'm ready whatever the outcome is.

2 years na yung utang ng friend ko, throughout the period pa-5k 5k lang hinihiram nya, tas sasabihin sa next sweldo. tapos pag sweldo na, ang katwiran kapos na sa budget so sa susunod nalang daw. Buti I keep track kahit papano. Though di naman kups nang todo si friend, kinausap nya naman ako nung September na try nya bayaran nang buo after makuha bonus nila. I hope mabayaran nya nga kasi pandagdag din sana namin sa budget for our baby na darating next year.

Buying things I don't necessarily need (impulse shopping - now I have clothes/other stuffs that I bought some years back that I still have not used till this day)
Not investing wisely money earned early on when I had the chance (buying stocks, rrsp, real estate property, ect)

Not really a mistake but I would rather put my money in real estate investments (or LT secure investments - stocks a bit unpredictable now) than in expensive watches, jewelries, luxury bags or expensive phones kasi all these do not appreciate and mostly will require an insurance (so may ongoing costs pa yun jewelries and watches) whereas ang RE nag appreciate. I'm not saying don't buy, just don't accumulate if it doesn't give you any joy, kundi mas maraming gastos. Ok na yun one or 2 watches, 1 LV bag - something to keep one happy but not too worried na manakaw or mawala. Recently I thought I lost my phone (which would have been the third one I lose in my lifetime) and but I wasn't sad about it kasi it's not an expensive brand.
