Hello!

I am a single mom. Kinasal ako at a young age of 19 years old. After 1 year, iniwan din kami nung tatay ng anak ko. After 3 years, naging kami ni Jay. 7 years na kami ni Jay. Mabait siya, mapagmahal, understanding, faithful, malambing, and sweet.

35 years old na si Jay, isang call center agent.

For the past 7 years, palagi kong sinusuportahan si Jay sa mga ginagawa niya.

Kumbaga, don't dwell on the problems. Solve them.

Please I need your advice/opinion.

Thank you so much! :)

^^ You sound annoyed and fed up, sorry po pero parang wala ka na nararamdaman pagmamahal sa kanya. I think you already know the answer sa question mo.

Sobrang same tayo ng situation before, attitude natin, nila, age gap, financial situation and that sobrang love and bait ng bf.

I recognized his strengths and weaknesses tapos helped him, not by giving money (nagawa ko na din yan hehe) but by changing his attitude towards money and life in general.

Nag-set kami ng monthly and yearly goals for his expenses, utang, and recreation tapos nka-tabulate ito sa papers that I posted sa wall.  We also have mason jars na naka-categorized para ma-reach yung goals niya/namin.  Lastly, I involved him sa pag-budget and grocery shopping (we calculate items.)

If you still have the patience and strength to help him with his weaknesses, wag mo muna bitawan sis.  Try to recognize the permanent solution sa problema niya/ninyo, at the same time mag-set ka din ng ultimatum na kapag wala pa din pagbabago e di goodbye na talaga.
Madalas, tulungan lang talaga yan .. teamwork kayo :)

@YourAunor you cannot change a man nor fall in love with his potential. Either you accept him for what he is now and stay or leave. His life is not yours to fix that is his job.

My ex, the father of my son got addicted to gambling. I stayed with him because i thought having a complete family is more important than money. The longer i stay the more i resented him to the point where i felt so much hatred for him. One day i just couldn't take it anymore i packed our bags (my son and i) and never looked back. Best decision i ever made.

7 years later i have a thriving mid size business, a house and an suv which i paid for in cash. Zero debt, a good and loving partner who's also equally successful. He's a vp of a multinational company. As for my ex?  He is working abroad, a sales agent, no house, no car, no savings, he offers to give 3k a month for my son because that's his only extra money. He cannot afford to give more. It's so sad actually.

My ex and i are the same age. He was so full of potential when i met him, he had big dreams too. He was only able to go abroad because his gf at that time helped him then they broke up and he chose to stay and work there.

Choose what is best for you and your child. It might be a selfish move but it's called self preservation. Don't stay coz you think it will get better. At the end of the day it's your life your choice. Choose wisely.

A big NO.

Marriage will just complicate everything (when it gets ugly in the future).

No. Mukhang alam mo naman sis ang sagot eh hehe, tama ka you need someone na makakatuwang sa buhay, a teammate, a partner at hindi isang alagain or someone who is dragging you down. Lalo at may anak ka. It is but right to think of your child's future first.

wala sa tagal yan. no matter how long you guys stayed together, if di naman kayo nagmature, nag-change for the better or di kayo nag-improve individually or as a couple, wala din mangyayari. the 7 years you had with him will be a reflection of what you guys will be in the future. kasi dapat nagimprove na sya nyan pero i guess he stayed the same and ikaw nagbago ka na kasi you're seeing things differently now. alam mo na sagot dyan.

I've been in the same situation 7 yrs ago. I was in a 6 year relationship and realized that as much I want to help my ex boyfriend "grow" with me, hindi talaga. At that time feeling ko din ginawa ko lahat ng kaya kong gawin para makaipon sya, or makatipid or magkawork or kumita, pero wala talaga.

Until I decided to move forward on my own and broke up with him.

Just a year after our break up, nagpakasal na sya. O di ba bongga, naunahan pako. Haha. Ako naman, I found someone na same wavelength ko, responsable, at madiskarte. We were together for 5 years before we got married last year.

No.

So for me, No. Unless magbago sya ng ugali at maging mas responsable sa pag gawa ng decision. Kahit yun man lang. Yung pagiging financially stable long shot yan pero ang importante nag sisimula na or may plano mag simula.

But you already broke up with him, right? Let go of him na. Don't expect him to change. Either you accept him as he is, or not.

^^I know right. Importante kaya ang pera sa relationship. If both of you are stable kasi, eh di hindi nyo na proproblemahin ang pera. Ang sarap kaya sa pakiramadam ng confident ka to run a household, all bills are paid, you get to enjoy things in life, secured ka that kids can go to good schools, etc.

tingin ko naman hindi siya financially unstable, baka financially illiterate lang. you CAN marry him, pero ikaw aako lahat ng financial decisions. pero kasi you mentioned na napapagod ka na magsolve ng financial problems niya ngayon pa lang.

As I sense it, you already have exerted all the effort to support him and that is so true hindi pwede adobohin ang pagmamahalan pag nagutom kayo. If you think and feel you have helped him enough, then for me you are right breaking up with him because when you are in a relationship both of you should grow and learn from each other, pero kung ikaw nag grow siya hindi then your relationship might not helping him, and you should teach him how life is without you baka mas matuto pa siya lalo. You love him that much that you know he will grow if only you are not together.

For me your move is right.

In TS' situation, this will be her second Marriage in case makasal sya sa bf nya. The last thing she needs is to feed another individual aside from her kid. This is a No-No sa mga second marriages kasi kid/s are involved. Imbes na mag-upgrade ka, lalo ka pa na downgrade, and worse case, at the expense pa syempre of your kids.
