How was your experience when you passed your application?

Nakakadisappoint kanina sa VFS France. 12:45 PM yung appointment ko pero natawag ako past 3pm na. Natapos ako around 4pm. I thought kaya every 15 minutes yung schedule kasi mabilis lang naman ang flow dahil ipapass lang naman ang documents, magbabayad ng fees tapos biometrics. Napansin ko kaya sobrang tumagal kasi walang nagcheck sa entrance palang if complete and in order yung mga documents. Sa ibang embassy kasi bago ka pa bigyan ng number to queue, sinisigurado nila na dala mo lahat ng kailangan at nakaayos na sya. Yung mga applicants na nauna sa akin doon pa sa harap ng counter nag-ayos ng mga papeles. Tapos nung ako na yung nasa counter, ang dami pa ding naglalapitan na ibang tao asking questions, hindi tuloy maasikaso kung sino yung nasa harapan. Kung consul lang sana yon, magiging mahigpit sila for sure, hindi pwede basta lumapit. The best pa din talaga ang system sa US Visa. Walang hassle at orderly sa loob. Minsan mas okay pa talaga na mahigpit, at least nasusunod yung scheduled  time.

Anyway, sana maging ok naman ang lahat. Hopefully ma-grant ang multiple entry para mga ilang taon din mapakinabangan yung visa since torture mag-apply.

Got our schengen visa from swiss embassy after 7 working days. Multiple entry pero 3months validity, sana sa next schengen namin 1 year na ibigay.

^^same tayo ng naexperience sis at sa totoo lang ang iingay habang naghihintay ng turn nila. Komo walang sumasaway, lakas ng daldal about sa travel nila. Nun sa French Embassy, yun mataray na nag-interview lang maririnig mo dahil tahimik ang kapaligiran.


@mama squeak,  sa renewal pala sis hindi basta pag mag-expire na yun ME visa or malapit na matapos yung ika-1yr ng expired ME visa pwede ng mag apply for renewal. Dapat ang travel date e ang alis within 90 days pa rin. Bale if april pa alis namin, hindi na kami qualified as renewal kasi jan-feb na kami mag apply.

May worry kasi ako dahil sa iniba ko sched nun travel (hoping na ME ulit ang ibigay na at least 1yr) para pasok kami sa 90days na requirement so pinaiba ko yun sa travel insurance.

Naka-note lang yun change of date sa travel pero reflected pa rin yun dating petsa.

Kaya naisip ko wag ng ituloy. Baka kasi ibigay lang e 3 months so hindi pa rin kami makakaalis ng apr. kahit 6 months ang ibigay d pa rin aabot sa target na apr 26.

Nanghihinayang kasi ako sa visa plus processing fee, madali nga documentary requirements e useless naman.

Ano kaya mas ok, yun magrenew this month na kaunti dokumento lang kailangan or mag-apply na lang ulit na may maraming requirements?

^yup, renewal should be within the prescribed time line requirement. Follow mo pa rin yung 3 months before ETD yung application mo. Swerte na lang kung pasok ka sa renewal time line as you don't have to submit as much documents as new applications. My visa will be expiring in 2019 so I just have to make sure I go to Europe within the grace period para di hassle ang documents. Wag lang sana magbago ang requirements by that time.

I just checked the checklist of requirements for French visa application and it's kinda overwhelming lalo na yung proof of accommodation if you are staying with a French resident.

Saan kayo naga-avail ng international insurance with a coverage of at least EUR30,000? And how much?

Just an update:

Nung Nov 22, 10AM ang appointment ko sa VFS France. Maayos at mabilis lang yung entire process as long as your documents are complete. They accept naman pala yung group insurance namin sa company since the coverage is more than their requirement.

Amazing how fast the entire process was. Got my passport back on Nov 24 (visa issuance date Nov 23).

My fiance and I are planning to get married by April in the Netherlands. My question is in applying for a schengen tourist visa, do I need to declare that I am a working student?

you can sis, if you can show proof of income.  Pero if your fiancee is doing all the paperwork (or sponsorship for you), mas titingnan yung background or assets nya if he's capable to sponsor you sa NL or not.

It's a good start sa France, pero personally  I'm not a fan of it.. if you've been there already and loved it..good for you.. pero if it's your first..don't expect much
Italy - loveit
Prague loveit  10x more romatic than Paris   
NL -loveit

Best route actually depends kung san mura ang tickets. Check easyjet, ryanair, wizzair, klm, norwegian airlines & Transavia for cheap flights. Agree ako  na-mag exit sa  either sa France or Netherlands

Just got back from France and I loved it. Went to Pau (went up the Pyrenees), Lourdes, Bayonne, La Rochelle, and Paris. It snowed in Paris and it was really nice. Kaso Eiffel lang nakita ko. 🙁 Haven?t been to any other European country so I don?t know lang how it compares.

1st timer here to apply for a schengen visa.

dahil sa travel fairs last Feb, di ko napigilan bumili na ng RT tickets which are non refundable - kahit wala pa kami visa! haha risky i know pero sayang ang deals eh. 

submitted our application at VFS - France last wednesday 7:00AM sched and by Friday morning ready na for pickup. fast and efficient submission siguro kasi complete din ang reqts namin. we dealt with professional staff.

fortunately we were granted with multiple entries for 30 days, sakto sa tickets namin + bonus pwede pa lumabas ng schengen. ayos!

tips:
bags are not allowed so to avoid locker fees, do not bring bags
do not avail SMS notifs dahil may real time global tracking tool naman ang VFS

mga sis question. Plan ko magapply ng visa next year since my mom wants to go to Turkey, baka magGreece and France na rin kami. Diba sa pagkuha ng visa may means of subsistence per Schengen country? Sa Greece nasa 60 euros and then sa France is 130 euros. Okay lang ba na pag kukuha ng visa ang sundin namin is yung sa Greece na 60 euros? Since dun din naman yung first point of entry namin and mas magstay longer. Orpag nilagay namin sa itinerary na pupunta kami France, kelangan din namin ipakita sa bank statement na may 130 euros per day kami for France?

We applied sa Italy via VIA last 2016. Submission of documents lang, no interview. We got our visas in two weeks.
