Kay Gothamista ko rin nakita tong The Ordinary, gustong gusto ko yung itsura ng packaging nila. Unfortunately never pa ako nakapag try ng products nila, sana maging available sa BeautyMNL or something  :(

I think they're available in the Philippines through https://mupstore.com/ ...lots of resellers on Instagram as well.

Anyway, I've since added The Ordinary's Niacinamide + Zinc in the AM and the Ascorbyl Glucoside Solution (Vitamin C) for a week now, and they've cut back on my oily T-zone...I hope continued use will get rid of it completely.

I was using the pill to control my oiliness sa Pinas, but my pill is banned in Canada, so I've had to resort to other methods.

Niacinamide did not work that well for me. Maybe it did, but the effect is probably so mild that I didn't even notice it. Used 3 to 4 bottles I think.

I'm going to continue using Arbutin. This is my 3rd bottle. Effect is as disappointing as Niacinamide, so I'm mixing it with whatever serum I'm using but just as a booster.

Their foundations are not good. I have both the serum and coverage. They make my pores more pronounced, and they don't last long.

Their AHA BHA peeling solution is the real deal. Could only use it once a week. It is that strong.

Azelaic Acid concentration is too low. I think I need 15% to 20%. Maybe this is a good "training ground" for those who want to ease in to 15%? Not sure. Stopped using this muna. Will try again when my pigmentation is not solved by my new routine.

Granactive Retinoid 2% Emulsion is probably okay, but can't tell as I only used a little more than half a bottle. Just used it as a "training ground," bec I'm shifting to the real Tretinoin next week.

MAP (Magnesium something) was so-so. Stopped using this for a while. Decided to finish my Timeless Vit C.

Too soon to review, but currently using: Buffet

Lined up in my shelf: Lactic Acid, Vit C Suspension, Vic C Silicone.

Interested in this brand, as well. I?m just really confused with what to use since most of the products target the same skin problems.

I used alpha arbutin and niacinamide, is it normal magkapimples after 5days? Or discontinue na? :(

I'm trying out these products din. I started using Niacinamide+zinc and alpha arbutin as part of my evening routing. Effective siya sakin, naglighten yung acne scars ko and parang nag smoothen yung pores. Been using it for 2-3 weeks palang. So far wala naman breakouts.

Pero I use vitamin C (klairs) as part of morning routine naman.

I also bought the buffet and hyaluronic but yet to try kasi check ko muna effect nung niacinamide and alpha. Marami palang naghahanap nito, makapag uwi kaya this christmas to sell? :)

My yoga teacher just complimented my skin, LOL. Been about two months now.

Anyway, I'm finding I prefer the NIOD and Hylamide lines over The Ordinary. Though I do think the two Ordinary products I'm using (Niacinamide+Zinc and Ascorbyl Glucoside) do help with oil control, which was pretty bad when I was using just NIOD and Hylamide.

hope ok siya, make up artist choice sana yung ittry ko na brand kaso nagkakaproblem ng shipping, 3 months na wala pa so ni refund na lang nila, sayang.

I've been on Niacinamide for about a week now and I have a few small pimples too. Pero I have about 3 cystic acnes sa chin before starting, so they might not be the culprit.

I feel like my skin is bumpy lately though and I want some gentle peeling.
Can anyone advise if I should go for the Granactive Retinoid 2% or AHA BHA solution?

Deciem's AHA peeling solution is very strong. Lactic acid would be gentler. I heard great reviews about the Glycolic Toner. Was supposed to try that next, but I want strong acids so that I will only use it once a week, so I settled for ALA instead.

^ Thanks! Actually, yun nga din nabili ko yung Lactic Acid because the store I was going to buy it from didn't have any of the earlier choices. So far happy naman.

Niacinamide in the AM and Lactic Acid in the PM. Then NR Aloe Vera Gel after each.

After reading a lot of good reviews, I purchased and tried The Ordinary High-Adherence Silicone Primer. Naku, parang na-highlight naman masyado pores ko. Sayang, it's quite cheap pa naman. 🙁

^ako naman sis I love that primer. Super mura and it really works with better make-up application!!

I have tried a lot of their other products too and love them and their price point. Some products work well some are okay. I like their retinoid, their azaleac acid, salicylic acid mask, EUK, and the NIOD hyaluronic acid (MMA yata) I forgot the name. I love how easily it absorbed on my skin!!

I have the lactic acid but wala sayang effect sa skin ko.

I'm an overall fan and it's now my main skin care line, with a few other brands/products na holy grail for me.

Jumping on the bandwagon. But I need to do a thorough research and read your reviews here first before I proceed, the products are pretty straight forward but for someone like me it can be overwhelming. Lots and lots of make up gurus/Influencers and Celebrities are using The Ordinary skincare line, and I'm astounded to know that the items are pretty affordable. I hope they ship here in the Middle East, and that they work well with my skin condition. Ang hirap mamili andaming products that seem to target the same issues, like acne marks, pores, etc.

I'd like to try ordering sa mismong Website nila, has anyone tried it? Mas ok ba sa OL shops talaga? Im based in Qatar, and wow, halos triple patong ng OL shops here not to mention hinde din kumpleto products nila, though of course may shipping fee na dapat iconsider.  Sa mismong website nila 40 $ ang shipping to Qatar, i-check ko sa cloud10beauty .:o

So far these are the much raved products that I've been meaning to try and will order soon:

Niacinamide with zinc and lactic acid 5% - AM
Hyaluronic Acid + B5 - AM
Salicylic Acid 2% Solution - PM
Buffet - PM
AHA +BHA Peeling Solution - use once a week only

Masyado ba matapang, Im kind of used to acids kasi, I love peeling/bleaching creams from Dermas or mga OTC/drugstore brands. What else should I add ba for hydration/moisturizer?

Ok kaya eto isabay sa Pixi Glow Tonic, dying to order/try this toner too.  ;D

I live in the US so I'm lucky to have access to pretty much whatever my heart desires. As a result I got to try a lot of deciem products very early. And I've tried everything else in the market na yata. Skin care addict ako, as in. I throw products and I keep buying. Overflowing sa medicine cabinet namin walang room for hubby's things pero he indulges me thank God.

When I first discovered them over a year ago, I had to order from them directly but this year they are not available online via Sephora.

Disclaimer sis: skincare is relative in that our needs are different and the effects on us our different. So before I go on a review I'll explain what my skin condition is, and needs are.

I have combination skin and a bit acne prone. Nothing major but when I get a breakout it's usually a big cystic acne. My needs naman: well I want my pores unclogged constantly because I have that cystic acne fear. I also apply tretinoin as per my Derma, so I need sun protection. I have dull looking skin even when my skin is clear, so I want to brighten my skin.

Sa lahat ng na-try ko na products ng deciem, yung repeat buys ko are the following:
- NIOD MMHC2
For me this is the best hyaluronic acid (which helps our skin absorb and retain moisture). When I use this I feel how supple my skin is again after a few days. Supple as in baby skin. As we age our skins ability to retain moisture weakens so even if you put good moisturizer, pointless. I love this one since it is easy to absorb, instant, and I noticed a difference.
- Granactive Retinoid Emulsion 2.0%
Tried this to compare with prescription retinoids, and I love it. The formation is obviously different but this is a good daily Retinoid treatment. Retinoid is pretty much the magic of science based skin care.
- Azelaic Acid 10%
This really brightened my face. Effective sya for dull skin. Using this is a matter of preference - do you want this acid or vitamin C and how? You prefer cream or serum? Plus will it work with your other regimens? I don't think tretinoin and vitamin C/Azelaic Acid go together so I had to give this up and just go on a milder formulation (Drunk elephant c-firma) which I use on mornings when I didn't tretinoin the night before para alternating.
- AHA/BHA peeling solution
This one is, IMO, a must for every skins type. This is my holy grail deciem product. It's a once a week peel to resurface our skin. I find this formulation perfectly balanced - strong enough for my sensitized skin, but mild enough not to cause damage and for novice use. Everyone benefits from peels and as a maintenance super okay sya for me -- instead of going to a Derma/skin spa, mas mura pa Ito and comfortable to use in my own home. (I highly recommend this)

I also use/used a lot of other Deciem products like the ELAN, EUK, Vitamin C suspensions, the silicone primer, mastic musk, regular hyaluronic acid, niacinamide, etc. But like I said our needs and priorities are different. The mastic musk is not skin care, I find it effective but it's an emergency treatment not long term. When I use it, wow major skin-glow. But it's a superficial treatment that has no long term effect. So I only use it on days I want to look my best like if hubby and I have an event, or something. Niacinamide is well-loved but somehow does not work for me, I find hyaluronic and a good moisturizer (abuse la mer cream) way more effective for me so I skipped niacinamide. The other acids like EUK? Vitamin C spheres and suspensions naman and Azelaic, they all worked well for me but it all boiled down to preference and how they fit into my regimen.

Finally,some resources:
Here's a routine guide from deciem:
https://theordinary.com/regimenguide

There is an IG account that breaks down cult favorite skin care, I follow it and it's very informative. It's called re_issue
https://www.instagram.com/re_issue

One more thing:
There's serious drama going on at Deciem. It's founder Brandon has been having a long public meltdown on social media and has marginalized a lot of his business partners and suppliers and has created a toxic environment at Deciem. IMO, he is a brilliant mind (hence the great products), but has poor management and leadership skills. Like Steve Jobs. I'm saying this because I'm bating my breath that this will cause the company to be sold/or change its value-proposition (estee Lauder has a stake in them) which will change pricing. :(

@lalee888 thank you so much sis. Super informative. I also have combination skin and usully gets cystic acne especially when im about to get my period or when stressed out.

I will surely try one of these products kapag naubos ko na yung current na ginagamit ko.

Ohmy. Tataas ang price kapag estee ang humawak. Sayang naman yung potential ng pagiging affordable niya now kung magiging highend ng konti.
