In your opinion, where is the best:

1. Laksa
2. Chicken rice
3. Chili crabs

1. Laksa - I love Katong Laksa.

2. Chicken rice Boon Tong Kee at River Valley. You will see the difference of Boon Tong Kee there and here. Mas dry dito. Dun itsss sssoooooo gooooodddd!!!

3. Chili crabs - Jumbo seafood 🤤🤤🤤

If you are after sa view ng SG, i suggest you go to SG flyer. For me mas okay sya. We only go to Marina Bay to go to Spago. Its a must for us to eat Smoke Salmon Pizza everytime nasa SG kame. Usually lunch time kame pumupunta, mas mura kasi 😉

I suggest you try to go Gardens by the bay, at night meron sila na light show sa Super tree grove. Meron rin sa may Merlion Park.

Just came from SG and on our First day we went to USS, we got the Express one for additional 50SGD, it was worth it kasi haba ng pila to think we were there Thursday, and my daughter even rode the carousel from Far Far Away thrice dahil walang pila pero to think talagang haba ng pila. for one day hindi kaya kung walang express for me lang ha, kasi feeling ko aabutin ng halos 1 hour every pila.. kung lahat try hindi kaya ng 1 day, we finished all the ride at around 5PM may break pa kami.

We ate at Louis pizza super big for me affordable naman siya they have 69SGD for a meal with pizza, 3 soft drinks and 2 desserts na..

Overall, I love USS compared to HK Disneyland

I think these three na ang cheapest place to buy souvenirs. Tyagaan lang sa paghahanap.  Minsan mura sa isa, then mahal sa kabilang place. Try mo rin sa Mustafa.

Ako rin when I tried the one at Rockwell, ay dry.. sabi namin ni hubby iba talaga yung sa SG.

Chocolates kasi sis sa Candylicious kame namimili sa may laba ng Universal. Pero last time yung bestfriend ko nakabili ng mga chocolates sa Lucky Plaza. Mura actually. Try mo rin. Havent tried mamili sa Mustafa ng chocolates. mga ibang souvenirs binili ko dun kasi nasa area na kame. Medyo nakakalito kang sa loob ng mustafa sis ha. And medyo mahirap ang taxi but mura naman sya plus 24 hrs sya

^^ Sis, parang kahit saang bansa naman, kung hindi kayo mag-cab or mag-rent nang car to go around, marami talagang lakaran. Stroller-friendly naman ang trains at buses in SG.

Okay ang Singapore Zoo, pwedeng diretso na rin kayo sa River Safari kasi nasa isang area lang 'yun.

Haha, sabagay sis. Nice to know stroller-friendly ang trains and buses. First time kasi namin mag travel with baby. I see, note ko yang SG zoo and river safari. Thank you sis!

True. Sometimes, nasa floors palang, anlaki ng price difference kaloka hahaha (sa lucky plaza). One SG veteran insists on Bugis, another insists on LuckyPlaza.. Another insists on Chinatown.. maybe what are the best things to buy from each place? Where's the best place to buy affordable clothes?

I saw this artisan dessert place sa may brownie ata na may gold leaf or thin gold on top... And macaroon inception.. Like there's a giant macaroon (maybe 50-70% of the regular yum size) then open siya (unlike the usual macaroon na closed sandwich) then may macaroon inside. lol It's a stall going to the "waxed" ice rink in MBS and their food court (near ilaoilao).. does anyone know what the name is?

re souvernirs i havent been sa bugis. but sa chinatown kami nagstay. for reference sa chinatown: keychains if i remember correctly are about half a dollar each. syempre pag mas madami bbilhin mas makakamura. pag 5 sgd = 12 pcs. yung nailcutter was a dollar each pero pag 10sgd, 12 pcs. tas yung shotglass was at 2 sgd. may nabili din akong shirts na i <3 SG at 2sgd each. but manipis lang yung tela but its okay. masabi lang na may shirt lol. tapos yung pinakanagustuhan ko is yung 7pcs na canvass bag for 10sgd. pag 5sgd, 3pcs bag. maganda din yung quality. parang lumalabas 50ish petot lang.

nag backread ako sa threads 23, 25 & 26. hindi ko ma search yung older threads pa, walang lumalabas. dami ko pa gustong malaman, hindi ko pa kasi mavisualize paano kami mag commute haha. kasama namin yung 1yr old baby ko tapos 5 kaming adults, anong mode of transpo kaya mas ok? pag uber baka hindi kami kasya kasi. mrt? bus? taxi?

saka sa airport pala, anong magandang bilhin? san mura ang swatch/MK watches? how about yung longchamp bags? may kakilala kasi akong nagbebenta, sa sg daw yung supplier nya. since punta naman kami, dun nalang ako bibili hehe. maraming salamat po sa sasagot.

^sis, kami 5 din. if by taxi, you have to take 2 units. ayaw nila ng maraming sakay. we also tried the mrt and bus, ok naman sya saka mas mura. pero kung gusto mo ng comfort, taxi nga, mahal nga lang. nung 3rd night namin, nagsplurge kami, taking the "limo", it's actually a van which was a right decision kasi biglang buhos ang ulan from sentosa.

we also bought a sim card, tapos naghotspot na lang ang daughter ko. 10GB for 4 days is enough. sobra pa nga.

been to SG twice, talagang sa bugis ako bumibili ng murang souvenirs.

^thank you so much sis! note ko lahat yan. may i know san pwede mag rent nung "limo" sis? yung mrt nila hindi naman siguro siksikan no? parang hk din na maraming tao sa stations pero sa train mismo hindi naman blockbuster? hehe. i won't mind naman if ever. siguro pag maulan nalang talaga. anong month kayo nagpunta sis? march 7-10 kami kaya naghahanap na rin ako accommodation, baka airbnb nalang kasi mahal pag hotel.

additional qq pala, kasi karamihan ng murang condo sa airbnb ang location is sa geylang, diba red light district yun? i saw 1 place na stone throw away lang daw from aljunied station. ok lang kaya? pero hanap pa rin ako ng iba.

^hello sis, the hotels can help you, actually nag-o-offer pa nga sila nyan instead of 2 cabs. nope, the mrt is not sikisikan, ok lang. akala mo lang maraming pasahero. kaya lang ang bilis ng mga escalators haha bus ganun din, kahit nakatayo, comfortable. recently lang kami nagpunta (Oct 28-31). ang init, tapos uulan.

sa bugis kami nakahanap ng hotel, maliit ang rooms pero malapit sa happenings haha saka sa stations.

^ah hotels pala nag ooffer. nito lang pala kayo nagpunta sg sis.. nice to know hindi siksikan sa mrt and bus. try ko hanap sa bugis area, ang mamahal kasi ng hotels na nakita ko kahit considered cheap hotel sya, o kuripot lang siguro ako haha. thanks ng marami sis!

^ sis pag rush hour ng weekdays, siksikan din pero hinde naman tulakan like dito satin, hinde nga lang nakahiwalay ang babae sa lalaki tapos pag natabi ka pa sa mabaho  .
Sa Red & Greenline lang naman ganito & kapag nasa city lang, palabas ng city nababawasan na din mga tao.
mahal talaga hotels sa SG sis, the cheapest siguro na you can find eh nasa 50$ (1800php) pero panget to. Average sa Geylang nasa 70 to 80$, outside Geylang, nasa 100$ na siguro cheapest. Ok na siguro yung Condo near Aljunied Stn, yes it's in Geylang pero kung near the Stn naman oks na. Hinde gano malapit sa Aljunied station yung sentro ng action sa Geylang.  It's a good location na din, just a few more stops lang nasa City ka na.

^ agree... I remember 3.5k - 3.7k ata per night yung hotel namin pero with bfast, and nasa orchard na. Just outside our hotel, meron na din bus stop... so keribels talaga.. If I want to go to the MRT, meron 400 meter walk - yung Stevens MRT. I preferred to ride the bus, and get dropped off at Orchard MRT instead because I'm lazy. lol anyway unli naman yung pass ko for 3 days =)

^yup sis, my 1st was last April, official trip. sa marina mandarin naman ako nag-stay kasi company-paid. saka may car yung friend ng brother ko, inikot nya kami kaya hindi ako naka-try ng bus or taxi. yung convention venue, walking distance lang.
unlike the recent one with my family, talagang gusto nila maexperience yung public transpo dun

Thanks so much sis ficklemind! Iconsider ko na yung malapit sa Aljunied MRT. Try ko lang din hanap pa siguro ng mas swak sa budget at ok ang reviews. Good to know hindi naman siksikan sa MRT, hehe.

Buti nabanggit mo yung pass, sis minatay. Nireresearch ko pa kung alin ang mas sulit. Hindi ko pa kasi alam kung alin sa mga balak namin puntahan yung magkakalapit.

Sis billy, thanks! Oo nga, gusto rin namin din matry yung public transpo. Kasama naman namin yung 2 brothers ko kaya kung sakali may tutulong naman sa amin ni hubby magkarga kay baby haha. Kalaban lang talaga kapag umulan. Sis would you know saan ok mamili ng gamit ng bata? Gusto ko rin kasi bilhan yung baby ko, minsan lang makapag SG, sulitin ko na.

I stayed for a month in SG back in the summer of 2012, nakaka miss ang 1 $ ice cream, chicken rice (melts in the mouth grabe) and mga iced chai. Ang hinde ko na-miss ay ang lagkit (humid) at init ng panahon that time at at umaatikabong lakaran haha!

^ where do you find the delicious food? Grabe parang wala talaga akong nakita na super yummy amazing delicious food there that everyone keeps harping about... sadness.. KFC chicken lang ata yung nakain ko na na.amaze ako sa sarap... may special limited flavor sila...

Okay yung pass sis, unless 2-3 days ka sa sentosa.. di kase covered yung sentosa express.. lahat ng special buses and express trains di pwede..pero for going around SG, it's really good Same lang nagasto ko sa friend ko na may loadable card...

Singapore is just lovely... except the weather.. pero di ko siya masyado ma.feel kase palaging underground ako hahaha natuwa ako nagshopping... timing kase SG sale so shopping ako sa Suntec...may good deals if humanap ka talaga. Siguro pinakainit yung nasa USS ako.. hahah tip dala ka ng portable fan It was the best suggestion my friend had!
